First of all the view is always awesome. The food on the other hand was mediocre. I had nachos with chicken Fijitas. Bland and hardly any chicken orcheese mostly chips. The taco soup was just ok. My friend has a burger with Sweet Potato fries. Fries were good ,burger ok. Its been awhile since i have eaten there. Went for My birthday and was disappointed in the food.

A whole group of family and friends drove to The Oasis on Lake Travis for a baby shower. The luncheon was already chosen, so menus weren't necessary. The food was good and plentiful..leftovers went home with my niece. The view was fantastic, overlooking Lake Travis from high above.
The only drawbacks to this venue was its' extreme popularity...there wasn't enough seating for our group, and the wait staff was very stressed out. Refills on drinks were slow to non-existent...only cocktails to be charged were brought out, no tea.
A good time was had by all, nevertheless, and I recommend it to friends and family.
This is 2nd times we come here. Food is so so, no feature. Quality does not reflect the price.
Drink are mostly alcohol drink.
Will not come back again.

A gorgeous view of lake Travis definitely a must see when your visiting the area.
Best family and fun time on the weekends. Food is ok but the view is great. I would suggest to try some beer at local breweries.

Its a very beautiful restaurant with a beyond amazing view but the reason i gave it a 4 star was because of the customer service they had.the waitress was very impolite to the point where i thought she had a personal problem with us.other than the customer service,the view and the restaurant itself were outstanding.

The place has long wait times. The staff is courteous. However the server took 45 minutes to bring food. Any requests were either not handled well or not at all.

Food, band were great. Manuel was a awesome waiter. Shuttle service from car was great service.The only real negative review would be the parking lot is real dark when going to cars, maybe add some parking lights, we saw a young lady walking to her car alone, which is quite unsafe.
The AWESOME factor! Go here for the views, the art, the shop and even the food. Now I have had trouble finding good food until I finally ordered the fajitas.

-Bring a cute lock or buy one from the gift shop.... Like San Francisco or France... You have the ability to lock a section of the railing forever.
-This place is huge but to get a great view... Get there early - plus the weather will be cooler then as well.
-Order Fajitas for two... This is enough food for 2 adults and 2 kids easily.
-Their drinks are strong and tasty if possible do that as well.
-Lastly, wonder around and take in all of the beautiful art.

If you are familiar with the original Oasis this new monstrosity will come as a shock. Still has great lake and sunset views. Average food, good service and lots of crowds.
So food is not good.. you are 100% coming for the view, also the chair I was seated in had bird poop all over it.. but the view and the bloody mary were good!

This place is best for the views. The food and drinks and less than mediocre. In fact, the bar below the brewery has the best drinks and food in the area.
Terrible service!!! Cannot accommodate large groups. We were told waiting time is 45 min, they called us after 1.5 hr and it was already after sunset and pointless. While all this time they had few tables for 7 and 8 (we were 10) we asked to seated in one of those since we were with little children, didn't let us because of fire code. Okay, cant argue with that. They had bunch of tables coming up for 7 people and next to it 4. We couldn't get those because we had to go to the beggining of the waiting line.
As a recommendation for the restaurant, next time you have large groups, just say it is hard for the restaurant to accommodate large groups and maybe it's better to get 2 5 people tables next to each other.
Were not friendly, were not trying to help. Very ignorant and aloof manager. This is not how you do business!!!

The view was amazing. The menu lunch selection is very limited. A bit pricey. Food was ok. Waiter was too talkative to table next to us while we waited for drinks. When food arrived waiter felt he had to explain what the a small dish of after meal dessert was and not to put on my meal which kind of insulted me as if i didnt know. But loved the atmosphere.
The Oasis is perfect if you're looking for a great date night spot. The best time to go is at sunset. Grab a seat on the deck and watch as the sunsets over the water. #12DaysofChristmasATX
The view of Lake Travis is absolutely stunning and what makes me like this place. The drinks were really good and my food was good. I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and it was a nice portion. My friends were not too impressed with their food, primarily how little they got for the price. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Place gets very crowded and we waited about 45 minutes before being seated but there's plenty of sites to see around the restaurant while waiting.
Counting everything it was a totally wonderful experience. Would come back.

This place had amazing food, a perfect view and wonderful service! I couldn't believe their prices were so reasonable. My burger was about $14 and my drink $7-8. That is the same price as an average chain restaurant like Applebee's or Outback. They had fans and mister everywhere to keep people cool. I was watching our waitress, as soon as a table was empty she would start adjusting the umbrella so that the table that sat down next would be in shade.
*It was still very hot outside, but in Texas in July, that is expected.
My first visit was on 10 Oct and it was wonderful! Zack was our server and he really took care of us, too!
Beautiful views, expensive food and very slow service. I still recommend the experience. Go on a beautiful day and enjoy the great drinks and chips with queso. Just don't go in a hurry or with impatient people.

