I stayed here a couple of years ago. It was really great, the room was very nice and the price was the same as the horrible hotel we had refused to patronize for a second night. After leaving that dumpster-fire behind we stumbled upon the Christie and were blown away. I was traveling with my boss at the time who uses a wheelchair and there were zero issues. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating to our specific needs. The area was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time in our off hours just driving through the mountains; healthy, gorgeous lush peaks standing in stark contrast to the lifeless barren ones, I'm assuming fracking? In any case, after one night in a terrible hotel, the Christie put us on track for a fantastic tone that felt more like a holiday than business trip. Next time I will go with my family and enjoy a leisurely vacation and I wouldn't stay anywhere else

Well, the location is great. This lodge is actually perfect if you don't want to cook, are either a couple or single, and plan on eating out a lot.
If staying here with more than one child, expect nothing spectacular. The rooms are all identical, so there is no upgrade. Space is not in the Christie Lodge's vocabulary. The bed was a small queen, there is no oven, only one countertop burner, and seating is minimal. You get one chest of drawers, a tiny closet, a very small refrigerator, minimal dishes, a dish washer, and a microwave. The bathroom was small, but updated. A very nice walk-in shower, but it leaked. Water pressure was not the best, but at least you get hot water.
There were outdoor, gas grilles available for us to use. The lodge did provide gas if it ran out. So you don't need to bring any grille supplies. This is how we cooked, and I didn't see anyone else using the grilles.
As the pictures show, there are many many stairs. There is one elevator, but it was very small and slow. This place does have a heated outdoor pool and several choices for jacuzzis. One outdoor and one on each wing indoors.
The shop owner/operator in the ski shop downstairs was rude and I let him know then walked out with my business going elsewhere.
The brightest part if the experience was the front desk gentleman named Alex. He was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating.

The Christie Lodge is beautiful! The staff is very friendly and very helpful. There are 3 indoor hot tubs, 1 outdoor, 1 indoor pool, and 1 outdoor. The rooms on the backside of the lodge face the mountains! It is a beautiful place!

A friend and I stayed at the Christie Lodge over the weekend and experienced excellent customer service from beginning to end! The place has definitely been through renovations lately and looks much better. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the first floor and loved the wood floors and beautiful new shower. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and it gets better with time. Would definitely recommend any season of the year

The Christie Lodge is a great affordable place in the middle of Avon making it perfect place to stay for cheap if you're looking to ski or ride at Beaver Creek. There's a bus that picks you up right out front and takes you up to the Beaver Creek Village. There's also transportation to Vail too. There's also a ton of great restaurants very near by.

Stayed for a week.staff were wonderful.rented bikes on site.
Great bikes top notch service at affordable prices.
Had a third floor room. Actually asked for the third floor, for the exercise.probably did a half mile of stairs. The lodge is huge . Many restaurants on site. Shopping close by,and liquor store across the street. Everyone, and I mean Everyone was Friendly and nice.
We had the time of our lives.

Bottom of the 1970's anyone. Sad part is that @ one point in time it may have been decent to stay in, but it hasn't changed since I was a kid. Still has the same ran down smell, the same smoke detectors and added 12 layers of paint trying to cover up the smoke stains (can barely close the doors). My kids dont want to touch anything.
You need to unload @ the Check in because that is the only chance to use your luggage on an elevator, then toy need to drag your things through a hallway no wider than a closet door. But keep in mind that the steps aren't over yet, oh' no' you will be unable to use the cool wheels that came on the luggage, because they ll be bouncing from each step from the non ADA Compliant building structure.
They advertise kitchen with utensils, bring your food cook here, huh?? A microwave and a beer cooler doesn't count as a kitchen, unless yep you guessed it dorm room cooking.
They have a fireplace alright ..... wait for it, wait ......with an air conditioner vented through it. It brings in soot to cool down and blow in our faces and yep you guessed it... in the kitchen, or is it lounge??
On a serious note:
Safety concerns
The fire/ smoke detectors are from the 70's and I would question as to the sensors even work. But let's say they did work, how do you get out? Well you grab these hokey chain ladders to throw off of the side of the rail on the balcony.
The bed covers look and smell as though they have been through a few naked people in their day.
The outlets sparked when plugging anything into them (must use caution and do not allow children to go near).
I understand that this is a time share, but it is a timeshare that no one should be proud of. The clowns @ the desk made me feel like I was asking to munch to have my luggage brought up and this is while I'm wearing my body wrap directly from my back surgery. Still never got help. I have been through a lot of hotels and own my own "timeshares" for various places and this one has the nerve to charge my card $663 before I had even checked in for a 2 night stay with a 10am check out. I pay $467 for the entire week @ Shereton Vistana across the street. But just didn't work for this particular event.

I will be adding more before my stay is over.

