Really amazing hotel. Staff are very helpful friendly. All the food was superb. Pool room a little dangerous with it's slippery large steps. Staff were very good about letting us have extra towels to put on the floors and offering ice packs after my husband fall. But I think some more permanent should be thought about.

Loved the hotel. Amazing big rooms with huge bathroom. Delicious breakfast with many options. The hotel area is very green, with so many trees and amazing views from 3 different pools. You feel like in the jungle :) really cool place.

Very nice resort located just a few kilometers from the Phuket Airport. The location is very convenient but the grounds and gardens bring put the beauty of Thailand's tropical beauty.
The rooms are all spacious, even the most basic one-bedroom suites and the "Tin" design is carried throughout (inspired by Phuket's past as a tin mining town).
The breakfast is very nice, the Tine Mine restaurant is only okay for dinner (we had pizza and the sauteed vegetables) but it was basically reheated.
The spa treatments were very nice (we had the couples package with a body scrub, wrap and invigorating massage). Spa was a bit overpriced but the service was good.
Love the location and convenience of everything, that is in and of itself very good. Design is very cool.

Fabulous and stunning resort just a couple of miles from the airport. The place is gorgeous and the service is top notch. Black Ginger is a "must" for dinner. Absolutely our favorite meal ever. The ambience is amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and wished we could stay longer. The fitness center is great. Three pools and plenty of activities to keep you busy. You really have to walk around to find all of them. Great stay!!

Wow! The Slate has been our best hotel experience so far. The welcome was very friendly, we were directly impressed by the industrial design. The D-Buk suite was very large and stylishly decorated - finally an air conditioner that does not bring you to the verge of a cold. The whole area was well maintained and chic, although a bit confusing. At the Adults Only Pools we were hardly, here was the mood a bit stuffy and undecided. By contrast, everything was fine at the large family pool, the few children have hardly bothered. Every now and then there was free lemon water, towels are included! We especially liked the breakfast. There was a huge selection of high quality fruit, pastries, curries, salads, drinks .. with a laid-back vibe and courteous staff. All around is the high-quality dinner selection so moderate, but the Japanese rivet in the hotel was very good! Even better we found Black Ginger where you by the menu offers relatively cheap (in the hotel, not in the country) very great and eventful food. We can totally recommend the hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights at The Slate and booked via Designhotels as this is where we found the best conditions.
We had the most fantastic stay at this beautiful resort. Our room had a beautiful large balcony with a super comfortable daybed and a really cool outdoor bathtub. We enjoyed our early morning coffee (free coffee & tea facilities in the room) on the daybed, overlooking the beautiful palm trees and gardens.
A super plus point was the walk in closet as well which was very spacious.
Every single employee made us feel so welcome, from the arrival where our daughter and I were given a beautiful flower, to the children amenities in the room, to the outstanding service at the pool, in the restaurants and from housekeeping.

My husband went to a cooking class which he enjoyed a lot and I went to the kids club with our little daughter who loved all the activities. If your child is above 4, you can even drop her off there and she can enjoy activities like colouring, an excursion to find crabs at the beach and other craft activities and you pick her up later.
There are 2 adult pools which are perfect to enjoy some down time. Nevertheless, we had the best time in the family pool. There are plenty of day beds around the pool and also pool noodles and toys for the little ones.
The active person should also hit the gym with the newest equipment or attend one of the scheduled activities like yoga, Pilates, Thai boxing, etc.
We usually like to travel to different places and try out different hotels, nevertheless The Slate made us plan our next trip to Thailand already and we will make sure to stay here again!!

I booked a two week stay for my honeymoon with my wife at The Slate. This resort met all our expectations and is great place for relaxing! The scenery and decor throughout the resort is very rustic and beautiful. The resort grounds are well maintained by gardeners working every day. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They made our stay very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place for any one that is looking to relax. If you are looking for a place to party then this would be the wrong place for you.

The food at the hotel restaurants are also very tasty but they are not cheap. It's good to try them out but if you're going to be eating there everyday, the cost can add up pretty quick. There are some great restaurants within walking distance right outside the resort that are well priced.

Built in industrial style plant. Something different for friends of visual concrete in rough Brettschalung. Everything was very nice and SUPER. All rooms are huge.
But who came up with the idea to cover the private pools with a huge pitched roof .... there is never sun on the deck area and the pool is unusable cold. Breakfast is good. The restaurant and billiards bar top.
In two minutes you are on the beach so mediocre.

Our second stay. Simply the best hotel we have been to. 5-10mins from the airport.

Amazing atmosphere and spectacular grounds. Romantic stay or with family. Great services and amenities. Several pools, bars, restuarants, gym, spa, transfers, activities, trips out. Customer service is simply the best. Everyone speaks English and passers by greet you with "sawadeekap" and a genuine smile. It's all the little details this place does well that makes it a 5 star hotel.

A few local shops and restaurants too. If you want a wonderful quiet time this is for you. If you want to party all night then a place in patong is what you would look for.

A hotel with industrial and rustic style design doesn t mean that it should come with very rustic services / lack of attention to details or broken amenities in the room. It s probably ok if you are just looking for a stop close to the airport but this place is no way near a five-star hotel. so many incidents during our two-day staying here that made us to frown.

If the hotel would like to put the five-star price tags everywhere, then keep your standards up to that level by spending some capital expenditure on staff training and facility maintenance, rather than cutting corners all the time or paying for fake reviews on the internet?

Lovely, boutique, industrial-chic hotel in Nai Yan...

