Cheap and clean nice sized bathroom a bit noisy but still a great spot
Cheap and clean nice sized bathroom a bit noisy but still a great spot
Hotel needs renovation ... I understand it was on going during my stay...other than that nothing to complain about...excellent location near the metro and Tran station...best part next to saravana bhavan where u can enjoy excellent Indian vegetarian food.
Good for only sleeping in, if you can bear the noise through the paper-thin walls.
When the traveller lose his luggage and wait for it .and if the ATM card is struck in the bag and thinking you can use ur NFC..then stay only at the door.
Good location, cheap but small rooms and had construction going on at 7am on a Sunday morning.
Good hotel in the middle of cbd. Affordable and easy to reach most places with this little square
Very Comfortable & Beds comfortable & Clean unfortunately room a little on the small side
Great couple of days, with excellent staff and at the heart of Melbourne. Recommended.
Great location, close to almost everything. Room is a decent size, beds are comfortable. Bathroom could be a little better, there's not even a hook to hang your clothes in there. I had a couple of minor problems but the staff were very friendly and promised to fix them quickly. If there's a better place in Melbourne for the money, I haven't found it.
The room itself was small, cleaned daily. Location was nice and central in the city
I went there to visit my friend, the room look dirty, along corridor it wasn't enough lighting as well and the staff not friendly
A great value for money hotel right in Melbourne CBD with great service
Great value for money. The room was equipped with all necessities for a comfortable overnight stay. The free wifi was fast and very convenient. Staff were friendly. Woolworths was a very short walk. Close to skybus terminal and southern cross station. Not far to inmer city tramline loop. Will be back!
For the price, the transportation is good and the Southern Cross is a few minutes away. I fell in love with the pancake machine.
Ok for price but didn't expect much for $90 a night.
Stayed here while passing through on business. It was in the process of being refurbished so perhaps a little unfair to judge now.
The building is nice some attractive original wooden features such as the staircase and period windows. Overall a little shabby.
Room was ok clean and tidy. The biggest fault for me was a daily lukewarm shower. Water never seemed to run hot enough. Average breakfast served quickly. Felt a little cheated by having to pay $6 to upgrade to a cooked breakfast as opposed to the continental.
Very central location handy to get around the city. Car parking is offered around the corner for $25 a day, can park outside the hotel in a bay to unload etc for a small fee.
Ok to stay but wouldn t want to stay for more than a couple of nights.
Very small room but very clean. Staff very nice and helpful
Appalling as as and dish
Dishonest and run down hotel. 400.00 out of pocket. Don't stay here if you want an enjoyable rest because if you do you will come back stressed out. Plus stripped of cash
Rooms resemble the size of a cell
3 stars as it is where it sits and rightly so. Dark corridors, atleast they could have used a lighter color on the walls. The rooms are okay but a bit smaller than expected. Staff lack local knowledge.
The location is very good but it is in reforms and also the constructive quality as well as the privacy is little. It is cheap that it helps a lot to choose the place ... The people are friendly but it is not a hotel that I would recommend as it is now.
Wonderful hotel. Breakfast was lovely rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Love our stay
Room was very clean and comfortable. Really quiet location and good choice of breakfast food.
Friendly and good staff. That's where the good things end.
The rooms and bathrooms are small & dated (really dated). Cleanliness & maintenance could be improved.
Breakfast also lacks options (There is only one available).
No parking, so you have to book a carpark nearby.
Absolutely lovely and comfy place. Accidentally booked the wrong Ibis but worked out well. Will stay again
Good location, easily accessible from all over the city
This place is really bad. The building is like +60 years old so overall feel is like an old hotel.
Bathrooms with mould
Holes in the carpet and general poor condition building- they have tried to hide it all with fresh paint - but this has chipped off to expose the past
Excellent hotel at a very reasonable price, great friendly staff, I have stayed here many times now
The hotel is a little old, but if you book in they mostly have space, great people and ideal location from Southern Cross station
I like this hotel, super strategic. It easy to to go everywhere by tram or train. But when i come, this hotel is so noisy due to renovation inside. But it okay, i just go outside from morning to noon enjoy the city
Old, noisy, thin walls, poor tv reception, rooms are basic and hotel cafe is not worth it. Go eat outside hotel somewhere as plenty of option. Location wise it is very handy.
Loses a star because of the outdated air con which is really loud and not very cooling. Other than that awesome hotel in a perfect location.
Pretty crappy hotel. There is a nightclub next door so it's hard to sleep... even on a Wednesday. There was a strand of hair on my bathroom wall and a strand of dental floss on the floor next to the bin so the cleaning is pretty poor. The hallways look like a school camp with ugly coloured doors and creaky floors with old carpet. And it was expensive for what it is!
