What a wonderful night at the Shakespeare Festival...

What a wonderful night at the Shakespeare Festival watching Taming of the Shrew! We had hillside tickets and were sitting up against the fence when Joe (we are guessing the House Manager) came up to us and asked us if we wanted to sit in the box seats at the very front! My father was overjoyed and we will never be able to top that moment! We are so thankful! Joe is now welcome to all family events and my sister and I are written out of the will and supporting the arts have taken our place! Thank you again for making my Dad s Father s Day unforgettable! See you in August for Julius Caesar!

Wonderful!! I had so much fun. I recommend bringing a low seated chair and/or a blanket if you're sitting in the back row. Also make sure to go like 2 hours early to reserve a spot. I went a hour early and there wasn't much room. All seats are good seats tho!

Saw mama mia show. Bought food there. The actors did a fantastic job and the entire audience was smiling and clapping in rythm. Beautiful venue by the Boise river. Bought tickets for 2 more shows this year.

We went to Mama Mia and it was phenomenal! There is not a bad seat in the house and the staff is very friendly. If you want to go to a play, make sure to make reservations well in advance; the shows are sold out quickly.

This place is so great. I just love the atmosphere. The plays are always so well done and I love that you can bring food and drink or dine in there. Tip: bring a blanket. It might be hot when you get there, but when the sun goes down, it gets chilllllly.

I love this place. Truly an amazing Idaho institution in a beautiful part of town. But I suggest
better and more signage that is more clear as to the fishing rules so that your angry grounds crew guy doesn't have to scream, threaten and throw a tantrum in front of young children again. He did this even though I obeyed his angry commands and didn't argue with him. Turns out, two other people I've talked to have had similar experiences with him. How about a "no trespassing" sign on the island?

First...the theater facilities are wonderful. Food venue and restrooms were nice and the higher pay seating and eating areas had a great view of the stage. If you take a cheap hillside spot where you bring your own seats large poles may block your view. The surrounding park land make this theater a very pleasant place to spend the evening.
Second...we went to see the play Julius Caeser but it turned out to be Juliet Caeser. I don't mind reversing some roles but that one was a little off. Left at intermission.

The plays are superb! The environment is cozy and beautiful with the mountains surrounding the set. The people that are all involved go above and beyond with security(they should be in charge at the airport!), and all aspects of the performances and organization of the festival. There is food, beverages, or you can bring in your own cooler. Love the ISF.

I would love to see one of their productions, but will never be able to because they are unwilling to accommodate people who are unable to sit on the ground or in a chair that is no higher than 6" off the ground. It's a darn shame that disabled or elderly people are being excluded.

Undoubtedly, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival is a Treasure Valley treasure. We have been attending for 14 years, and I would rate one performance "Good", with the other dozens being"Excellent". You really should be regularly attending these performances.