An odd place in a great location. More like a railroad car. Our room is over the washer/dryer room and it is running all day. A full sized dishwasher is not necessary for a room with a frying pan for a cook top. My ice cream is melting in the motel sized refrigerator "freezer" compartment. The shower curtain smelled awful. The bed is comfy, but right inside the outside door and right up against the wall. All the steps in odd places give you a workout. This place needs some major updating as a resort.

Most uncomfortable bed I ve ever slept on. Smaller than a queen and lumpy in all the wrong places. All the same way too big pillows as well. The worst chlorine smell all throughout the hotel. Everything is very old and dark. A depressing place

stayed in late June in a timeshare for the first time and absolutely loved it! everyone who worked there was so sweet and helpful. the view from the room was breathtaking, looking out onto the parking lot and mountain. the location is excellent, everything in town is within walking distance! the pool areas were always clean and never too busy, great to play in for children and relaxing for adults. having a subway in there was definitely a bonus! for being to Colorado for the first time, it was a great place to start the trip. it was quite at night. housekeeping did an excellent job. I wish I could stay there again! loved it!(:

Located in Avon, The Christie Lodge provides for a wonderful stay with spacious rooms with a kitchen, and complimentary Wi-Fi. There are several hot tubs, indoor and outdoor, a pool, and a delicious in-hotel pho restaurant. A shuttle takes you straight to Beaver Creek Village. Very friendly for skiers.

I love staying here at the Christy Lodge. It's got the best price in town and although the place is a little older, it is very clean and well kept and the staff is amaizing!!! They are so friendly and helpful. They always go out of their way to help you with anything you need. It has hot tubs and pools and everything is always as clean as can be. They are always keeping things nice and clean and comfortable for the guests and it shows. I love coming to this place with my kids because they love it too. The staff is really top notch and it feels like we're visiting the best family ever when we arrive. And they do activities for kids almost every day throughout the entire year. I highly recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff for always making our stay a great time. Can't wait to see you again soon.

The only bad thing I can say about the Christie Lodge is that parking is limited and if you park around the back u hav to walk more than you really want too. Other than that everything is fantastic. The staff is great, the place is clean, and it really gives you a nice mountain town feel.

Horrible!!! Was there for the whole week of thanksgiving. Construction started at 8am every morning including thanksgiving day... was in room 371, floor was uneven from water damage, and the noise of construction was a nightmare. Our son lives in Vail now and I guarantee I or anyone else visiting him will not be staying here!!! Absolutely discourteous and unprofessional!! Could not wait to check out. I ended up spending my last 2 night's at my son's house because of the lodge construction. Then wanted to try to sell me a time share there, NO WAY!!

Been coming here for a few years to ski in winter and bike in summer. I really appreciate the open layout of the halls, offering indoor pool, hot tub, and table tennis. A nice little pho restaurant and game room with pool tables are accessable from inside as well. Rooms have been renovated in recent years adding to this already charming lodges appeal.

All in all not a bad place. We were given a room on the north side which other than not getting any sun it's also the freeway side and noisy. We had a choice between the Christie and the Sheraton. We'll try the Sheraton next time or the Wyndham.

We stayed here in April of 2018. I am genuinely surprised that this place has 4 stars on google. I will say the good things first. The hardwood floors in the rooms are very nice and the pool was clean. The fire pits outside were really cool as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Here were the things that were not so good. The room was only cleaned once a week, which I thought was odd because every other hotel I have ever stayed at had the room cleaned every day. When it was cleaned, they did not only made the bed and did not change the sheets.
The entire hotel smells like an indoor pool because the indoor hot tub are not in a closed off area to contain the humidity, which makes it uncomfortable to be outside of your room. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and disgusting, and the inside and outside walls are covered in dirt the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. They only have elevators in one part, so you babe to walk all the way to the center of the hotel to use them.
The also, the bedroom was at the entrance of the room and the kitchen was in the back, so we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallways. It was really annoying.
I really hope they have improved since we stayed there!

Interesting layout with alternating zig-zag baconies, such that privacy is maximized. Great array of tongue-hinged hand trucks to carry belongings up. Very clean and comfortable. Good WI-Fi access and efficient staff & cleaning/maintenance crews. Two restaurants on site with several more within walking distance. Comfortable soft beds and plenty of outlets. Kitchen has one glass top burner, but plenty of cookware, silverware and glassware. This place provided more dish soap and dishwasher detergent than we have ever seen at a rental, plus 4 rolls of paper towels. Shower is large and remainde of bathroom has ample room. Three closets in this one bedroom apartment. Breakfast table seating 4 three person sleeper sofa and a reading chair in the bedroom, plus two extra stools in the closet for guests. Advisable to bring Rocu or Firestick to plug into TV, which has numerous channels but many for subscription only.

