My son and I came for the Galaxycon convention. The hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. The staff was impeccable! The rooms were super clean and nice! I loved that there was a Starbucks right in the lobby! We didn t even have to move our vehicle to go anywhere,as shopping and food was within walking distance! Thank you for such an awesome stay!

I was disappointed to see that our "City view" was a view of the nearby convention center's roof.... disheartening at best. However after Hyatt read my survey, they more than made up for my disappointment.

Rooms are a little smaller than other hotels around the area. The most annoying thing I found was there's no room between the toilet and the sink. I was always touching the toilet seat while trying to reach for the hand towels

Upon entering, the front desk receptionist was polite and helped us through a charge error on our company's fault. After getting it sorted out, we were given the choice of where the room was located, due to the length of our stay. The room we chose had a decent view of 4th Street and was located away from the elevator (perfect for me). The room was clean and prepared, as expected. The real shocker was the TV - we did not expect a 60" TV! Amenities were the usual - mini fridge, coffee maker, safe, etc... And the bathroom had the usual supplies. The shower gets hot quickly, which was nice. The decor throughout the room was tasteful and minimal. The center desk has a nice lamp with two power plugs and two USB charging ports. The radio also has a power plug and two USB ports. Overall, we've been very pleased with the experience. My only criticism is that the AC doesn't seem to cool the room quickly, nor does the temp feel like it's supposed to be where it's at. The room was comfortable after letting it run for some time and keeping the fan going to circulate air.

Parking garage elevator super slow. Besides that everything ok . Don't understand about stars given to hotels, this one is a four star, I guess I am accustomed to casino penthouses......now everything let's me down.

Front desk staff (in particular Oz) went above and beyond to give us 5 star experience when we mentioned at check-in that we were doing a one night "staycation". They sent a bottle of wine to our room gratis. Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms... awesome experience. The new rooms have HUGE tvs, probably 65 inches at least. Excellent hotel. So rare to have such great customer service these days. My guess is that all renovations will be completed by Derby.

I have spent many years at the Hyatt for a convention. The hotel was always top of the line and the staff amazingly accommodating. It is probably my favorite downtown Louisville hotel I have stayed in.

The location is great and its proximity to 4th street live is great for tourists. The rooms are modern and many of them offer great views of the city. The television was very large. The staff was very helpful. I always enjoy my stay here.

Very disappointed and aggravated. My room is cold and my refrigerator does not work. Staff confirmed my room is 69 degrees and they brought me a SPACE HEATER. My room is still cold and I am forces to wait for this space heater to warm my room so I can shower. This is my Mother s Day get away and it was a complete waste of money. I ve had better experiences at 2 Star Hotels. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Great hotel. Staff was really nice. Sort of confusing getting to the hotel through the parking garage. Room was big and really nice. The 65 inch TV was s plus. The elevator is really cool since it's all glass.

Nice Hotel But BE WARNED

Nice Hotel But BE WARNED

I honestly wanted to write an excellent review for this place. I arrived with such excitement. And I'll even state the good things right away. The Vallet service was very friendly and quick, they even helped me load my luggage onto my cart and wheel it to my room. When I ordered room service, they told me it would be a 30-45 minute wait for my food. It came in 15 minutes AND the food was still hot. You get a selection of proper amenities like a soft bath robe, liqour, anything you may need to treat yourself. Then I went for dinner downstairs. Food was amazing as well. (Side-note, best bacon I've ever had). I got a standard room, and still felt like I was in a suite. The bathroom was very modern and practically new! I've never been in a hotel bathroom that DIDN'T have a flaw and I loved it. The 65" flatscreen you get is so nice to look at. And the color is slightly dimmed so it doesnt hurt your eyes. Plenty of storage throughout the room. The pool was okay. I prefer to swim alone which I was able to do. But the pool did not appear to be heated like they had stated. But that could just be me. Still a nice little area with a city view. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful. The food is worth it (pricy) but worth it. The staff always smile, and they treat you like royalty!

However...the reason I had to give 4 stars instead of 5, was because of the cleaning staff. Now your experience might be different from mine, but BE WARNED! My breakfast had just came. I had some cash on my nightstand that I tipped the gentleman with, then I started to eat. I left the rest of my cash on the table temporarily until I was done eating. I ordered a big meal, but before I could even enjoy it, I went up to use the restroom. For reasons unnecessary to explain, I wound up breaking my thumb and had to run to the ER. I didnt have time to eat my breakfast, and I had forgotten about the money I had left on my table. When I came back a couple hours later, they had already come by to refresh and restock my room. It was then that I realized my entire breakfast had been thrown out, which I had been saving for later. And on a more serious note, the money was gone. Beyond furious, I went down to complain to the front desk, and thankfully they were able to resolve the issue, which again proves how amazing this hotel and overall staff is. Though I cannot complain too much, I sort of understood why the cleaners took the money. They saw it on the night stand and assumed it was a tip. And I was remmberesed for that plus the entire breakfast that was thrown out. But one small mistake they made cost me all of my enjoyment for the rest of my visit. I wish things could have been different. STILL an excellent hotel! But be mindful of your surroundings at all costs.

Loud....LOUDER....LOUDEST!!

Loud....LOUDER....LOUDEST!!
Young kids running loose in the inward facing hallways at 10:30pm - like a huge echo chamber. Don't stay here if you're in the area on business.
