This hotel used to be my favorite in Lexington which is why I selected it to be used for my wedding. Sadly, this property is now falling into poor repair. Staff has been heavily lowered due to Covid and it shows. My room was unacceptable for my desired means and, although there was an alternative readily available, no-one was there to clean it. I ended up cleaning it up myself including taking out the trash and scrubbing toilets.

If you are interested in staying in one of the full size suites, there appear to be only two on property. The one I was given is one the third floor and has a view of the adjacent roof, HVAC venting and little else. This is far removed from the high floor image that is shown on the website. This seems to be taken from the other full size suite on property.

In the end, we used the hotel for a small gathering before the ceremony and then moved the accommodations for my party to the Marriott properties downtown which were both fully staffed and appeared meticulously cleaned.

Was at the bar with a wedding party before we left for the restaurant and the staff was fantastic! They were extremely with us all and helped us decide on what drinks we would like. A lovely experience overall.

We stayed here for a concert and it was awesome! The view from our room was spectacular and it was our anniversary and they sent up a bottle of wine. My one gripe was after the concert was over, we went out for a few drinks and got back to room late (around 2:00am). There was a menu saying food available 24hrs (yes, menu was from hotel). We called room service and they said the kitchen was closed. Except for that, hotel was excellent.

Checked in for a 3 night stay, pulled the pillows and sheets back to find stains and hair in my bed. Unacceptable in a deadly pandemic especially when your paying over $100 a night. Took pictures and showed the concierge (Emma) who tried to explain what the stains were. And just totally dismissed the urgency of the situation. She alerted the head of house keeping who came up to the room with new sheets...(just sheets no pillow cases) touched the hairs and also tried to explain what the stains were. Then she said she would change the bedding and i asked what about the pillows and cases? She then said oh, i can do that if you want? -like this was an option. I ve only been here 1 hour and totally turned off and disappointed by this experience and the lack of customer service.

We were just passing through, and since we booked through a booking service, we had no idea the hotel was attached to the Rupp. We arrived late at night, and downtown was so crowded, especially around the hotel because a concert had just let out. But the staff was so accommodating to me, my husband, and our three little ones! They allowed us to stay in front of the hotel until the parking lots cleared out for us to be able to park. They retrieved a cart for us to bring our stuff inside (not a lot for one night, but enough that it would be difficult to carry up with little ones). When we got inside, there was an employee helping guests with the elevators, just keeping things moving. When he saw me with the cart and kids, he graciously escorted us to a service elevator so the kids wouldn t have to wait for the next elevator, and helped us to our floor while my husband was parking the car.
Our room was lovely, and immaculate. Our beds were exceptionally comfortable, so much so that we opted to depart an hour later than planned so we could sleep a little longer!

Hotel is attached to the Rupp arena which makes it super convenient, just keep in mind that the elevators may get swamped after an event. Level B has access to some fast food if your looking for a really quick bit. Of course there's the hotel bar, or any of the local establishments right downtown. Biggest thing neat feature to me was the auto temp shower controls, set your ideal temp and turn the water on and it's there. Wife didn't think it got hot enough though. The down side was house keeping, the under side of the toilet seat wasn't completely clean. And the top cover of the bed I accidentally spilled takeout on and it took 2 days till house keeping changed it.

I don't know who runs this Hyatt, but they obviously treat their employees terribly and it shows! I walk the downtown pedways daily so I see the daily actions of the people working here. None of the managers talk to locals or guests. They're always standing in a corner analyzing the place like a cop. Then the public spaces like restrooms are completely overlooked and the managers blame the employees instead of checking how the employees are being treated as human beings. How about the managers take the time to clean out the toilets before they get stained yellow. How about the managers put out some money to replace the stained ceiling tiles

Spending the day at the Hyatt Regency for a work conference is certainly more enjoyable than spending it behind a desk. Actually depending on the topic sometimes work can be more fun. But as far as facilities go for conferences, the Hyatt Regency provides excellent seating and tasty refreshments. They also served us a very tasty lunch. Given the choice, I would attend a work conference there any time.

Jason, the young valet attendant (from Frankfort, ...

Jason, the young valet attendant (from Frankfort, as my dad recollects) essentially shaped the impression of our weekend in Lexington and I wanted to extend my most sincere compliments and gratitude to him! Very rarely do you find people who are genuine in what they do, and Jason was so very genuine and a great presence to be around this weekend.

