This company is fraudulent. After receiving a collection letter from them, I called. Their representative repeatedly told me how legitimate the amount owed was. Over and over again he lied to me.
I called the creditor, CVS Caremark, and after a thorough internal investigation they showed I owed NOTHING.
CMC employs fraudulent liars to carry out their fraudulent schemes!

Can i get it in writing? I attempted to pay a debt with this company but it refuses to furnish any documentation. It says it sent out a letter over 1 year ago. The collections business must not be a good racket. Is paper and ink really so expensive? I spoke with a few different advocates trying to understand why they can't send me a paper bill and they all stuck to the script. A "supervisor" rudely argue that i refused to pay the debt. In actuality they're refusing to take my money by not sending a simple piece of paper with some numbers on it. If collections is your function, you should be willing to accommodate someone that is attempting to close an account. I don't know if it's illegal or just unprofessional but it's a poor practice when someone is trying to clear the debt.
I do not owe them and have been paying the actual company I have the bill with directly. The company told me that with me paying directly, this collection company will not call anymore. But they have been. I'm going to end up not being nice to someone and it sucks for whomever is on the other end. I'm sick of it. I will pull every Act out of the book that I need to and let you know on your recorded line AND MINE to show you,, that you are wrong. Stop calling me. I dont owe you. Collection agencies dont have to be paid. We do not have an a contract with YOU. And that's fact.
Worst bunch of scoundrels this side of the Ohio River. What can you expect from a low-paying, high-stress job though? These people obviously hate their life and love ruining the lives of others.
This place continuously calls me after I ve told them they have the wrong person. They told me I d have to file a police report in order for the calls to stop. Ummm excuse me???
this place is awful i called in to pay my collection fee and has questions concerning the dates on which these bills were coming from. the rep who answered the phone told me i was either going to pay these bills or suffer having them on my credit report their reps are rude and disrespectful was hung up on 3 times by these people asked to speak to a manager and they kept me on hold for 25 mins then disconnected the phone call. when i tried to call back they would not answer the phone. these people are awful and i will NEVER give them my money at all.
I was surprised to get a call from them regarding a pharmaceutical bill from three years ago! Turns out that they were trying to get it in under the state deadline for billing which would have expired in a month. The operator was courteous and provided me with more information than the pharmacist did. After going back and speaking to the pharmacist it turned out that the pharmaceutical company was the culprit since they were at fault due to their new computer updates from 3 years ago creating a new account for me and not transferring the old bill to the new account. Ridiculous, but not the fault of the creditor.
Not too bad...... I have dealt with a lot of Collection Agency's and these guys are not the best, However they are far from the worst.
[Good] They don't call a million times or at crazy hours. It seems that they are just a average company. When is comes to payments, they work with you as much as they can.
[Bad] One thing for sure, they take the fees off the top of every penny you give them. For instance I make two $35.00 payments each month with them, For every $70 monthly payment, Less than $50 goes to the principal balance. Over $10 for every $35 I pay, That Adds Up...
Very unprofessional, they completely lied about when payments were mailed. Payed my ticket on the 28th it's the 4th and municipal court still hasn't received payment.
LAZY CROOKS! They have a sweetheart deal with Allegheny County to collect a 25% fee on fines. If you don't pay their usurious fee then you don't get your license back. They have you by the balls and they know it! Yes, I was in the wrong by blowing off 6 months of fine payments for a DUI. Still, I'd much rather see Allegheny County making an extra $500 for my delinquent payments than these BOTTOM FEEDERS at CMC! Thankfully I never received a single call or even 1 letter from CMC. They had my current address and phone number but never wasted 49 cents for postage or even a single call to try to collect my debt for the county. This is not an isolated occurrence. I know other people that had fines with Allegheny County, not even affecting their drivers license. They tried to pay at the county building but were told "you have to contact CMC, we have a contract with them and can't accept your payment". They had no idea CMC was collecting on their fines because they were never notified. Why is Credit Management Company charging and making borderline ILLEGAL fee's? Certainly, nobody wants harassed by a collection agency but this USELESS company and their employees are just sitting back, doing nothing and filling their coffers. Either CMC is paying someone off in the courts to get this "contract" (most likely) or they're utterly incompetent. Whichever it is, this company needs to be investigated and stopped!
Brandon is courteous of the situation and knows his job. As a company they are trying to tie loose ends and it s his job so very understandable why they would call and aggrevate people. I know they take lower amounts than the balance because I ve done it once before but he said they didn t which means he is devoted to the company policy of debt collecting. It s our faults we have the debt so be nice to the guy. I ll be making another pmt soon.
Worst customer relations! Made a payment and did not have access to a printer to print a receipt. I called to ask for a receipt which they don't provide. What?!? How can you not provide receipt for a payment that you took??? I was rudely interrupted, she spoke over me, yelled at me and hung up on by a Roxanne. When I called back and asked (again) to speak to a manager, they finally directed me to a voicemail of a manager to which I asked for a return call only to not receive one from a manager named Vanessa. So unprofessional on all accounts. No business should ever use these people for collections- they're horrible!
If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are the most unprofessional, ignorant people I have ever dealt with. They don't know the HIPPA laws; they don't know how to do their job and their management team is as bad as they are. I hope all health care professional boycott this awful company..
