Hotel located opposite the center Bourse and close to the old port and public transport. The rooms are spacious and have separate bathrooms and toilets. The rich breakfast. The staff is professional and friendly. Thank you for telling us good restaurants!

Stayed 3 nights (Mon to Thur) in a privilege room on the 11th floor. The room was spacious, with very modern, almost 5* level decor (the exception was the painted stucco wall, which cheapens the overall feel of the room). The room came with a complimentary minibar with water/juice/pop. It only had a small window, so it felt a bit dark, though we had a full view of the Roman ruins in the Jardin des Vestiges next door, and in a distance we could see the top of the boats in the old port. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The wifi in the room worked well. The one major issue we had with the room was the air quality (poor circulation and dryness). Our room was cleaned daily, though we did have one recurring issues with housekeeping. Location-wise, pretty convenient. As mentioned, a short walk from the old port area. Just east of the hotel was the busy Belsunce district, with tons of restaurant and shopping options (though front desk staff advised us to avoid the area late at night, so we stayed close to the old port for our late dinners). The train station is close by, though cab rides to/from it were fairly torturous at all hours due to traffic.

This hotel is just sublime. Very welcome. The place is very quiet so you can rest during your stay. The room as the description nothing to say, pretty and super clean. Also a nice view of the good mother of Marseilles. I recommend

This rating is based on the wait staff service at the petite dejeuner.
The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. There're was one young lady that was either very shy, not very friendly or not too interested in her job or the people. The others were accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The orange juice was fresh. And the food was good. I was happy to have hot coffee AND Hot milk.

Great location, room was very clean, well stocked and maintained, and quiet. Breakfast in the bright and welcoming dining area was excellent, with more than enough variety to satisfy all tastes and hungers. The view from the room was lovely: we looked towards Notre Dame de la Garde. The staff were top-notch

What a great hotel! I've left a bunch of reviews after my first trip to France because I found the reviews of other users very helpful. It seems as though they are sometimes more accurate than hotel star ratings. This hotel for me was awesome! As a North American, the Mercure Marseille Centre Vieux Port Hotel was the closest to what I am used to back home.

Location wise, it was a 5 minute walk from the centre of the city with tons of restaurants and shops which seemed to comprise mostly of fellow tourists. There was a lot of local construction in the area but it wasn't noisy in the hotel.

I stayed in a classic room and my friends stayed in a superior room. The rooms were clean, reasonably large and didn't feel claustrophobic and more importantly, the bathrooms were modern, clean, and the toilet wasn't right up against a wall! They provided a large mini fridge, Nuxe shampoo / body wash and plenty of clean towels. The superior rooms were slightly bigger and had a Nespresso machine.

On the downside, the shower didn't have a curtain (which might be a european thing) so the floor got a little wet. There was no safe in the room either. Other than that, there was not much to nitpick about the rooms. The hotel itself seemed pretty new. The parking was a bit of a trek and difficult to find the first time. The "gym" a small room with a couple of non-functional pieces of equipment and there was no pool (google said there was on the amenities list) but overall, this was a great hotel that I would highly recommend! If I ever went to Marseille again, this hotel would be at the top of my list.

The staff does not do anything when you mention a problem, they respond with a: ok. Staff that stretches behind the bar. Very unprofessional My television did not look good and the wifi worked badly. When they told me, they did not give me any solution. The parking is far away and it is tremendously cumbersome. After paying at the hotel I put the ticket and asked for the system to pay again. The shop assistant did not understand English or Spanish and had to be helped by a friendly man to solve the problem. Not recommended although the room was quite good.

Why is it different from the photo room introduced on the web? If you protest the front desk, the room is said to be standard, and if it is not deluxe, there are no amenities, slippers and bathrobes! I have stayed at Mercure Ginza, but the service is completely different. Here we brought all the amenities, and for this fee were the worst 3 hotels in life.

I only go to the Mercure hotel but there ... What a disappointment. The first night, the tissue dispenser was empty. I make the note at the reception the next day and the receptionist takes note. I returned late afternoon, the distributor was always empty! So, second claim! In addition, the cleanliness of the bathroom is more than doubtful, as evidenced by the picture I took, in close-up, the contour of the bath (room 415) ... And it's a 4-star hotel !!!! Who are we laughing at ???