We are owners at The Christie Lodge and we stay there a few times a year. We recently had a very inconvenient experience regarding the reservations and room assignments. I emailed Erica Baldwin the Sunday evening after our stay and I had a response in my in-box Monday morning, as well as a VM. She was prompt to reach out to me, proactive to understanding our issues, and worked immediately to resolve them.

Coming from Guest Relations Management/Customer Service Industry I understand how difficult it is to find employees who are wired for customer service, and can provide it consistently. So, I truly appreciate Erica's immediate response, constant follow up, and commitment to resolve our issues.

Please recognize Erica for her efforts-she brings an invaluable (and very difficult to train) skill and asset to your organization. Especially in the time-share industry, which often has a poor reputation. It's people like Erica who help change that perception.

-Thank you,
Shawn Holder

I found the room to be shabby. The view was fair and there was a lot of highway noise. My main issue is the management. Their response to an issue we had was "it is not our fault". We had a similar problem on a previous visit to another hotel in Avon and the manager worked with us to find a solution.

We loved our stay at the Christie Lodge! We stayed 5 days and our room was remodeled and beautiful! The location is perfect for hiking and close to a variety of restaurants! We will be back for sure!

Our stay in Christie lodge was due to an I70 closure. They took our reservation over the phone and we're waiting for us when we arrive. The room was spacious, had more than enough bed space, and was very clean. They were courteous and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor pools as well as ping-pong for guests.

The Customer Service here is a joke I ended up paying more than I should have because they could not find my reservation. When I called to complain they told me that it was my fault and refused me a refund. Don't stay here unless you want to pay more than you want to.

Badly needs an update. Motel 8 is better than this. Only use the "Beaver Creek" location to jack up the price of a bad hotel. Rooms are setup very weird. (2 doors into 1 bathroom)

Leaks from the roof when it rains/snows on the inexplicable umbrella tables in the lobby.

Weird hotel. Would not advise staying here unless you have no other choice.

Located in Avon within walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. a ski/bike rental shop on site as well. Free bus service from the front door to skiing or around town Rooms are on the smaller side and most have been updated (ongoing). Multiple pools and hot tubs which are nice after a day of outdoor activity. Room was clean and kitchen with a larger refrigerator is nice. We have been here many times over the years and always enjoy it.

Convenient location in the town of Avon with a friendly and helpful staff. Layout is like a multilevel mall, levels can be confusing, and hallway carpet needs an update; overlook this, as unit interiors have been nicely redone, and complex amenities are nice.

We love this place we will definitely be back again. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is the location of the bedroom to the common area you could hear everything in the in the hallways and hot tub. Overall, great location to ski both Beaver Creek and Vail.

Having been an owner at this timeshare property for many years, I have to say, for the money, location and amenities you can't beat it in the Vail Valley. Yes, the building is older. Built in 1980 for the Winter Olympics at Beaver Creek that were never held in Beaver Creek, but held elsewhere. The 80's architecture with open atrium design with pools and hot tubs of that era is present. Noise and chlorine smell from the atrium can be an issue. I always request a unit at one end or the other away from the main pool area. Yes, it's kind of strange architecture with catwalks and stairs, but the units themselves are well maintained, updated, and cozy. Never have I felt the unit was dirty or run down. Not sure what these other negative posters saw that the vast majority of people didn't see. I tend not to believe these extremely negative posts.
Bus service just outside the door to the ski lifts is extremely convenient. Plenty of free parking. Keep in mind this is a timeshare property and not your usual 3 star hotel with daily maid service etc. However, they do a great job for this type of property. Having traveled extensively, this is a great value with a great location with a great staff. I have stayed in 5 star luxury properties I didn't like as well. I don't hesitate to recommend this property to friends.

This is a fun place to stay. Rooms have recently been remodeled and the bedroom is separate from the living/ kitchenette. No oven, microwave and cooktop with fridge. 4 hot tub's and pool. 6 stars on cleanliness! 5 minutes from beaver Creek.
1 min from I-70. 10 minutes from vail.

The staff is professional and knowledgeable. Very little turnover of personnel. The improvements are wonderful. Highly recommend you stay here!

We enjoyed our stay at the Christie lodge. Because our bedroom was so close to the entrance, it was a little bit noisy it the morning and in the evening time it was hard to put my 6 months old to sleep.

This hotel had such a homey feel we almost didn't want to leave. Very soft comfortable beds and our suite came with an entire kitchen equipped with all utensils and cookingware. Very friendly staff and 3 hot tubs! Loved this place!

Had to have them fix the TV and Internet. AC is a joke and the shower is awful and ended up having to use cold water. Room was way overpriced especially since there is no breakfast at all. All I can say is the room was clean and the bus boys were nice.
