We were at the Hyatt (7 days) during Thanksgiving 2019 for the holiday and unfortunately a funeral. I had met Zenie H. (Perks employee) over the course of several other visits and stays at the Hyatt Wichita, Zenie was so easy to talk with that I mentioned the funeral and the reasons we were there. Zenie, unexpectedly had a platter of cheeses, fruit and crackers delivered to our room. WOW!!! I believe that Zenie's actions should be acknowledged. Her willingness to greet each customer is truly amazing. Please tell Zenie thank you.

We went to the Hyatt Regency Wichita for Easter Brunch 2017. The food was delicious. There was a great spread featuring some less conventional brunch dishes. It was so good my children actually ate it as well which is really saying something. The dessert station was great featuring pies, cakes, and cookies.

Really like this place. Covered parking in a secured garage, large rooms, and surrounded by parks - the river on one side, river walk park area on two, makes the views nice and easy strolls across the river for good food easily achievable. Also have a very nice fitness room.

(Hot tub jets were a little weak and temp was a little lukewarm but whatever)

The place was kind of crazy with kids, as there was a young woman's beauty pageant going on. However, the staff handled everything with skill and courtesy. Dinner in the restaurant, and the breakfast buffet, the following morning, were both quite nice. The room itself, was great. I can't say a lot about it, other than it was clean, and the bed was amazing! We had a very long day, and were dealing with having had almost no sleep, so we kind of passed out, shortly after walking into the room. Slept great! Yeah, we will be back...

I attended a work presentation in one of the eagle ballrooms as well as a mixer in an adjacent ball room. The room was set up well and the seats were comfortable. The wait staff during the mixer were professional and very quick to clear sorry dishes, bottles and trash. It was an excellent experience.

I had two rooms for my family. I had a great views from the 16th floor overlooking a ballpark, and riverwalk. At night we walked down the riverwalk area, cold but beautiful. The bar and restaurant downstairs were nice. And coffee shop in the lobby, using starbucks coffee, and various starbucks drinks was a big plus.

People are great, service is great. Rooms are very comfortable. I had an allergic reaction at lunch, could not find my key, had my I'd and the lady helped me get in my room to get my Epi pen. Was a life savor.

Overall a disappointing experience. Walked into the room and it smells bad. Bed okay, pillows HORRIBLE. Carpet very worn, definitely needs an upgrade. Went to dry off with a towel and towels smelled. Kind of a mildew smell. Definitely not what I expect at a Hyatt hotel. We will stay at the Ambassador next time.

I attended the Red Cross Heros breakfast @ the Hyatt this morning. Great turnout. The buffet was very nice & serving staff was excellent. Well planned program, Kudos to Red Cross staff who organized it.

The Good: Nice gym, good location

The Bad: No hotel pamphlets in rooms indicating check-in and check-out times / menu / TV channel guide, the few items available for room service way too expensive. Parking lot across from hotel is very confusing for entry or exit.

The Ugly: Mattress was hard as a rock and straight up uncomfortable, paid extra $5 for river view but got a half window and therefore couldn't even see said river. Ran out of water 25 minutes into shower. What kind of hotel doesn't have enough hot water?

Will not be coming back.

The room was dusty. The shower had mold growing in it. We couldn't get new paper cups in our room every morning. PAPER CUPS! One free cup of coffee ? really??? The restaurant was overpriced. Checked out the Drury. Much better amenities for the same money. Five star hotel?? Not hardly. Beware!

Was here for an event, that included food. Wasn t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised.

Nice crisp salad, good cheesy potatoes, chicken was slightly over cooked and dry.

The pulled pork wasn t bad, nor was the Carmel apple crisp.

A pet peeve of mine is the rest rooms. One sink had no soap from the start of the day, never resolved before I left.

Both sinks had electronic controls, which I understand, what I don t understand is why they are set to barely trickle water flow and turn off instantly.

I get saving water, and I m all for that, but when it can impact cleanliness, it s a problem.

If the staff doesn t have enough attention to detail, how effective is the staff for washing hands?

The Hyatt is close to all of things downtown, though it's also the kind of place you don't have to leave if you're working. Reasonably priced breakfast, and free parking or a paid garage. Starbucks, bar, and restaurant all in the main lobby. This is definitely one of the better places to stay in the city.
