Pools, jacuzzies, restaurants - all in the same building. Cannot believe it is just a "3 stars" hotel. I loved it
Pools, jacuzzies, restaurants - all in the same building. Cannot believe it is just a "3 stars" hotel. I loved it
I've been staying here since my kids were little. Reasonanle, clean, fun, plus entertainment and food options for the whole family.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great value for the money. Comfortable and quiet. My only issue is with the confusing layout. The building is very long. While there is a map of emergency exits, it doesn't identify room numbers. I was repeatedly confused as to which direction to go to get to my room for my 2 night stay. In addition, there are a lot of stairs, even on the same floor. Not fun to navigate when you are wearing ski boots. Staff is very friendly and they serve cold cucumber water in the lobby, which I loved. I also like the humidity that is pervasive becuase of the pool and jacuzzi. It feels great after a cold day of skiing in dry weather. I also liked all of the live plants this environment supports. All in all a nice experience.
I love the christie lodge's openness to recieve their cherished guests. With a fireplace in the room and an employee just around the corner to address any need, the christie lodge is a perfect place to spend a week or even a weekend with the ones you love. There was even a wine and cheese mixer to help the guests feel more at home.
The only drawback is the lack of direction from the maps outside the hallways. With the size of the building, getting lost is easy but having fun is even easier.
The hotel is nice, but the bed was too hard for me.
Great location, near beaver Creek ski mountain. Kitchenette , pool and wonderful pho restaurant attached. Right off the i70 interstate.
Best place to rent skis... Hands down some of the best service around...
Stayed here a couple of times during soccer tournaments. Boys loved the fact the had a Subway in the lodge
Close to amenities, great infoor/outdoor pool for kids along with games.
Our stay at the Lodge was amazing. The room was great, the staff was helpful and the experience was awesome. We will definitely be back. Thanks guys.
We got in late Thursday night 10/15 and the floor was very dirty/full of crumbs. Disappointed with how the situation was handled.
This place is great. The staff is so professional here. They are also very accommodating. There also very informative about what there is to do in the area. The building is so huge. The room was awesome and very clean. The only negative thing is the bed was not very comfortable. Other than that this place is the place to be lol. Ill be returning for another stay sometime in the future.
Very well located and the room was clean. But the staff on front desk were terrible, the service in general wasn't good
Great value for the area! Decent rooms, friendly service, right in the heart of Avon.
clean, convenient, reasonable. only issue, be in good shape hars to reach rooms lots of steps.
Not Vail but nearby. Noisy, sitting so close to the highway. Get a room on the front of the Lodge away from the highway and you should be OK.
Large resort, nice room. Hot tubs. Free parking. Food options close by.
Brand new rooms are nice. The outdoor heated pool and hot tubs are great. In the morning you can hear people (ski boots) walking by your room because the beds are right inside the door with the living area farther back inside the room. Basically the opposite of any other hotel I've ever been to
Everything the room said it would come with, or did. There is even shopettes underneath our room. However, our toilet had not been cleaned in months. It was giving the water a brown appearance. After my mom cleaned it the water and toilet were actually white. On top of that the water always comes out brown at first from the kitchen faucet and the shower. But it does return to appear like clean water.
Like a big whale beached on the side of i-70, you can't miss it. Pho 20 is cheap and legit. The lodge is standard. It's got it's own bus stop!
Just passing through and hanging out in Vail. Great area and setting. Love summer in the Rockies
We have stayed at Chiriste every year since it opened. Wonderful place to stay. Very well priced considering where you are staying. Seems to me that the people giving all the negative reviews are just basically negative people. Couldn't please them anyways. Keep up the good work!
The newly reinovated rooms have been excellent. And the bathroom is beautiful
Nice place, and great location. Tons of things to do nearby and at the resort, recreation-wise, as well as lots of restaurants and bars.
They had great amenities and we're very accommodating to our needs. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was good.
This place was just perfect! Loved the seperate living room with fireplace, kitchen and dinning table. Will definitely come back.
The staff was amazing and made you feel right at home!
The 3 bedroom suites are set up differently than we had hoped. You enter through a bedroom, but loved that we could just step outside our suite and sit at any of the patio tables through out the place. The Concierge was very helpful finding us deals and information!!!
Nice place to stay. Indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Front desk is awesome and you can rent skis or snowboards in the lobby at about $40 a day. However, you can take the bus to Sports Authority and rent for $20 a day.
I have been coming to the Christie Lodge since I was 4 (now 32). It only gets better with age:) they have done some wonderful renovations including updating the kitchenette, floors, decor, etc. Reslly enjoying my time here.
Great rooms, great appearance of the halls overall. The beds move pretty easily and pillows fall thru, but other than that, great place to stay in for vacations!
We were in the dog part of hotel the floor was dirty and still had a lot of dog hair on the floor, our deck had a terrible view your rental rates were terribly high compared to others. Then having to pay for our dog to stay there I think we should of been able to take him around the pool and hot tub cause we have his kennel.
Good place to stay and be close to everything in Vail Valley. Parking is easy, the room has ac, and the efficiency kitchen is good. I wish there was a small stove, but I can live without it on vacation
Location cannot be beaten and the folks are really nice and helpful. Bus access to resorts right outside the Lodge.
Had a great time over spring break. It was nice and relaxing.
