Loved it! Room was big and the entire hotel was very clean. Up to date on all furniture. Customer service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back again

Nice and clean, friendly staff. Not the best eating if you bring kids.
Nice place, but it felt understand when there was a social event.
Not very reliable shuttle service. Not running a tight shift.
Room was species and clean. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting DC. It's only a 40 minute drive to downtown, very convenient.
The location is convenient for quick access to Wash. Dulles Airport and the rooms are kept clean and orderly. The only downside to the location is the lack of food and entertainment within reasonable walking distance.
Front desk was very accommodating. Rooms were clean.
The event hall was spacious and well organized. Good service.
You can't make this up. Have multiple people from my team at the hotel. I got in after midnight. I called the front desk three times - on hold 5 minutes each - no answer. Fourth time,, I didn't hang up. Got on the shuttle bus. Got to the hotel. And while I was waiting in line - saw the front desk manager hang up the phone - didn't know I was there watching - total on hold time over 11 minutes. I asked if she thought it was acceptable. She at least admitted a) she hung up and b) she should not have done it. Anything beyond that apology? NO! UNBELIEVABLE!
Follow up. Talked to Manager - Jacob Leonard. Now I understand why they have a problem. Told me I was wrong - and that she hung up "by accident." I watched her deliberately hang up. The two guests behind me were as shocked as me. When I said this was absolutely not an accident - he called me a liar and rude. AWESOME!
An excellent hotel with comfortable accommodations and a friendly staff. Expensive, but not unreasonable for the area. Fairly well maintained, though the fixtures show wear. Event Services staff are OUTSTANDING, and very helpful.
The host Ken made me feel welcome with great enthusiasm and customer care. He made the experience feel like home away from home and that Hyatt was happy I was there. It made me want to return. Hyatt is great quality rooms and food.
Hotel was very comfortable and guest services were great. The location is great for the airport but it's away from any restaurants or stores although that allows for free parking unlike the other hotels on the center. Happy Hours is great, very good price for the drinks , the wings are delicious although they don't have boneless but the French fries seasoning is a bit funky. Overall very nice and comfortable hotel with a great staff.
It was alright, but a good alrtight. Nothing to complain about because I didn't notice anything wrong. I just had to visit family from out of town.
Staff was very unattentive and overall lack luster there where only a few servable tables at the time and yet we were given a limited menu due to "over occupancy". We sat at our table for quite a bit of time before even receiving our limited menu......
The room was very clean. Customer service was great.
They will not accommodate you with a new room when there is construction going on literally on top of you and you re trying to catch up on sleep. Mind you we just checked in an hour ago and they are not willing to do anything about the noise or make accommodations. This place is total trash and I will never ever stay here or at any other Hyatt again based on this experience alone. I would have been better off at a cheap motel.
Very nice setup. Spacious event rooms and the service for lunch was very good.
Great place to stay. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Nice room with a comfortable bed and nice TV and A/V setup.
Nice hotel, close to airport, not close to downtown Washington.
The entrance area was very beautiful and spacious and engaging!
I love the hotel as it offers all you need and free breakfast, which is very good including donuts and all kinds of choices! 5 star Hotel for you.
Very very bad pillows and bed can harm your back. You may think that your neighbour is opening your door, noisy when closing.
Very nice rooms. Great location. But breakfast is overpriced.
We stayed here after having a flight get cancelled and it was nice, clean and the staff were very nice.
This hotel has a lovely appearance and grandiose lobby with helpful staff. 1 star loss was due to the hotel check-in took 3 hours total and it was due to this hotel policy. ( Company uses Hyatt exclusively) second star loss was the room itself. They moved me to o a higher floor due to the inconveniences on check in, but the room was not as described from their website or through the agency. The rooms show wear and tear and I am not satisfied. I will be booking back to Hyatt place once this stay has ended.
Very nice hotel, near airport, decent bar, but food and drinks are overpriced
The worse place i ever stayed in ..
bad services , bad behavior from the employees especially at the reception ..
Complicated and very slow even when u pay ..
Im sorry to stay in such hotel..
very clean, plenty of parking, friendly knowledgeable staff
Clean room. Fairly spacious. There were 2 full size beds, and another area with a couch. The lamps are dated. The beds were firm, but still comfortable. The desk manager was very helpful. We liked the extra space in the shower. The 10th floor has a nice view.
My only major criticism? They did not have an included breakfast. For us, when we travel, we appreciate a nice breakfast. I'm sure their breakfast may have been nice, but it was $20 per person. So we just didn't go there.