Room was so small the door would hit the bed. Renovations from 9am-6pm meant you couldn't rest even if you wanted to due to tool noise. Aircon made noise clanking noises so you could chose between suffocating or sleeping at night. Was only about 10% cheaper than where I nornally stay - would need to be half thr price to make it worth while.
The food was good the room was okay the staff were good
Nice renovation of combined 3+ older buildings with a maze of hallways to arrive at your room. Rooms ok, staff helpful.
Mediocre place to stay at. Rooms are small and clean, location is noisy and ok.
Stayed 3 nights in triple room when my family went to Melbourne for Christmas vacation. The hotel is not new, but we like its strategic location. This hotel is near Southern Cross Station and free tram zone. Bedroom is clean and fits for three person. Bathroom is rather cramped but clean. The receptionist is friendly and responds quickly to guest complaints. Highly recommended and value for money.
Pathetic lodge.
U cant call it a hotel
Ridiculously friendly and helpful staff! Rooms are small but comfortable and newly renovated. Really nice atmosphere, has a great character. Thanks, will stay again!
It is a pretty good for the price in the middle of the city. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room I was given wasn't cleaned properly and they changed rooms for me. Cooked breakfast was not too bad either.
Really bad, noise from heater in whole night, no service, no toothbrush, no internet,
Nice clean rooms. Right into the heart of Melbourne CBD. Easy access to public transportation. Close to shops and restaurants. Will come back again in the future.
Shower's a little hot and cold but over all great place cheap rate's friendly staff. I like the place
Very good, very good up to scratch building as well!
Stayed in a superior double. Room was tiny, but well furnished. The bed is super comfortable. Nice new 32" TV with all FTA digital channels (No Foxtel even though the information on Wotif said 22 channels, we assumed some Foxtel). Location is fantastic, close to public transport, but located in the business district and lacking nearby cafes and restaurants found in other parts of the city. Staff are incredibly helpful and our experience has been fantastic. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting good value in Melbourne CBD.
Room was small, beds were uncomfortable and the one window the room had looked out to nowhere.
It is a well located (close to Southern Cross Train station and trams), basic hotel that will provide a clean bed and bathroom. The room inside seems to be renovated not long ago, but the building is a bit old and run down, plus getting to your room can be a bit of a maze. Don't expect anything great nor terrible.
Good location near the train station. Ok rooms. Bit noisy at night with the Royal Melbourne hotel pumping tunes nearby.
Thin walls, which are awful when your neighbour has an early flight and you don't.
The room are clean and comfortable for the rating of the hotel. Nothing to complain, very happy with the stay.
As at July 2019 part of the hotel is still under renovation. Staff did work hard to minimize the impact though.
Good service and friendly staff who love to help.
Out room looks very new and renovated.
Very clean room and community areas.
Ewuipe very good and infrastructure. Very well located
Cheap, staff are very friendly and helpful, large rooms with opening windows. Easy access to food and public transport. Downsides; not very clean, poor amenities and currently under renovation.
Room was ok, beds were tiny. So tiny they barely constituted a single bed. My feet hung off the ends. Place was under heavy reconstruction at the time and finding rooms felt a little bit like walking through a maze. You get what you pay for. Cheap, simple, no frills. Clean.
Probably won't be much better after the renovations are completed
A place to sleep. Good location and good internet. But that's where it ends. Way overpriced (there was an event on in the city, so I am imagine it was some convenient price gouging) Its in desperate need of refurbishment. Paint is literally peeling from every wall in my room (and it was a bad paint job to begin with) and everything is very worn out and dated. Time to get a refurb guys.
Hotel staff so lovely. The room was well cleaned and comfortable.
Pleasant experience, good and friendly staff :-) you can stay with comfort :-)
Decent and clean but old. Rooms very small and walls need a coat of paint.
The location is good but old, near the hotel at Southern Cross Station. It is noisy under renovation as of December 2017. Also, apart from the construction, the room wall was thin or the next room was full of conversation. It may be because the next side was Chinese and speaking loudly. The hotel staff are friendly and good, but otherwise not recommended.
Pretty nice. As expected. Not luxury, but not expensive.
Perfect Location for a one night stay.... barely 2 mins away from the station
Didn't expect it to be like a back packer hotel. Far cry from the Ibis (Swanston Street) I've been to about 2weeks ago.
Nice hotel...needs updating...we stayed with kids and the main thing we didnt like was that it seems to be situated in the heart of the nightclub scene...wasnt nice walking with kids at night around hooligans and drunks..
Omg I can t believe this is the hotel I booked it is horrible.
