Nice garden patio, lobster bisque was tasty, but I did not taste any lobster pieces.
Mac (penne) and cheese was very oily, it seems like the sauce had only been poured on it halfway.
Would come back for the nice atmosphere and waitress. They seemed to have a pretty big selection of local wines, as well.

Wonderful. Good quality ingredients, beautifully cooked, lovely flavours. The service was also great- warm and welcoming. Came for just a main course, ended up eating three. All three courses- steamed clams; rack of lamb, fillet mignon; ganache cake, cheese board - were delicious.

I told them I don't eat potatoes and asked for broccoli instead. The unfriendly waitress told me "that's not a fair trade." So I asked if they could do it if I paid extra, but she didn't even give me that option on her own. I felt haggled. Then, when I got my plate, they forgot the broccoli altogether, along with the avocado that was supposed to come with the meal. By the time these items finally arrived, my lukewarm eggs had turned cold. They also promised me a wifi code - said they'll get it for me - but never gave it to me. The whole meal was a hassle. Then I went to the cheese shop and saw a man drinking wine. I thought it was a customer, but then he got up and went behind the counter. It's just a turn off to see people drinking on the job. The cheese had flies swarming around and the samples were out in the open and tasted rotten/warm. Not a fan and won't be coming back.

An upscale ambience in a casual home setting, with pleasant music and an attractive setting. The service was accommodating and timely. We ordered the soup of the day, Thai noodles with shrimp, and the Greek salad. The food was was esthetically presented and abundant, and of course, a delight to consume.

I venture to Cambria on my birthday and we have made it a habit to visit Indigo Moon. It is AMAZING and something I look forward to every year. I think Indigo Moon's aesthetic is perfect and I am always impressed with the food. I can't wait to go back!

I have had good meals both times I have eaten here. The food is prepared with know how and care. This last time I had a ribeye steak that was more medium than medium rare as ordered, but nevertheless tasty with whiskey butter. The blueberry cake, made with a soft blend of corn flour and wheat flour, was served with blueberry sauce which, because it was thankfully not too sweet, allowed the natural sweetness of the blueberries and the corn flour to create a lovely balance with a delicately cheesy, velvety, creamy, frommage blanc icing. Quite satisfying.

So far its been good. Have heard a lot about the fish tacos but I haven't tried them yet. The food was excellent. The waitress was kind of busy but she was ok. The other staff was very attentive. Outdoor sitting on a nice day was perfect.

You know when you have a bad vibe? We really wanted to like this place, some items in the menu looked really alluring, but we might have had quite a few reasons to go somewhere else: when I called to book, the hostess was kind of unpleasant. The kind that makes you put down the phone and wonder "Do I really want to go there?". Then, when being seated, the same manager, Dina, was very uncourteous with the guests before us, an elderly couple with a dog: either you are dog friendly, or you're not. You can't ask dog owners to enter from the back door! BIG BOOOO!

The food is on the low side of "okay".
-Mac & cheese lacked salt in the pasta.
-Pear and gorgonzola salad had virtually no gorgonzola, little pear, and was smothered in a tarragon and shallot dressing that made no sense.
-The artisan cheese platter was a bitter joke for $13.
-The special, a grilled teriyaki "organic" salmon cost $28 for 1x4 of salmon: that is not the problem, rather the fact that it was accompanied by rice with a raspberry seasoning that had no business being there at all.
The owners call themselves "food enthusiasts": enthusiasm is a praiseworthy quality, but without knowledge and savoir-faire it is an empty shell.

I wonder about the hygiene of the place because my first glass of water had a very very very funny taste: my wishful explanation is that they used a dirty knife to cut the lemon slice, because it had a foul garlicky/sulfury taste I love garlic, but not in my water.

Last but not least, we ordered a fair amount of food: 2 appetizers, 1 salad, bottle of wine, bread (which is of course not complimentary) and we split the $28 dollars salmon: so we got a $3 charge because we split the entree. We complained. The waitress said it was on the menu, that she agrees it's preposterous but that's the manager's rule and so it was not waived.

All in all, the food was barely okay, but the vibe of the place is sick. You see that the staff is not happy, which results in patrons not being happy, which in turns creates a nasty electric atmosphere in the dining hall.

Beautiful outside garden patio - a must during the pandemic! Fabulous variety on the menu - oodles of choices! Everything was cooked to perfection! The sauces were splendid! Everything was exquisitely flavorful - even the garlic green string beans! What a random find! Glad Robbin's was too full. Definitely will be coming back to Indigo Moon - as 1st choice!