If I could give this place less than one star it would be too high. Things with this company started this past summer when my son called to ask if we knew a certain doctor and we did. He had something on his credit report that he owed money to. It was his dad. So call this company about it and they informed me that my son would have to clear his credit report it was not their fault. I than took me and the doctors nurse 6 months to get it taken off my sons credit report. This company did not take the time to confirm the identity of the one that they reported to they just found name and correct address and nothing else. The night now continues with another bill for me that was paid at the same time as the above mentioned on. The people there don't want to hear anything I have to say and I have been hung up on. Have spoken for the third time today with the hospital that had the charges and they have told this collection company on 2 separate occasions to stop calling me that the account is paid in full. Guess these people don't listen to the people that pay their bills either. I am more concerned about the people that just pay the bill without questioning the validity of it. They have also been told that if I get one more call I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office and filling an harassment suit.
This place has been harassing me with phone calls at least 12 to 15 times a day. Please take my phone number off of your list. I have blocked your phone number and will turn you in for harrassment
these people do not care a rat's ass to resolve any issues regardless that documentation had been provided to satisfy their wolves. Unwilling to remove any information on credit reporting agencies. They just want money even if it is not owed any longer. The star(ought to be a minus!) given was selected as the only way this comment could possibly be posted
You guys need to stop Harassing me, I paid all my stuff already. I swear your company of all people should know better than to keep harassing me and other people! I paid up all my debt and you guys keep harassing me and my Family. You guys are unprofessional and I do not want to deal with you guys ever again. I m suspecting people get scammed constantly in your company. Just stop it, This is going nowhere. It is illegal to harass people like this, I ve already made the payment just Go away!
You will never deal with a more frustrating or appalling company. Rude, harassing, and when you work with them dutifully and Faithfully they refuse as a company to do anything to assist.
Paid off my hospital bills (almost $1200) and they took it out TWICE. They kept saying it's under review if I could get it back meanwhile I'm overdrawn and late on house and car payments and out of groceries for my family. This company is a fraud and should be arrested for stealing my money! It's been almost a week and they still won't help me, saying they will call me back. This company is a FRAUD!
Company is a fraud. I established a payment plan with my original debt holder and these people kept calling insisting they still owned the debt. Deceptive practices, flat out lie to customers, and don't even consider paying with a card or they make you wait over a week for it to post after taking your money on the spot. Contact your original debt holder and settle the debt directly.
UPMC has them collect on sign on bonus of clinical lab worker who is essential health care employee. They do not know the story or circumstances of the person but are harassing for sums of money that are in dispute. Bad people and bad company.
Kept calling my number repeatedly for like a month on and off. Worse when they leave a message on the voicemail they're recording doesn't even work. Finally I got sick of it and called them back. I was placed on hold and after a few minutes this woman named mick Nicki answered. I know how to make them go away. They may have your correct name for a bill but act like you're somebody else and tell them to put you on the Do Not Call List and they will remove your name. Not the friendliest representative in the world but said Thank you and hung up after she said she would remove my number. Perfect!
I had two debt collectors under one debt, I called credit management company and was sent to someone s personal mailbox by the name of Linda . This appears VERY fraudulent and I have disputed the debt with credit management company. Beware!
Called by this company. Returned phone call. Your company did not associate my name with my phone number. Should do this when leaving me a message. For some reason, your company seems to think it is ok to just call private numbers and not checking to associate number with a name and trying to defend this to the person who has the actual phone number. Not good business practice.
If these crooks are calling you, heres a trick to make them stop. Call back when they say they are trying to collect a debt and that the call is being recorded tell them : "This is also a business line, therefore we are also recording this call...Why are you calling me?" They will respond with :" We are sorry we were calling you by mistake and hang up"
They claim I owe a court fine that was paid to the court 2/13/17. I have all the paperwork to prove it including the receipt, bank transaction information and the docket online reflects that it was paid in full. They still reported it to collections March 11 2020 even though it was paid over 3 years ago. I filed a dispute with Experian and I'll be talking with an attorney about a lawsuit. Looks like I'm not the only one that these "people" have falsely accused and have been rude to on the phone.
Nobody likes a collections company calling or having to call one and discuss a past due debt. Honestly, this company was extremely understanding and provided multiple options to clear up my issue. I spoke Donyel, he was extremely polite, efficient and provided me excellent customer service. Bottom line, I realized these guys are just trying to do their job like the rest of us. I know from past experience, of how I treated collection calls, that it can't be easy getting hung up on or yelled at a lot. So cheers to Donyel for making a difference in the collections world. One past due amount at a time~!!
I was told that I received ten statements from them stating I had an account that went into collections, which was not the case. Whenever I found out I had a collection account on my credit report by looking at my score on credit karma I found out who it was for and paid them off. I never once received a statement from the original doctors office either saying I had an outstanding balance. When I called to get everything straightened out I was hung up on by someone with a foreign accent who you could not understand, which in turn made me even more fustrated then I already was. Whenever I called back a couple days later I requested to speak to a manager or a supervisor who was extremely rude with me and treated me like I was stupid because he had the title of a "supervisor". I work on credit reports daily. I am not "ignorant" to how the credit reporting system works. If you have an account with this place I suggest you prepare yourself for the worst. They are the most ignorant people to deal with. I am switching doctors because of them.
False documentation. These people are crooks. I had a collection account successfully removed from one credit reporting agency then the next month had a second COMPLETELY FRAUDULENT collection for the same exact amount added to a different report. I hadn't incurred any medical debt, OR had any contact with these people in years and somehow I have 2 accounts added in the past 6 months? Liars and thieves.