What an experience! I think we had the worst view from our room in the whole place, room 132, but it didn t stop us from enjoying every minute of our week long stay. Everything we needed for our trip and more was right here in this lodge. Super easy bus access to Beaver Creek, ski shop to get the things we forgot, AMAZING restaurant (PHO20), hot tubs all over the place that were never crowded, an indoor and outdoor tub, great places to sit and chat, great concierge service with the perfect advice. It made our stay in Avon, Colorado so easy. Again, don t pick room 132 though. Bad view, right by the smoker area, noisy carpet installers during our stay (hopefully not yours!) and a terrible mattress to sleep on.
Rooms are reasonable and clean. Drain in tub was slow. In the process of renovating rooms. Hot tubs close at 9 inside but the one outside is open later.
Been coming here for 35 years. Still my favorite place in Avon.
The staff was great! Everyone was very helpful. We had a three bedroom room. It was a good size and had everything we needed. The room was very clean when we arrived. Rooms are up to date and very comfortable. They have a lot of amenities for kids like pool, ping pong, game room, hot tubs and more. The location of the Christie Lodge is perfect for families. We walked or rode to the park everyday. Walgreens, restaurants grocery stores and shopping are all within walking distance. It's only a short drive to some amazing hikes!
I have stayed here a few times because I own a week here. I just stayed for a Winter night while skiing. There is easy access to everything and the staff are helpful and friendly. I enjoy the wide variety of television stations.
It is very nice, I should still like to live there in my next trip in Avon.
Modern, clean rooms inside the equivalent of a little village. Absolutely wonderful.
Fun place but man is it a long walk to do anything in there! LOL!
Fairly inexpensive. Only 1 set of elevators, so if you are in the 'renovated' suites you have to haul your stuff across the entire complex. The hot tubs are nice looking, *very* chlorinated, and unfortunately not actually 'hot' - 1 of them was downright tepid.
The staff are very friendly, the rooms are cleaned quite well. Parking (other than the 'hoofing it to the room' aspect) is private and while a little close together, it maximizes how many spaces.
They have a shuttle to the gondola right outside the door, which is extremely convenient. Also close by (walking distance) is City Market and a few restaurants.
A cool place with a retro 80s feel, nice warm pools and hot tubs, easy access to restaurants and public transport. Excellent staff!
Great rooms and both Chris the tour guide and Chris the shopkeep were wonderful. The only problem is that you can easily get lost. There are staircases that go nowhere. Otherwise, great events and people!
The staff is excellent very knowledgeable of the local area. Every area we were sent to for hiking was incredibly gorgeous. Every restaurant we were sent to was delicious and top notch. Our room was comfortable and clean. The updates to this lodge were beautiful.
As a single mama of an 8 month old this was the worst experience I could have imagined. No caddy s available for use and staff watched me bring several loads in with no offer of assistance. Bed was so old I could feel the springs and pillows were jail like quality. Temperature in bedroom was 82 degrees and I was told that if the AC was on in the living room area I d just have to wait for it to cool down. Toddler found several small pieces of debris on the floor including a small screw!
Great location and price is decent. Staff is friendly.
We stayed in the redecorated rooms. Bed was very large and comfortable, as was the pull out sleeper. We had a view of the mountains from the livingroom. Kitchenette was sufficient and skillet was very helpful; crock pot (available on request) was useful and delivered timely. The fireplace didn't appear finished; an insert was near it that appeared ready to be installed. The Lodge offered many amenities and activities while we were there. There was a nice library space with puzzles (they need more puzzles) and this would have been 5 stars if the staff were consistently 'friendly' (it was 50/50 mix) some were downright sour). I will say all the guests we met were great. We spent a lot of time in the outdoor pool and hot tub (end of September) so we met people from a wide variety of places. The Lodge apparently has units that allow pets as well. Restaurant options are hit-and-miss. There is a Kitchen Cuisine across the street we wish we had visited sooner as it is a catering space that has individual fresh and frozen food for mix and match meal options and you can taste before you purchase; the food is exceptional. There are plenty of beautiful places to eat within walking distance, including a grocery store. The Walmart is a short drive if you forget something. Would visit again and highly recommend this place.
Very clean, multiple indoor hot tubs, good location
Solid place for snowboard rentals. Discounted prices compared to the stores in the Beaver Creek Village. I booked a demo snowboard. They had a quality Never Summer with Burton bindings and Burton boots waiting for me. I will definitely be back.
The hot tub was amazing, and the suite was fully loaded, spacious.
Nice place for the price. Not so luxurious that you don't want to leave, but nice enough to come home to after a long day out hiking. Hot tub hours could go longer especially because one is basically in the lobby. Overall I have enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others looking for a nice place to sleep and relax without getting trapped inside the lodge.
Loved my stay very nice place. Very accommodating
The rooms are pretty old. Good if you are looking for a cheap place near Vail.
After owning our unit for over 35 years, we can only say "it keeps getting better" We have enjoyed the helpfulness of ALL the help and love the location to food, fun, shopping, scenery, etc. It sarted with just us, then kids, now grandkids! Love it every year!!!
Kinda old. Odd dog food smell when I walk in the room. Hot tub is a bit dirty, and not super hot. Perfect distance away from everything though. Great area for skiers
