This hotel is... fine, I guess. But not great and certainly not a good value for the money. Maybe it just hasn't met MY needs very well. I needed to find a spot to get some work and reading done, and this was certainly NOT a good place for that. I went out by the pool, and everything was FILTHY-- garbage on every table. Inside the hotel itself, there are almost no places to sit down with a colleague at a table (unless you mean inside a restaurant or bar)... and that is very odd for a conference hotel. The rooms are certainly nothing special-- you can probably find a room as nice or better with a few blocks.
For the record, the conference facilities themselves seem to be nice. And hotel has sort of a nice story behind it, having been closed for quite a few years after Katrina.
It was a nice room but not very close to anything in down town. We had to take and ubber to go eat. The Burger cOmpany was with in walking distance but I was disappointed when they had no vegg for my burger and nasty paper straws. The hotel room was nice but we really had no view to speak of and the fees were on the pricey side. I freaked out after I realized how much the coffee and water was and I'm almost positive neither were free. I liked the contempary lighting and the bed was a good sleep but the early check out was a drag. Not the fanciest but very nice.
One of the most finest hotel- that's continue to make you feel at home stay- I give this hotel a 5 star- excellent
Excellent conference location. Easily accessible by streetcar.
I have King suite but don't feel like I am staying in the King suite. The bathtub drains water very slow, water from shower head runs little and it takes forever to get the shampoo out. Coffee machine was broken. I have to call the hotel for lotion.
Hyatt was very professional and have an awesome environment
Everything was beautiful. I actually went to mechacon there. It was spacious held several conference rooms for each show and was all together a welcoming environment.
Great location close to the Superdome. Twenty minute walk to Bourbon St
Had lunch at the bar food was good, oysters were excellent
They overbooked their rooms, forced us to go to a differently hotel and then in the morning when we needed to get back to the original hotel, no one at the service desk answered the phone.
From the price of parking to the drinks, to the food
Not from nola and only visited for a restaurant within hotel. The restaurant is really clean, and the staff accommodating. The menu has some really great items for those who are into seafood.
Very nice and clean place. Would definitely stay again.
Bed was real bad, the sheets felt like paper, tv kept going in an out , no water pressure in shower at all. room was so small for the price we paid we won't ever stay here again , not worth the money not at all !
Perfect location. Clean. Huge hotel. Programmed elevators to speed up movement up and down.
The views from numerous areas at this starship hotel are panoramic & the chandelier in the lobby is memorable.
Exemplary service & experienced staff .
Service is excellent. Room was ok. The elevator control system is weird and the intermittent shut downs of the escalators was annoying.
The service was good a d the rooms ran and spacious.
Very nice and super clean. Staff are exceptional and the view from my floor was awesome as the Superdome was right across the street. Not far from Bourbon Street and other places to see. Would definitely recommend staying there.
Excellent hotel with a central location to everything. Very clean, very friendly. I will be back!
I go here once a year for work and I look forward to it every time !!!
Elevator buttons are a horrible design. Stairs and escalators are a horrible design. The escalators skipped the 2nd floor. Had baby roaches in room 738 and we had go sleep with them. They said they would move our stuff to room 721 but they didn't. Me and my friends moved our stuff. Then after we moved into the new room, found a big roach. The rooms weren't clean. I left my pillow in the room and house keeping stole it. Never will room there again. Even the public phone by the elevators on the 7th floor was dusty. Worst MechaCon experience ever. There isn't even a microwave in the rooms. Food prices were really expensive for little food. Food wasn't that great either.
Great looking hotel. Service is kind of slow. We reserved a conference room and I had to call 3 times for water...ended up buying bottles as pitchers never came.
The hotel and staff was great. The water is too soft and when you take a shower or wash your hands, you feel like you can't get the soap off. Otherwise it was ok. We did loose water, but this was due to freezing temps in the city.
A great place to stay. Close to the trolley cars and a short trip to the main areas of New Orleans. Exelent food close by. Recommend staying in this area of it is your first time at the city. The top floors have less city noise.
