Can i get it in writing?
I attempted to pay a debt with this company but it refuses to furnish any documentation. It says it sent out a letter over 1 year ago. The collections business must not be a good racket. Is paper and ink really so expensive? I spoke with a few different advocates trying to understand why they can't send me a paper bill and they all stuck to the script. A "supervisor" rudely argue that i refused to pay the debt. In actuality they're refusing to take my money by not sending a simple piece of paper with some numbers on it. If collections is your function, you should be willing to accommodate someone that is attempting to close an account. I don't know if it's illegal or just unprofessional but it's a poor practice when someone is trying to clear the debt.
