Really the only thing that was odd was the heater/...
Really the only thing that was odd was the heater/cooler had a weird smell to it almost like a cat box. Rest of everything was perfectly fine, had a great view.

My husband and I decided to spend our wedding night somewhere around Boston area. This hotel came up within the price range we budgeted. We booked a river overlook room, but on the first night, they placed us on a 3rd level, with a patio on the outside, which makes it hard for us to see the river. That happened to be the last room that nighy. We told the manager that we pay the extra money to be in the overlook room. The next night, the manager moved us up 6 levels, with direct view of the river. She apologized and gave us complimentary breakfast buffet. The breakfast taste amazing! The server was beyond friendly! On top of that, she even gave us complimentary champange and dessert, thanking us for celebrating our wedding night there. Their services were beyong amazing!
It was nice. Not exactly what my mom had in mind. There was construction near our room, which made it hard to sleep. They gave us a different room. Wendy is so nice!
Room was hot and would not cool down. Window would only open 3-4 inches so we could try and let the heat out. Breakfast looked like any other complimentary breakfast spread except this one cost $20 a person.
They charged my card the same day we checked out for an amount twice what the actual bill was. They said it was the number of nights times the cost of the room plus $50 a night for incidentals. The remainder would be returned in a few days. Why? I'm checking out. We all know the final amount, you know the final amount? This is slimy practice to hold additional funds for a few days for nefarious reasons.
Men's gym steam room smelled like eggs and mold.
Good stuff: Room was clean. Front desk staff was friendly. Door guys were very helpful with directing us to where we should go for food and shopping. Concierge although young, was confident and helpful when making recommendations. The free internet wasn't as slow as I expected and I was still able to get work done without paying for the upgraded connection.
So: Fix your billing practice of charging the card for the wrong amount. Repair the air conditioning in the room so it blows cold (specifically room 707). Bleach the steam shower in the gym. And stop charging for a mediocre breakfast that would be free at a hotel that charged half as much for the rooms.
It was a great stay. The food and hospitality was amazing
Hotel is nice. Furnishings and view are nice, but the hotel itself is getting a little long in the tooth and will need a refresher soon
The hotel was nice and clean so we enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was good with a nice view.
The service was great. They didn't have our room ready right when we arrived so they comped our parking fee and gave us free breakfast buffet passes. The rooms were beautiful with a balcony over the harbor and we could see out across the city. It is a lovely place.
The service is good and the view is great. The location is right beside MIT. The room is renovated and decent. The bathroom is clean and could be more fancier. The hotel offers breakfast package for 20 dollars including breakfast for two and free upgraded wifi. It is a deal!
Great hotel, beautiful views and pretty area to walk around.
Service was great. The location was easy to find and convenient for traversing the city.
Stayed here for two nights for an event. Everything was more than I bargained for. The room I stayed in had one king-sized bed, one bathroom. A nice thin-bezeled TV, an exquisite desk, and a clean modern look to tie everything together awaits you. Can't comment on price since everything was paid for by the event I attended, however.
Clean rooms, good location, and great view of the river.
Had drinks at the bar. The view is great and service was friendly, but the fries were greasy and drinks are just okay
Attended Waters technology days seminar on 16th floor. Setup was good. Presentations were run smoothly. The provided food and drinks were good.
Convenient location to MIT, the Charles River, and more; friendly staff; decent restaurant.
Stayed here for a red sox game. Only a mile or so walk to the stadium, and hotel was great no issues.
Bed is comfortable, room is spacious, tv is massive. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and outdoor area with loungers. Fitness room is off of the swimming pool area. The lobby has a store with snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. Parking is hourly with the option of valet. Overnight parking is $40. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
Lobby area is too small for social conventions, also Cambridge liquor laws are terrible and ruin the cons
I stayed here for one night in June 2018. I thought my room was clean and comfortable.
I stay at this hotel every year in January for the MIT Mystery Hunt. While there are closer hotels, the Hyatt gives us a great group rate. The front desk folks are very friendly and extremely helpful. The shuttle service is excellent.
Friendly and very helpful staff, dealt with a small problem very quickly.
The service was impeccable. We went to celebrate our wedding, and the staff was very attentive and kind to us. We would definitely go again if we were in the area.
Overall a good hotel, not perfect. Looks cool, excellent service and we enjoyed our dinner. Our room was a little musty and made sense when I noticed the worn-out shower leaked onto the floor and spilled into the carpet in the next room. Our room service breakfast was inedible, pancakes that smelled and tasted very strange. However a call to the desk took it off the bill. Again, the staff and service were excellent.
The hotel location is not that good since you cant really walk everywhere. You gotta walk 10 min at least in fast pace to reach to nearest store. Complimentary wifi is great though
Nice hotel, great views, pretty nice restaurant/bar downstairs.
Really interesting architecture and a pleasant overnight stay experience. Convenience to Harvard and other local attractions a plus, especially with free shuttle service available.
Excellent decor. Great view. Very convenient to Boston and Cambridge areas
The hotel was clean and nice. The room we were in was renovated recently. The bath area has a little nook to change in but it was open at the ceiling area to the bed area making it loud to sleeping guests.