Indigo Moon is a lovely restaurant in Cambria CA. The food is exceptional and the menu has a wonderful variety...with daily specials. Tonight we enjoyed swordfish and chimichurri skirt steak. Plan to return on Friday for New Zealand rack of lamb and Calamari Piccata. Cozy interior and lovely covered garden seating. Bon Appetit!

Back again! Indigo Moon is now our favorite restaurant. Hubby had trout with a verde salsa and I had sole with white wine lemon sauce. The wild rice mixed with risotto is exceptional. Had Pot de creme orange chocolate with plenty of "home made" whip cream...Aaaamazing! Also love the staff!. See pictures...

This is a place that combines a pleasant atmosphere, smiling staff and not tasty food. The cook added a piece of grilled roach to Caesar s salad (I m not joking) and forgot to put eggs and some meat, apparently a piece of roach replaced it. Penne is a Soviet-style pasta with sausages from which it is not clear why in a sauce with pine nuts and hazelnuts - fire!
Yes, the wine is not bad and the service deserves an extra point, total 2/5

Great restaurant! If you are driving the California pacific coast highway, stop here. The seafood (particularly the salmon) is fantastic. Good selection of food options. Easy parking.

Good menu, helpful friendly staff, reasonable price. Slightly away from main shopping area. For European readers remember listed prices are not definitive because the effect of local tax is not shown. Another plus for this place is that it does not make any suggestions for the gratuity, if any.

We were traveling with our dog, so we were happy that they could accommodate us on the patio. It was cool, but they had heaters so it wasn't bad. We enjoyed the lobster bisque, pear/gorgonzola salad, N.Y. steak (it was huge! ) and the flat iron steak. All were excellent! Our server (sorry, I want to say Joanna?) was attentive without being intrusive and won us over immediately when she offered a bowl of water to our dog.

We were party of 6,so we had a chance to try almost all the menu. Rack of Lamb was served with some red and sweet souce, which contradicted with the test of meat. Duck confit was ok,bit of dry. Risotto with mushrooms was also ok,but nothing close to wow. My friend really liked Shank. What everyone liked was sweet potato fries, which kind of weird ,as in restaurant there should be some other choices to love.

Excellent dining experience with a terrific wine list. We have been coming to this restaurant for the last 6 years. Alongside is their cheese shop for a lunch break and glass of wine.

This restaurant was a great surprise. Looks tiny on the outside but they have plenty of space in the back. The back room is part indoor outdoor very cozy and i fell in love! Food was so delicious. I had the fresh farmers cheese tortellini which was the best I've had. Great wine selection and craft beer selection. If you're in the area you must stop by.

I was seated immediately in a cozy room. I had a glass of Hearst Cabernet with a tasty, elegant crostini topped with brie, and a fig/kalamata olive tampanade, with roasted pine nuts. The rich flavors were truly complimented by the red wine. I chose the duck breast with wild rice and fresh, locally sourced broccoli with a berry sauce that was to die for. The duck was seared perfectly, moist and full of rich flavor. The service was attentive, and not intrusive. I will be back for more, and soon. The peices were right and staff make you feel at home, even when you are dining solo. Try this joint. Seriously.

We went once for dinner and found very good locally sourced food, great local wines, and a knowledgeable, accessible and friendly owner. We had a wonderful meal and in very comfortable place. The wait staff were quick, friendly and attentive. Did I have the best food I ever ate? No, but everything on the table was tasty and I would be happy to bring friends and family here, and it wouldn't surprise me if one day this place didn't give me a "best ever" moment. Thank you for the meal...

Indigo Moon was a spectacular find on our brief stay in Cambria. Old vintage house, converted to restaurant, friendly server, etc., etc. Now about the meal: pecan crusted halibut was among the best cuts of halibut I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection. And that's not just hyberbole--I mean it. It was exceedingly moist, but perfectly flakey. The chef obviously knows what he's doing. For a run of the mill cook to achieve this quality would be akin to winning the lottery. The sauce was delicate, subtlety buttery, and very complementary to the fish. Everything else was spot on, but the halibut is what knocked my socks off. Brandy, our server, was both friendly and gracious. She certainly added to our dining experience. Bottom line, next time we're in Cambria, we'll visit Indigo Moon, and would go out of our way to visit if we were in the area.

From the minute we walked in the door the staff and ambience was just perfect. The outdoor dining and patio areas are delightful. We had the Angus burger with coleslaw, and the cheese tortellini with spinach and mushrooms, both very good!

This is a great place for lunch with the girls or a romantic dinner. The food is great and the service was fast and friendly. Prices are moderate to expensive and you can find a great array of wonderful food. They also have an artisan cheese shop next door. You will not be disappointed.
