Hyatt Regency Lexington Review

There was an electrical fire two weeks ago that we didn't find out about until yesterday. Other guests had been warned not to stay here. No pool, smoke smell in the halls. The pictures speak.

Very comfortable room, beautiful view of downtown Lexington from the 8th floor.

Hotel had a great location in downtown Lexington. They have free giant cookies in the afternoon.

Check in was fast and easy. The room was spacious and clean, had everything we expected.

Great rooms. Workout facility decent, could use new workout mats (they were folded up and old). Breakfast buffet incredibly overpriced. Staff very nice and helpful. Location great!

Great stay. The restaurant is great. The workers are friendly and very helpful. Best hamburgers and fries I have had.

Hotel is in a great location to have dinner or catch a basketball game. The restaurant inside is overpriced but there's lots of options nearby. The internet is fast but the glass-topped desk made computer use with a laptop difficult.

An excellent hotel that is customer focused. Everyone is always pleasant, professional, courteous, and focused on a positive guest experience. Highly recommend.

This is a peaceful hotel with friendly staff. It's best to avoid this hotel when there are events at Rupp Arena unless you're attending the events as it is loud and hectic during those times!

I attended the Easter brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. All the food was amazing, the wait staff was hardworking and polite, and the interior was delightful.

A very nice hotel in a convienent location. I'm a little disappointed with their snack and beverage selection (it's almost non existent) but the service has been great and the room was nice and clean.

My room was never cleaned. We stayed Wednesday and Thursday night. I was gone from 7:30 am then can back for lunch for about an hour around 12. Then was gone from 1-8. Never got room cleaned. We even asked the cleaning lady to make sure we got our room cleaned as we had towels food service dishes and trash in room for 2 days. She was right next door to us when we left and I looked over at her and gave a smile. She did not smile back and gave me a dirty look. She never said hi or can I get you anything. She never did anything to our room. It was only after repeated calls and complains that she finally came in on Thursday night. Tucked the comforter in barely, left trash and everything. Never cleaned sink, threw my blanket in the bed, only thing she did when she finally came in in Thursday night was she did give us new towels. Did not give us any shampoo soap or conditioners. Worst experience of a hotel I have EVER experienced. I have stayed many tines at a Hyatt. I can not believe that they hired someone so disrespectful angry and lazy. On top of that the person I charge of house keeping should not be continued on staff as we had called to complain and never once did anything. I am going to recommend that we have our conference in Louisville. We had the worst experience and with having as many people staying there for a conference you would expect that the hotel staff would make EVERY effort to accommodate their guests. I can not BELIEVE that they are doubting that our room was cleaned. They said our room was cleaned. I can not BELIEVE that they are NOT taking responsibility for their lack of hospitality. You can Check our records of how many times we had to call front desk to complain. I will not be staying next year if the conference is in Lexington. I will stay at the one across the street. And will likely never stay at any Hyatt in future due to experience.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown, close to several restaurants and a park. The rooms are very nice and clean. We had a king size bed that was a little on the firm side. While I slept well, my wife didn't like the new mattress. Since our last stay, the bathroom has been renovated from a traditional tub shower to a beautiful glass and metal walk-in shower. Again, while I enjoyed it, my wife did not. She found the floor to be slippery. We ordered hamburgers from room service for dinner. The delivery was quick (around 20 minutes), and the food was decent. We have stayed here several times now, and we keep coming back for a reason. The staff is always courteous and gracious, the rooms are clean and well-kept, and for the accommodations, the pricing isn't bad. I, personally give 5 of 5 stars, and definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency.

I was there for a company Christmas party and it was great l. The BLUEGRASS BALLROOM was extremely nice. I stayed at the Hyatt and the rooms was really nice. The room was clean bed was very comfortable. This is my second time staying here and I will be returning.

It was ok walls where thin I could hear my neighbors coughing and their alarm clock going off all night kept me up my first night, I stayed for 3 nights and I had to get my card programmed 3 times, work on the elevator carrying things make it to my room and it not work at the door. Tedious complaints
If I m going to spend 500$ for three nights I ll stay in something better!

I stopped in for a drink before a UK men's basketball game and the space was well organized to accommodate lots of people pregaming. The service was also great!

If you are wheelchair bound you must find the hidden wheelchair lift from the restaurant to the pool and veranda area.

If attending a event at Rupp use the vallet at the Hyatt. Best way to park if you aren't a local.

It was going great until check out. I was placed here by the conference I was attending, and was given only the location by the lodging organizer. upon check in, they did not tell me of any check out time (the only hotel I have stayed at that didn't), so I kept my stuff in my room until I was done at the conference since my laptop would be safer in there than my car. When I went to check out, I was told I would be charged for another half day since I didn't check out in the window that I wasn't told about. Another employee behind the desk stepped in and said that the window was "normal for most hotels" failing to realize that by not providing the time at check in, they are no longer acting like a normal hotel and such assumptions do NOT apply. Next, he gave the excuse that they would have called me, but didn't have my number, trying to push blame to me again. I would have given my number if they had bothered to ask for it. Finally, he said that he wouldn't charge me if he could resell the room for the night. While this is kind of an improvement, its still unacceptable as this entire situation could have been avoided if they would manage their hotel better. I would have been fine with moving my stuff to my car until the end of the day if they would have been clear on this. They're better at telling you the price of the overpriced water in the rooms than their policies. Stay somewhere else if you can help it.

The staff here is excellent and very informative. The room is very clean with a nice bathroom shower. You can valet or self park for free across the street. There is a restaurant and bar in the lobby. I enjoy they have both firm and soft pillows. However I didn't like that there was only a comforter instead of a blanket which was extremely hot.

Extremely friendly and kind service. Parking lot is outside. Staff did comp the parking few. Something to consider if you like covered spaces. Location is great for downtown area and adjacent to Rupp Arena. Room is modern kept up, clean. The lobby bar stayed open until 11 pm which seems early for a Saturday night. Eateries and bars nearby provide options for entertainment. Price of room was reasonable.

Nice setup over all, but they seriously need to figure out some way to soundproof the rooms... I could hear absolutely everything going on around me all night - including the drunk woman two doors down who was returning her rented libations to the porcelain king.

We went to the PBR BULL RIDING event at Rupp Arena. The location and convince is a 5+++++. We went to the lounge after and it was understaffed, one bartender. I understand that things happen, but have a contingency plan. Especially on a Saturday night with an event at Rupp. They didn't have any sweet tea but that's ok......but we stood at the bar and waited for service at least 20 minutes. Room was nice. Although you could tell it needed some refreshing. If it wasn't for the convince factor for me I'd definitely say it's over priced.

The room is a good size, but the a/c wasn't working very well and wouldn't cool my room down. I woke up sweating and very hot multiple times during the night. The hotel is located in a very good area with a lot of stuff around. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the airport and runs on time. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and fun hotel. Great location downtown, close walk to many bars and restaurants.

Nice rooms and conference facilities, and great views! Convenient for UK games and other Rupp Arena events.
