They were amazing with my dog who's terrified of people. They even came outside to give him his shot because he was scared to go inside.

I went to the Humane Society from the time I was a second grader to go to summer camp, all the way until I was an eighth grader. I ve been a camp counselor for two years and volunteer doing service work year round. HSSV is one of the best places to learn and grow and connect with our community. Just before Christmas (2018) we adopted our first puppy from HSSV. The staff were wonderful and helpful and made sure we knew what we needed to before we adopted. The Humane Society of Silicon Valley provides great resources and facilities and is a wonderful place!

People are always nice in here. I just wished they didn't charge so much to use the dog playground.

A animal friendly place. All of the little friends are happily living here and waiting for its dynasty family to bring it home :)

Great place to find friendly animals needing a home. They let you play for awhile with a dog or cat of your choosing without committing to an adoption.

We started obedience classes for our dogs. The trainer is friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. The facility itself is clean and well organized. I m looking forward to the rest of the course!

This is the first shelter I've ever been to and it was absolutely fantastic! The facility is very clean and gives ample space for all the animals and for you to get to know a potential pet one-on-one with some space. I interacted with 4 different staff members (some or all of whom were volunteers) and they were the nicest people and cared about their work there. I would recommend this shelter to anyone looking to adopt their next pet!

Reasonably priced medical services. Limited services but they're pros at what they do.

I love this place. Everyone is always so friendly and ready to answer and questions. They like it too because we in and out really quick.

Even though I live near Campbell, I think all my pets here. They treat our animals great and have great prices.

I adopted a garden cat (very feral) about 5 weeks ago. So far, I have had a terrible outdoor flea infestation. I have asked for support from the Humane Society and gotten a polite, we cannot help you.
I may have to surrender him, which I loath to do. He will not let us approach him, to administer meds (no real surprise there) but he is heavily infested and will re-infest the area again. I have spent 4 days of time, and suffered about 30 flea bites, trying to mitigate the problem with pesticides. I have administered Capstar, one day flea killer to him twice. But unless I can get the topical treatment on his back, I fear another flea infestation.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate some help.
I am disappointed in the support from the Humane Society.

How the hell do they never manage to answer the phone?! I am trying to reach the medical department regarding my cats medical history I left them a message hours ago and still no follow up. I have called in their working hours the adoptions desk with no answer, I have called the pet store with no answer, I have called the customer service extension with no answer...

Place is clean, well organized, HSSV makes sure all adopted animals are in good health, service is professional and helpful. It is a happy people place.

It was my first time going and it was such an amazing experience. The volunteers are very nice and informative. The cats and dogs are adorable. There are all kinds of personalities and ages. Will definitely be going back to adopt :)

There are so many cute animals here. They are all very sweet, but lonely sometimes. I would highly recommend people to go there and check out the animals.

This is the nicest Humane Society facility I have ever seen - this is far beyond the days of fenced cages and outdoor stays. This place is the Hilton of Humane Societies. I feel great supporting this type of home for unfortunate pets.

Rude staff. Blamed me for the death of a cherished pet. Won't return.

Best shelter in the world. This is where dad found me. They have an amazing staff of volunteers who love people almost as much as they love animals. The medical center and the facility are world class, and they've recieved the model shelter award for the US as well. My only complaint is I just wish they didn't have so many cats because I can't stop chasing them.

This humane society location is very modern and clean. The animals have play time together and have a park where they can play. I adopted my 10 yr old chihuahua here and she seemed well taken care of and they have her all necessary vaccinations before she was put up for adoption.

Kind of a bummer that most adoptable dog's I looked at to give a forever home were priced out of adoption,fee is way expensive, Bummer

Nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Can be very busy with a lot of children and dogs walking around. And groups of people hanging around

Today 9/9/2017 i found a dog when i was coming from the mall i stop gave him water and he was nice to me. So i decide it to take him to the humane society here in milpitas and When i got there KAT A WOMAN BEHIND THE DESK ask for my id i provided her with my license however she left me in the room with the STRANGE DOG he stared barking and SGE WAS OUTSIDE TALKING AND LAUGHING WITH OTHER PEOPLE WHO LOOK LIKE WORK WITHING THE ANIMAL SHELTER i got out of the room scared for my life it was a big dog i was really scare and ask her for my license and thanks to her I WONT EVER HELP A ANIMAL IN NEED.. KAT I HOPE YOU ARE NEVER IN THE SITUATION.