Was there for a work conference. There were a lot of good places to get work done during breaks. The food was great and so were the snacks throughout the day. It was a great option for our conference.
Great place, nice clean. Great people working here.
Front desk person not very friendly. Expensive restaurant associated with hotel. Not many other eating options.
The hotel did not meet my expectations. I traveled for work for two weeks and encountered the following disadvantages:
The restaurant closes very early and has a very limited menu.
The walls are very thin and you can hear absolutely everything. One night I couldn't sleep directly and they moved me to the quiet floor.
The bathroom is very small and the towels are too.
The room does not have a safe.
The pool is small and indoor, not very pleasant in summer.
The desk is super uncomfortable, a front that lowers a minimum of 20cm that prevents the legs from entering under the table, and even if the chair were lower, the desk would be very high. The chair is not height adjustable and it is not comfortable.
The room has no ceiling lights. Only floor lamps and pedestals, so the light is very little at night.
Although in the room you have a book with everything they offer you to rent, buy or borrow, they do not have any of that. I had forgotten an Australian to American plug adapter and they had neither that nor any.
I would not go back.
Swimming pool was not open everyday of the week. Friendly front desk workers.
This place is a Class Act. Be nice to everyone there, because not everyone is--and underservedly so. They have a FREE shuttle to minutes-away Dulles airport that runs every 30 minutes. Be aware, however renovations are underway. Thus, there is no bar. I arrived very late from Italy and missed a connection, so I stayed here. It was a very welcome oasis. Amongst options near IAD, pick this one!
Had a great stay. Very friendly and wonderful all around.
Convenient airport location, really nice Bar and foyerarea. A high school prom was going on when I visited so I can presume they have nice ball rooms. Guest rooms are a little dated and shower area is cramped with a great reflection of yourself while doing your business if you don't close the door. All in all a great stay.
It was not hard to find when I went to the event. The hotel is very nice and clean and everyone is friendly
Bad shuttle schedule! They do not come if u do not call them! Do not recommend this hotel seriously!
Great venue. Clean and spacious and friendly staff.
Very tranquil. Beautiful property with spacious rooms.
Great hotel.
Room was clean, comfortable, quite, and large. Everything you'd need or might have forgotten was also readily available in the room with plenty to spare. The Internet is also fast and reliable, atleast enough to easily stream video and play online games.
The rest of the hotel is also quite well kept and good looking with a gorgeous fountain full of fish in the center. While I never ate at the restaurant the bar serves a few items, all of which were quite good (crab cake sandwich was my favorite). The food is a bit expensive however. The drinks at the bar also where quite good. If the restaurant food isn't appealing or too expensive than luckily in the office building right next door is a delicious deli that is open from 7-4 Monday through Friday.
The staff also are friendly and accommodating; always willing to help. I wish I could remember more of their names but I do remember Tommy in particular who was friendly and amusing to talk to.
All in all well worth the price despite it being slightly higher than some nearby hotels.
Nice hotel as a Hyatt. Good price. Only issue is elevator is a little dated
While attending a wedding a brides maid left her dress in a room that she had stayed in the night before, the cleaning crew found the dress and had it safe and secure for her once she went looking for it. The rooms were clean, and smelled neutral. Has amazing breakfast options.
Got stuck in DC, no baggage or toiletries. They took care of everything. Great room, great service.
We recently booked the hotel through a third-party site at a great rate, and were very pleased with the experience. The front desk staff were accommodating, allowed me to check-in several hours early and have a late check-out the following day. The room itself was clean, had a nice view, and had lots of little"extras" worthy of the hotel's star rating. Definitely recommend if you need a nice room near Dulles Airport.
UPDATE!!! The Hotel has now lost our payment. I have sent them a copy of our bank statement proving that the check was cashed and they have been calling and harassing me.
If I could give a negative star I would. If you plant to have an event at this hotel READ THIS FIRST! I have been a corporate event planner for 25+ years and this is the WORSE HOTEL STAFF I have EVER worked with! RUN AWAY as fast as possible.
Surprised that the Luray was booked with the finishing time one hour prior to our event starting. Which was not allowing for your staff to turn the room around and for us to set up our stage for our awards, raffle, entertainment, etc. This made for a stressful time prior to our event- we were told that we did not reserve the hallway. Also we were not informed of this until the night BEFORE our event! Then told it is our faults that it was booked!