Lovely, boutique, industrial-chic hotel in Nai Yang area of Phuket. Very near the airport without any of the sound that comes with flying planes. Very large ground area. Beautiful walks. No direct beach access. If it s a 3 minute walk away. Rooms are big and spacious.

Lots of bugs - especially during wet season.

Pools are amazing. Adult only pools available for that extra privacy.

Food is amazing. Indian food and Chef are absolutely delightful.

So far so bad.

So far so bad.
To start you need to pay 400bat for 3km from the airport.
-They don t accept American Express.
-Room is badly isolated, you can hear people chatting in the corridor and music from then bar.
-Most of delivery app doesn t work in this area.
-The TV signal is weak and image very poor.
-WiFi doesn t require password and very unsecured.

I enjoyed Christmas Day brunch at The Slate. Great quality seafood buffet with free flow alcohol for 4 hours throughout the afternoon and all in a lovely setting. I would recommend this for anyone staying in Phuket at Christmas and I ll probably stay at the hotel next time.

Such a lovely hotel! I first stayed here a number of years ago, when it had a different name, it was gorgeous and its gorgeous now. The breakfast is wonderful and the rooms are quirky but in a good way. Staff are very friendly and helpful, I'll give a special thank you to Valerie who brightened my day with her smile.

Beautiful hotel the staff was friendly but not very competent. We arrived late and had to wait a long time to get our room without reason. Unfortunately there was a bad smell inside so we ask to change it and also the third bed for our son was missing. After another half hour of waiting and an other suggested room which was smaller than that we had booked whiteout space to put the third bed inside they gave us a really nice and spacious one. The sushi restaurant served are very good sushi but also there we had to wait a long time and it was less than a half full.... But they served two times the appetizer of the chef.

So many nice things to say about the slate!

So many nice things to say about the slate!
First of all, the people working here are amazing! Always very friendly and helpful.
Our kid is excited to go to the kids club everyday because the activities planned are great (Muay Thai, cooking classes etc).
The rooms, restaurants and garden/pools are mind blowing. So many details to make the place like no other.
We will come back again for sure :)

Post-industrial style resort. Perfect for families even if it's not exactly the small eco-friendly hotel. Three swimming pools, large spaces good international restaurant, decent Japanese restaurant. A few meters from the beach. Great service.

All attention to detail. Good breakfast, 3 swimming pools (2 for adults only), beautiful vegetation and adjacent to the beach. In the hotel context there are bars and restaurants of all kinds. TOP

This place is spectacular. Really expansive grounds, attention to details when it comes to customer service all around the property. You get your money's worth if you stay there a long time. Imo, taxis were expensive to go to phuket town and so forth so, we mostly stayed in the area and enjoyed the beach and the activities at the hotel. It was a nice place to end our vacay.

A great place to be away from the city buzz and you can get a lot of tune to yourself. The staff is great and very helping.

The interiors and room are just fabulous at a reasonable price. And hospitality is like 7 star and very friendly staff.

Had a blast there. Must stay.

This multi award winning boutique resort has previously had its design described as "Industrial Chic" which is pretty much spot on. Built into the rainforest , snaking up from Nai Yang beach, a mix of treetop apartments and private pool villas with butler , are complimented with 3 fantastic pools and a selection of amazing restaurants. Total "foodie paradise" (although wasted on me) , the super friendly staff are attentive but discrete with it. You know it's quality when literally dozens of guests return year on year, this being our 12th Christmas here. Super chilled, this laid back vibe allows you to recharge after a tough year, the place being more relaxed than a rug on Vallium!

Good food and service however it is overpriced for why it is, needs maintenance such as showers spraying everywhere, dinners close at 10:30 and New Year s Eve dinner only ends at 11:00 and no fruit or deserts available after that they just turn the lights off.
Expect to get woken up early in the morning by the flight attendants who mist have a contract with the hotel as they are everywhere.
Overall a decent experience but does not deserve its immense price tag.

Become one with nature in this amazing hotel. Incredible experience on everything here. The checkin staff is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. Rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is just perfect one of the best I ate in all of Phuket. What more can I say than that I would come back definitely.

Actually we went to this place for the Coqoon (massage and spa). We tried one of their restaurants and everything was good in a nicely decorated place. Service is pretty good for Thailand. The massage at Coqoon will be the best for a long time. Very nice and such wonderful ambiance.

Why Indigo Pearl turned into Slate - nobody's business but the owner. Long live Na-Ranong! One of the trully design hotels on the island opened in 2005. The interiors are posh and elaborate . Hotel is still among top lists of Worlds Hip hotels. Three large swimming pools, 2 have bar outlets with chairs submerged in pool waters.

It's a modern design hotel. Takes some time to get used to the room. Good facilities in the hotel property. Not on the beach, though beach is just on the other side of a small road. Biggest pro is that it's just 5 mins from the airport

I loved the slate resort! The area was breath taking surrounding by beauty...the beach, the 3 pools, the grounds, the rooms...the staff was so nice and took care of our every need with a smile..the Black Ginger was a 6 star dining experience! I plan on returning next year!!

Good location close to airport and beach-side park, local bars and business along the beach. View of the sunsets was very nice but probably not the best. Huge set of included activities including bike 1 hour bike, paddleboards, archery, badminton, croquet, and soooo much more. Beautiful restaurants and bars and lobby and rooms - cool steampunk style too. Staff was friendly and helpful though they made us provide proof we were married recently in order to get their predefined set of honeymoon perks (which were great but it felt a little wierd).