From the very first moment we arrived at the hotel, he was there, directing us on where to park and making it as easy as possible to get checked in and situated when the parking lot was full (due to the concert that night, and Auburn vs. UK game next day). He was very sweet, outgoing and super personable! He was enthusiastic and very quick to help us unload our bags and take them to our room! He also explained to us some points of interest that may have suited us for the weekend, as well as places to find food and how to get there. He was just such a sweet heart.

My mother and father were enamored by his studiousness from the entire weekend and continued to discuss him, as his friendliness, positive vibrations and helpfulness were impacting. He was there the next day as we came and went from the hotel, too. My dad was impressed with how and where he parked the car lol and my mom felt wholly dignified as he assisted her out of the car (which she continues to bring up to my dad, as he doesn t! lol), among other things! My mother continues to insist we need two more young men like that in the family lol! As it was super rainy, he also offered to get us some umbrellas for us to have, too.

Simply, I believe my enthusiasm to write a 3 paragraph + review suffices to say that we had a GREAT weekend thanks to Jason and the rest of the staff at the Hyatt! Additionally, the location, value of the rooms for the weekend, amenities, beds, bathrooms, and simply everything else were incredible. Overall, the stay in Lexington was fantastic and super fun! Thank you all! for making sure this weekend getaway was filed with the positive and uplifting vibrations that we ve been needing.

We Checked in on Friday February 22nd, 2019 around 9:30pm and checked out on Sunday Feb 24th, 2019 at around 10:50am. We stayed in rooms 404 and 406 and were the family of four coming from Louisville.

The hotel was extremely clean and check-in was a breeze. We were in our room in about 5 minutes. The room was modern, clean, and spacious. We even received a bottle of wine as gesture of our loyalty and since it was a rare getaway for us. The only things keeping us from giving it a 5 star rating were the shower water pressure and the AC. Since we were staying one night only we didn't bring up the shower water pressure. The AC was fine while awake yet when we went to bed we turned it way down, like we do at home. Unfortunately, we woke up several times throughout the night as it never got cooler than the temp we saw before bed. It wasn't hot as much as it wasn't cool enough to use the covers of the bed which we prefer.

Great location and excellent service from every staff member we came across. From bartenders to vallets to front desk everyone was helpful and pleasant despite my numerous stupid questions. The room was nice and well appointed. The shower was legit!

Was in Lexington for our 1st UK basketball game. Had heard horror stories about the parking so decided to get get a room at Hyatt. Upon check in everyone was friendly but a little stiff. Upon returning from the game our bed had been turned back with chocolate left and window curtains had been pulled closed. I loved it. Beds were very comfortable & pillows were perfect.

Bathroom showers had plenty of hot water, with good water pressure. Loved the big bath towels. Ceilings could use a little attention looked kinda yellowish.

Would stay here again if attending another UK basketball game. I liked that I had the option of paying for valet parking or free parking right across the road.

I am giving this Hyatt two stars because I am a nice person. It is great, if you enjoy the soothing sounds of revving engines all night long - we were 10 floors up and, still, the traffic noise was ridiculous! The mattress is okay, the pillows are typical hotel pillows. The booking sites list this property as being in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. In truth, most of the many shops and restaurants have vacated the area. There is a pretty little park. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unpleasant, sewage like, smell eminating from the lobby restaurant, (no need to eat there!). The desk clerk barely looked me in the eye during the check in process - choosing, instead, to look over my shoulder at, who knows what? If he is shy, okay - maybe this isn't the job for him, as he is supposed to be making a favorable first impression. I was going to give the room a higher rate for cleanliness - then I took a shower. The tub barely drains, meaning you are showering in increasingly deepening water. Then, I reached for a towel, and discovered the big long mascara streaks still on it!! So, yeah, I can give this place a higher rating for cleanliness. I'm giving two stars because, as I said, I am a nice person - also, the toiletries have a pleasant aroma. If you are desperate, book here... otherwise, keep looking!

This place was awesome. My wife and I spent half of our honeymoon here. It's close to downtown and there are so many restaurants within walking distance. And it's tied to the local sports arena. I'm sure if there was a game it would be an even better sell, if that's possible. I don't think we will ever come again because our suite was a gift but I hope so. Fantastic place.