When asked during our tour if any renovations were planned during our stay, we were told no. Yet, when we arrived renovations were going on and we were told we were not permitted to flush toilets the first night. Also because of the renovations we were told by two different board members that they had been woken up during the night. When we brought this up to the GM we were called liars saying that it could not be true! Why would two different board members tell us that it woke them up? The way the staff treats clients is unbelievable!
BEO s were not until the night before at the restaurant, then we were given the incorrect BEO s and she had to go and make copies of the correct BEOs. The dinner meeting we had with Laura upon our arrival was very uncomfortable to say the least. We had asked for a manager to meet with us and they did not. We did not receive and apology only attitude and accusations the whole time we were there. This was the FIRST TIME I have EVER had to walk out of a meeting with a hotel representative We NEVER received an apology for this meeting, she did not try to stop us the next day a manager was not waiting for us immediately when we came down to apologize. The bar, which we asked to stay open two hours later than your normal closing time, was out of all lite beers, vodka and tequila. Asking for the bar to remain open later than your normal time should have told your bar manager that there would be a heavier demand and to therefore order appropriately. We had numerous complaints that there was not enough beer and the shipment was not due in while we were going to be there. You had to go out and purchase more for our cocktail party, which was still not enough and ran out again. Our guests stated how rude the bartenders were.We had complaints about the coffee in the AM by the restaurant as well, the espresso machine was broken which we understand, BUT there was no sign on it and when you asked you would get a very rude no nothing else when asking to order. There were numerous employees always just standing around behind the bar watching TV and ignoring the customers when there was a line trying to order. During one of the breaks we had asked that the extra bars be removed as we were paying on consumption, as soon as we turned around the staff snuck the bars back out! I do not feel that we should be paying for any of that break as we do not know how many were taken AFTER we asked for them to be removed. During the outside demonstrations we had to go in to find the staff as the break was not set up yet. Once they got it set up they forgot to bring a trash can and we had to ask numerous times for one. I asked for signs to direct my board members to their board meeting and for small seating to be outside the room. I even sent a reminder to Laura, who responded that she would be right over with the signs.. The signs were not there until AFTER we had already started the meeting. Elevators broke, two of our guests were stuck one for 15 minutes and the other 30 minutes.
Service and room we're great and shuttle to the airport was prompt. Lobby bar and restaurant was incredibly sub par, enough that I'm dropping my rating from four stars to three.
The service was excellent and very accommodating. The manager personally saw to our requests
Good service. If its one thing I wasn't too fond of was the pool water was hotter than the jacuzzi
Best experience we have ever had when stay away from our home.
Meeting rooms only: it's great that this hotel is out of the way of traffic, and has a full bar to offer while waiting for rooms to open for events. The rooms offer the typical options, projector, connections, chairs and tables. They are clean, and easy to find.
Was here recently for an event. Staff is very friendly and facilities are very nice. Nicer of the conference centers I've been to.
When I first got to my room, there was animal excrement in the corner under a table. The hotel was very busy because of an airline cancellation, but the staff kept up with everyone somehow. The breakfast buffet is okay, but you're best to get an omelet and waffle so it's fresh.
The dinner options were good, but the hotel is located near several great restaurants.
Hotel lobby was very nice, room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Could use softer towels, and the shower pressure wasn't very strong though. One last comment, the AC vent for some reason points directly at the head of the bed. Overall room temp was fine, but it was very cold when trying to sleep because of that positioning
The location is adjacent to Dulles airport - approximately 2 miles.....ish. My room was spacious and included large (42") TV with cable provided, free internet access (the speed seems to be fairly slow but I did see where there was an option to purchase "high-speed" internet). The staff were nice and responsive when needed. Ordered breakfast for $14 and when the waiter dropped it off the next morning there was a bill for $21. Hidden fee for delivery charge for taking it to the 2nd floor . Wasn't thrilled about that. Anyhow overall good experience but it would be nice if they would crank up the internet speeds for their default wifi service.
Nice Big hotel, very spacious & big rooms. Food in hotel restaurant is average. However staff is polite & they have some pretty good facilities like Gyms & Free shuttle services to & fro between IAD airport & hotel, & even to few offices in the city
While I was only at the hotel for a few hours of sleep during to a missed connection, my experience was great. The front desk was very helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely consider staying there again if I am in the area.
Very friendly, accommodating staff. Spacious, clean rooms and a good restaurant and bar. The hotel also has brand new WiFi and HD TV upgrades. After staying a few months for work, you get to know everyone and they become like family. Whether you're in Herndon long-term or just a night after a missed flight, I recommend this hotel.