I have been increasingly impressed with Hyatt. Rooms, bedding and bathroom amenities exceeding my expectations. I actually told my assistant to book me at Hyatt above Marriott. Major brand upgrade noticeable to the road warrior.
Three Hyatts in a row exceeding my expectations.
I attended a training seminar for work at the Hyatt. The hotel itself was beautiful. Clean and welcoming. The staff that catered our event were friendly, kind and professional! Ive stayed there in the past few years and loved it then too!
I went to Borgne for Mother's Day lunch. We had a tasty and prompt meal.
Rooms are a little dated but great location and service from the staff
Huge convention hotel near the Super Dome. Great Service, Rooms, & Location. I would definitely recommend this hotel. A short walk to the French Quarter.
Everyone here very friendly, pool was buggy and out doors, be prepared to pay 100 plus a night. Eateries in hotel are pricey too the recency is well worth adding to your room. We had two days of taste of new orleans. Above all great place the cost is what gets a person.
Easily 5 stars. Staff, room, restaurants were superb. I won't stay anywhere else in New Orleans.
Wonderful hotel! We were more than pleased to stay here.
Great morning buffet. Got this because the hotel was fully booked and beds were placed in a living room of a suite.
Great rooms, great service, and very clean. Always a solid time. The only reason I give it four stars is that it is not a walkable distance from many of the touristy stuff in New Orleans. Not something they can change. However, if I were to choose a hotel in NOLA, this would be in my top 3.
Great beds, nice environment and amenities. Convenient to French quarter and other attractions. Mercedes Benz Superdome and Smoothie King Center are across the street. A bit clumsy to navigate initially. Housekeeping is great, attentive, and helpful. Easy check in.
The layout of this facility does not feel user friendly. Especially for those with accessibility challenges. I have attended several events and conferences in this location and while the venue and recent renovations are very nice, it seems that accessibility for those with physical disabilities and/or mobility challenges was an afterthought (at best). Accessing many of the conference level floors is nearly impossible without walking up/down several flights of stairs-- especially when an individual is just visiting the hotel for the purpose of attending a conference or meeting and when he/she does not have elevator access due to not being in possession of a room key.
You are in the heart of New Orleans "French Quater". Everyone employed there goes above and beyond. The rooms and the entire hotel is beautiful. They are very great on getting you checked in quickly. The entertainment is on point some of the best jazz you'll ever hear. That place is a winner.
This is a terrific meeting hotel and we are looking forward to bringing about 3,000 attendees here in April 2019. Lots of nice food and beverage options that aren't astronomically priced, very nice rooms, and a great staff.
I opted for a deluxe suite for 3 nights. It was spacious although the bathroom was smaller than I would have expected. The view was superb.
The only annoyance I experienced was the mini fridge in the suite which was at 10 degrees Celsius. His argument was that putting 4 bottles of water was too much for capacity. And that it would be a cooler and not a refrigerator (as stated in the description of the rooms). It took far too much argument for the service engineer to agree to adjust the temperature. Therefore, the cooler / refrigerate maintained the desired temperature of 4 degrees.
Service at the front desk, 8 block restaurant and bar was excellent. I highly recommend the lunch buffet. Valet service is expensive but the service is exceptional.
Walking through the door it was what I expected from the Hyatt Recency..The brand is known for Beautiful clean , exquisite decor and exceptional customer service. What I did not expect is a semi clean room upon arrival. I did not anticipate the fact that they did not clean the following day until requested afte r 4..No new fresh towels until requested.
The room was very clean and I had a very nice stay.
Solid room experience. Technologically advanced elevators are a bit much
The rooms are nice, staff courteous but the restaurant's are very expensive and there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. If you call down to the front desk, nobody answers. If you plan on staying here plan on spending a lot of money.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food and some amazing views. The hotel itself is eye candy and enjoyable to wander around. Fairly easy to navigate once you get your bearings. Is it bad that there being a mini fridge in the room made me happy? The maid service was pretty top notch.
