This place is a must for a slice of pizza in Madison. I had Mac N Cheese Pizza and Pepperoni. Pepperoni was good, but Mac N Cheese was great. It seems to be the most popular. They serve by the slice or full pizzas. Slices are big, two slices are enough for one person

Went here for lunch during Pride. They were very busy yet we got through surprisingly quickly. They were very organized and it was some of the best pizza I have ever had.
A Madison staple! Ian's has a variety of fun and interesting specially pizzas that rotate monthly. The traffic flow can be a bit awkward while picking up the slices from the oven, but you soon forget about it once you have it in hand. It's always a solid contender for me when I'm looking for a quick bite downtown.
Pizza was good, wasn't outstanding. Service was disorganized, but when we got someone she was friendly and helpful. Many dif kinds of pizza, salad options were many and fresh.
The one by the convention center is better and worth the walk, but we ended up by state street and had a yummy dinner just less choice and longer lines.
If you are on foot and inebriated one of the absolute best choices you can make is to walk through this door give them some money in exchange for pizza! Even if you don't fit the previously stated criteria it's a darn good slice...
Amazing employees, great atmosphere, super accommodating to those with diet preferences (ie vegan). Would really like to see them phase out the in-house paper plates for reusable ones as well as in house glasses for water/drinks. They could reduce a lot of waste this way. Either way, love it!
Great place to brings friends to. The staff is very friendly and always make good suggestions. There's usually really cool art all over the restaurant. Offers vegan and gluten free options. They offer monthly and weekly specials.
It's just ok. The pizza came in some unique flavors, but by and large they just tasted the same. Greasy and salty, with little of the individual flavors coming through. I'm assuming the local college crowd loves it, but in my eyes it's just not good pizza.
It s interesting pizza and a beautiful art for their flyers. It often gets very busy around lunch and sometimes a bit confusing in how to order or where to go to order. Overall, I d recommend every visitor to Madison try their pizza.
Pizza is excellent, however if I can make it to the register without anyone asking what I want to order then get "usually you order there, pay here...makes more sense when it's busy." Then maybe staff need to pay more attention to customers.
Always a favorite since I started visiting Madison 12 years ago. From late night snack to lunch, make sure to stop by for a slice. The Mac & Cheese pizza can't be beat for kids and adults.
It's amazing how they are always thinking up.new pizza flavors and the variety is incredible. I always end up getting two slices but want 4 or 5 just to try everything. The flavors never disappoint either, worth every penny!
One of the most delicious pizza places in Madison. Would definitely recommend the vegan and vegetarian options. Loads of fun to hangout at this places with friends. Loveee the huge slices. Try the chilli ranch sauce. We tried the build your own for half and then Mac and cheese for the other half.
Okay, so I've loved Ian's Pizza since my first Mac and Cheese Slice. They have specialty toppings every month that I try as often as I possibly can and I've never tried one that I didn't love. But, thats the thing, I only ever visited Ian's if I wanted an interesting specialty pizza. Well, recently my love for Ian's went next level when I tried a traditional Pepperoni slice. I've been scouring Madison for the perfect New York style pizza and always came up empty handed except for two places who were close, but not quite where I wanted them to be. Ian's hits it head on, I never even expected to try a traditional slice here and have it be anything close to NY style, but here I am, salivating while writing this review. Whether you want a traditional New York Style slice or something fun and interesting, you'll find it at Ian's. Get you a pizza place that can do both.
Good staff and service, open late (which i love because I work late). And on top of that, great slices at an excellent cost. Ask about the loyalty cards!
If you're from out of state, try the Wisconsin Mac 'n Cheese. Do it even if you're not. Can't go wrong with the chicken bacon ranch or the BBQ brisket either. Many unique pies. No way I could remember them all. One slice is usually enough for most, but usually eat two to feel full for a while.
It was ok... the Mac and Cheese tasted more like a grilled cheese sandwich than Mac and Cheese pizza. The BBQ pizza was pretty good, not great. It is very popular and a lot of people, even on a Monday.
I would consider this the best pizza in Madison. The location couldn't be better, the only thing that is is the variety of pizza slices you can order at Ian's.
Good lord I have found pizza heaven. Do not pass this place up! A+ The variety is amazing and the staff work very hard and are very friendly. So glad I died and went to pizza heaven where I was resurrected by the best pizza around!
It's good local unique pizza, but def. a place for the drunks after the bars shut down. If they ever have the Philly cheese steak pizza out, do your self a favor and just buy 5 slices!
Best pizza place ever. This is their main location. They have locations in 4 other cities and their pizza quality is amazing at all locations. The mac and cheese pizza is one of a kind and the best ever. They also have coustom pizzas with whatever crust sause and toppings that you want.
A must for anyone living in Madison, or visiting state Street. If you catch yourself at the end of the night with the drunk munchies, you'll likely venture here. Be aware, this place is always crowded, sometimes the line is to the street, but it's worth the wait. You'll find unique options like Mac & Cheese Pizza, my personal favorite.