The atmosphere is spectacular, the outdoor tables on a beautiful day make the food taste even more spectacular it feels like. I had the fried shrimp and that was the best fried shrimp I've ever had and I've had alot . Everyone else in my group really loved their food as well so I'm sure the rest of the menu is quite delicious as well. It has a really beautiful view over the water and the service can be slow due to the amount of people that can be there at once. You can buy out entire floors for private events apparently because that was the case when I visited and that to me is very cool. It had a very nice atmosphere that made me feel blessed just to be there. Theres music playing and it's all really nice. Amazing place, truly an heavenly oasis...

Exquisite place to spend a weekend night. Spanish music, drinks, dance and food, everything you can ask for on a Friday night. Loved the atmosphere along with the food.
The view is simply beyond beautiful! This is a huge restaurant that hasvery eclectic decore. Its a tourist attraction, very crowded but we were seated quickly and we had a great waiter. The food has improved dramatically since I've been there and was actually superb. Oasis is rather pricey but a must see place if you're visiting Austin. I highly recommend.

let s be honest, you don t come here for the food, it s the view. while the hosting and waiting staff are professional, the food leaves you wanting. I suggest staring at the lake with every bite you take and maybe you can find the justification for mediocre, overpriced food.
With the great live action music and buetifull sunsets on lake Travis, this was one of the nicest places to eat in Austin. However the biggest downside is it is a fairly long drive from downtown Austin meaning we had to leave fairly early if we wanted to see the sunset.
The location and atmosphere were amazing. You can't beat sitting on a cliff a couple hundred feet above a lake and watching the sunset. Even bring a little cool, they had heaters running so it was comfortable. My son absolutely loved the lights, fountains, locks, and everything else they had. Food wise the queso and fries were awesome and the service was fast. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

The view at The Oasis are amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful sunset. The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. Many items to choose from. Lots of specialty drinks. Prices were a little high but no more than I would expect for the location. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.
I would be nice if the busboy clean the chair as well since we are worried about the covid-19 my wife told they did but when the people of the neighbor table left they only clean the table and the folks next door use their hands to pull the chair and started eating their chips. I would like to go back after the pandemic is gone but I would like to see this issue taking care off. The chair are expose to the elements and people itself its normal to clean them after they were used.
Get ready to be thoroughly unimpressed and waste an insane amount of time looking for parking in the process. Why is Austin considered hip? Traffic is horrible, Hill country is not that special compared to a lot of other parts of the US, restaurants except for BBQ are remarkably average, it's not that pretty a city....I guess if you like to work and run, it's a great city.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is absolutely beautiful! It is amazing to see the sunset if you are there in the early evening and the food was great. Highly recommend.

OMG WHAT A GREAT PLACE!!! Read some unfavorable reviews about the food and drinks but we were pleasantly surprised that at least tonight they were not at all accurate!!! All our food was EXCELLENT! Drinks were fabulous. We ordered Chicken Diablo, (OMG DELICIOUS) chicken and steak fajitas, steak quesadillas and chips and salsa . Jamie was our fabulous server very attentive and super nice! We will definitely be back!
The View was spectacular the service was horrible they took way too long to bring us our food and forgot multiple times to bring us small things like Ranch, fork, dr pepper, tortillas.sad because the atmosphere was 10 The View was at 10 the service was at 3 the food was a six but we had to eat the salad with no Ranch I had to eat fajita meat with no tortillas by the time they got it there I was already done

This place has so much potential! We loved the view and the friendly waitress, but the food is ultimately disappointing. We were warned about the food before going to Oasis, so just ordered guacamole and drinks - what could go wrong, right? I have to say that was the worst guacamole I ve ever had, the margarita was bellow average and not even a kid would be able to drink the hot chocolate we got. All love for the waitress! She was great!

It s very very beautiful. The view is to die for. Amazing location to see the sunset. The restaurant can accomodate upto 2K people and has many stages which is very great. It s one of the must visit list when visiting Austin. Had the most fun. It is very calm and relaxing. It s 20 minutes drive from Austin but if you re just there for a weekend or so, you can go for it. Reach at around 5 so you can be there when it s time for sunset. That is the time to be there.
We've lived just a few miles from the Oasis for many years and perhaps are a bit spoiled to have it nearby. The facility is amazing since the big rebuild. Seating is available indoors and out on the many decks. The view is the best around, and the food is ok. There are a variety of margaritas that they specialize in and some can be pricey. There is lots of parking now and folks will shuttle you on a cart if you come when the place is busy. There are also other restaurants on the same site now so you can choose between several venues when you arrive.
