Had a terrible stay at the intercontinental. Hotel is o/k although rooms are on the smaller side of 5* standard. Check in was stupidly awkward, hostess was rude : when she realized the hotel website offered more competitive pricing compared More

I am usually on the road at least 200+ nights a year and stay in all manner of hotels, but this is probably the nicest I have ever stayed in. This is my first trip outside of the states and given that I had a bit of anxiety over the language barrier, they have done everything they can to help me out. The staff I have spoken with have been fluent in both english as well as french and are very always helpful. Probably a bit pricier than other hotels but worth every penny/euro.

Very nice hotel and fantastically located! Staff is always friendly, especially the reception by Benjamin was very good. Rooms are very modern, clean and it is very much on the wishes of the guests! Breakfast was also very good, although the service more like 4 stars (plates very late cleared, not really attentive). All in all, top.

Service and impeccable welcome

Service and impeccable welcome
Waiters at breakfast care and very available. Buffet breakfast very varied and very good.
I recommend. Only downside: the curtains of the rooms that leave a little light so not very top.

Not at the search level. the setting and the hotel are beautiful but the service is not up to elitist rates, especially for the bar. Add to this a beautiful terrace but so impersonal, will have to work on the home, which is ultimately the most important things in the hotel, especially luxury.

Splendid!

Splendid!

A beautiful architecture highlighted, a sharp decoration and a card of the most enticing.

Mr L. lives up to his reputation. Refined, original and beautiful !!

Only downside, some lengths in the service. Let's be tolerant, give the team time to put themselves in place.

Very nice the old Hotel-Dieu de Marseille converted into a large hall a beautiful terrace where you can have a drink while looking in front of the good mother in the evening you will also have a group where we say ok that comes to animate this terrace and drink this expensive but not inaccessible 5 coffee but at that price you will see the good mother in front after being climbed by the majestic staircase

Brasserie very disappointing: We were served an appetizer in a large bowl, with little product but especially with a plastic spoon and washed !! We did not taste the champagne before serving us! As for the bar the quantities served are derisory compared
at the price, count for a digestive 26 euros !! by cons the view is beautiful
and suitable staff; Too bad for a place of this status, many benefits to see again ROGER AND PATRICIA CANNES

A really lovely property in Marseille. You are up on the hill and have a great view of the Notre-Dame de la Garde from the front. The hotel is in a building that served as a hospital for over 800 years so there is a lot of history to take in. The rooftop bar/lounge has swinging chairs and a bar to enjoy. We even had live music in the evening.

The room was very comfortable, the bed was one of the best I've slept in. Staff was helpful in directing us to local places but was a little overbearing. I appreciate being thanked for being a loyal IHG member but after the 5th time thanking me I got the point. A silly thing to criticize the hotel for I guess. Overall this was a 5-star stay for us.

Sunday at noon around noon, we tried in vain to get a coffee and a coke under the arcades. On relaunch of the waitress, in a courteous tone, arrogant response, and still no service. All this not at the level of ambitions and tariffs ...

Fantastically located. The rooms are clean and spacious.
We were with a very large group there-you were not set up that right. The breakfast buffet was always missing something, in the evening took the drinks extremely long.
All in all a wonderful hotel.

I did not stay there but I was lucky to participate in a cocktail reception in the reception room which left me a very nice impression.
Located on the heights of the Old Port, the Intercontinental offers a breathtaking view of Marseille by night.

The only good thing in this hotel were the size of the rooms. However, the room at first had a smell, we had to ask twice for a refresher to be provided. The hotel's service is close to none. When we addressed the issue, the duty manager just the spray, and was very rude on the phone. I mean a hotel is not just the exterior nice appearance but also the service that they provide! The concierge was clueless of the shows in the adjacent cities and literally said" no I cant see anything you should drive there and ask them for more info".

I wish they paid more attention on their service as many people upon checkout had the same issue.

Beautiful hotel. It was originally a hospital and was converted to a hotel. The spaces are enormous, the ceiling height even in the rooms is substantial. The service is excellent, some of the highest service levels I have experienced. The two restaurants at the hotel are also superb, simple, well crafted dishes, although the portion sizes are a bit small, so if you are very hungry, you may need to order some appetizers. Very relaxed atmosphere, comfortable accomodations. The bathrooms were a treat. Huge soaking tubs, lovely showers, and not cramped, but spacious. The views are exceptional.

We were greeted by two members of the security department already we did not speak well limit he did not want to let us in while we were well dressed better than them ... after I had to insist on asking them to ask if he to stay a table for two at the restaurant the lady toki said of course there are still tables while this puppet we said that it would be surely complete, after his before entering the hotel he asked me to remove my cap without finally please my these inadmissible so I do not remove him who is he to ask me a thing like this after we arrive at the restaurant it is empty casiment the lady who sits back asks me to remove my cap I ask him why if her bother her she did not know how to answer the poor seem to be shocked after a waiter came to take our orders (drinks) five minutes later as we prepare to order this m even security person allows himself to come to our table to tell me 'listen sir I already told you once twice remove the cap have a little respect'm'a he says so from there I' immediately ask for the addition because I felt uncomfortable to stay in a place or limit it magresse this saying that at the end of the third time he would have kicked me brutally his language aggressive after one of the waiters my commeme ask if he could find us a table outside I said he could go see him and he came back and told me he had to wait an hour and offered to wait at the bar time my we did not have this time so I refused by insisting on the addition of the fact that I wanted to leave this place after a few minutes the server told us that everything was good that we could leave in nothing to pay I sigh and him and leave 10euro as a sign of respect we had j put a bottle of water on the table .. so in summary my evening had to happen except that this person spoiled me thank you again if you see a pity message that I did not have the idea to ask his first name because these really inadmissible to be welcomed in a 5 star hotel, had thrown several times to the restaurant without anything of all its finally very disappointed I do not think back especially if this person and there to welcome me again .

Extremely pleasant time at the hotel bar god. Muffled but casual atmosphere. Warm welcome and super professional. Varied cocktail menu, original and not so expensive considering the place. Waitresses and bar manager. Detailed explanations of drinks, ingredients and provenances. Certainly it's a glass, around 20 , but at this price, the frame, the quality, are really worth. At 10 the bad cocktail elsewhere ... Maybe you can choose the best way to drink less often. Go to their site, there are musical evenings. I will return ... not too often, but still

A magnificent establishment, by its location facing Notre-Dame de la Garde and the architecture of the places that has been beautifully restored. The service is not always up to the job even if it is nice.