I would have given a better rating if it hadn't been for the fact that I left a hardcovered book there and they wanted $26 to return it. Outrageous. Not even reasonable.
Hotel is nice and clean. Staff are very helpful. Elevators are very slow and oddly shaped so they don't hold many people. Rooms are noisier than I'd like. And there is virtually no coffee/food within walking distance. The view of the river is almost enough to make up for all that.
Beautiful views especially sunset. Nicely Central to Harvard and Cambridge. Solid staff
For a company event. Nice environment. Friendly staff. Great food.
Pretty hotel. Charges for parking. Really thin walls and poor breakfast.
The location is excellent, we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to get to while visiting. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The quality of the room and the amenities are consistent with the price paid per night.
Had a tea at the restaurant. Great view of the city!
Great hotel. Needs a tub. Aside from that it was a great experience.
Friendly, clean, OK breakfast.
No easy public transport access.
The hotel was nice. Had a good customer service with nice views.
Limited services nice rooms. The lounge is closed(covid) great location.
The hotel was amazing. Beautifully designed, as expected in Boston. The people were very kind and considerate. If you ever deal with Carlisa Mason, your in good hands! She really went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay. Thanks Carlisa!!!!!
Checked in extremely late and they didn't have the room we had reserved. The room we were put into had an a/c that whined if the fan was on high. The water out of the bathroom tap had black flecks of something in it. Probably should have paid an extra 20/night to stay elsewhere.
Very nice and updated hotel. Parking was rather expensive at $42 a day. So keep that in mind when looking at room rates.
A great place to hold functions, weddings and a quiet dinner. I was able to experience the view at night with the sunset and Boston's skylights. Amazing!!!
Great location for Agganis and paradise Rock Club. Better when the price is not inflated due to Red Sox traffic.
Great balcony room with amazing view. I highly recomend the Hotel.
Very beautiful hotel with excellent service. The room was clean and quiet. They have a convenient shuttle service that provides access to transit and nearby hot spots. The restaurant in the hotel is unsurprisingly a bit pricey but has excellent food.
Clean room. Generally good service. No complaints but nothing amazing
Rooms seemed fine, hotel was very clean, but the in-house restaurant was very, very poor. Slow service, very mediocre food.
I go to the gym there, where they have a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, the sauna and steam room are often broken (one or the other, sometimes both)
A bit tough to get to walking. Has a nice view of the water. The food is amazing. I went for a professional event and it was well orgqnized. A nice space to be in.
Great location. Walking distance to Fenway, MIT, Boston U and more. Great view of the Charles River and crew teams. My official Boston residence when I'm in town.
I attended a reception at the Empress Room and dinner in the ballroom on the top floor, so I can't comment on the lodging at the Hyatt. However, I can say that the views from the Empress Room and the top floor are both spectacular - among the best views of the Boston skyline available anywhere - and the catering services are top notch.
In great area was very near MIT , we could walk and be there in minutes or even get the shuttle .
Beautiful view, older mattresses. Nice food for professional events and nice event rooms though.
Great location. Beautiful view overlooking Boston and the river. Nice shop with long working hours including souvenirs from Boston.
Restaurant was nice, the chicken dish was delicious. Staff very nice with special gift for our newly wed dinner celebration
Was only in the hotel to meet a friend but it was a beautiful hotel
Very neat hotel with wonderful staff and clean rooms. Everyone was super nice and helpful and the food at Zephyr (the hotel restaurant) was fantastic. I loved the view of the river and the indoor atrium.
The hotel is nice but the building layout and parking situation is a mess. I can't recommend this place.
Good stay. Hotel room was clean and staff was very friendly. A little bit old.
The hotel's location is convenient. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly.
Dirty toilet, room smelled, the light on the nightstand didn't have a button to turn it on, floor was sticky, and the TV didn't work. The service was extremely poor. No one answered the phone in concierge services or guest requests- I dialed several times and no answer. Also poor service at the restaurant. Took 30 minutes to swipe my card and close my bill (only ordered two drinks). Thank god we only stayed one night- will not be back.
Great experience. From the valet, concierge, check in and out. Room service. All excellent.
One of my BEST hotel stays EVER ! ! !
Bed 10+++
View 10+++
Bartender 10+
Doormen 10+
Breakfast buffet 9+
Good place and good view. We stayed here for a couple of days when we visited the Harvard and mit campuses. You can walk from the hotel to the campuses or a short cab ride.
Staff very friendly and accommodating!! Room was clean and the free WIFI was a plus. I will rebook at this hotel!!
Nice conference rooms and food. Staff is a bit disorganized
Everything was great! Super comfortable bed and pillows. Only negative rhing is they gouge you on their parking garage.
I was there for a birthday party, very nice rooms, great view and interesting modern design. The only reason it's not a 5 is because the staff kicked us out
Excellent staff, well-kept rooms. Perfect destination for a spur-of-the-moment visit to Boston.
Terrible experience from the minute we walked in and no recompense from the management. Wrote to Hyatt and never received a reply. Beyond disappointed; almost ruined a special weekend away.
It s an ok hotel there is nothing around it so you need a car to get to any kind of activity.
The rooms are spacious however they are dated.
They do have a indoor pool with an sliding roof that opens when the weather permits.