Staff seems perpetually stressed but always friendly and helpful.

Staff and Vets are awesome, my Chubby was taken good care of during surgery and after, staff are so polite and respectful. Gave us all info needed and more. Taking our Peaches soon for vaccination. Thank you so much.

Madera animal shelter picked up my dog coyotito and named him "papi" by the time I checked the shelter they already shipped him here lol i got him back the next week and he looked so well taken care of. Thanks to this place for taken care of our family rascal and providing him chip and shots.1

I love this place. This is the place I adopted my first pet. And she was wonderful she listened and was very caring and the staff was kind and helpful so I really recommend going here

They lost my application for a dog adoption, and despite my pleading to give me a day to come in in person and adopt him, showed and gave him away at an adoption event anyway.

The adoption process with HSSV seems to be geared towards generating large number of impulse adoptions at adoption events. There are many other dog rescue groups in the Bay Area that are more interested in making personal matches between dogs and adopters; you're probably better off adopting with one of those other groups than with HSSV.

I am impressed by the dog training classes. This is a world-class facility

Really nice facility. The animals had semi-private rooms with good sound-proofing, and the animals all looked relatively comfortable and calm. I did not schedule a one-on-one with any of the dogs, but the receptionist explained how easy the process was. I'd definitely check out this facility again in the future when I'm ready to adopt.

Great place. We adopted a healthy puppy named Jazz. Very pleased with the services and advices that we have received from the staff at Humane Society silicon Valley. Still have to go through the training lessons received in the adoption process. Highly recommended place for pet adoption. Thank you.

The best pace to adopt kittens, older cats, puppies or adult dogs in the Bay Area!

A very nice place for vaccinating dogs and cats. They have a huge facility. Pets also available for adoption. Spaying and neutering is much more economical compared to other vets.

I used to volunteer at this place and my experience today was just terrible. I found a stray kitty in my neighborhood in Milpitas and I figured this is where I would go if I found a stray. Upon arrival, this guy said, "Sorry we only accept animals from Sunnyvale, you have to take him to the shelter in San Jose." Uhmm then why are you guys located in Milpitas?! I asked, "Could I leave the cat here since I don't have cat food or anything?" The guy was like, "No can do, we mainly do adoption, you don't have to feed him or anything, just drop him off there."

Are you serious? There is an animal in need and you are just turning it away! They say that they care about animals, but apparently they ONLY care if that animal is found in Sunnyvale. I'm so disappointed. I have donated before as well, that will be the last time.

Great animal shelter. It is well kept and open. You can really see that they care about the animals they are fostering. We adopted a female pit terrier from their partner location at the petco in West San Jose. She seemed happy before we were even able to see her.

Staff is fantastic. You can foster animals and foster dogs for a weekend out adventure. Loving and top of the class care and certification. HSSV will do it's best to protect, evaluate and rehab animals before euthanasia. Donations are always welcome.

HSSV is so incredibly caring of the animals in its care as well as the people who come to find their forever furry friend. Excellent animal shelter.

Was having a look to see if we could find another member of the family. Found this adorable little terrier mix called snowball, took a nap on my lap so instant cute points, unfortunately rest of the family wasnt quite ready for another dog but I'm sure he'll find a good home here. The staff are knowledgable and friendly and we will definitely be coming back :)

The facility is very clean. Each room is clean for the animals to stay.

Awesome 10/10. Cats and Dogs are treated, the way they are ment to be treated. It's like a high end University for animals. Most importantly it's the awesome staff's that make the environment fun.

Very nice. The facility was clean and the process was quick and easy The dog we adopted is awesome. I think the assumption of the dog breed was off but none the less he is great.

Best humane society I've ever been to. Had to let go of my little (once 95 lbs) old man. They were like family to us. Plus, building looks like an elementary school! Doggie training course, boarding, grooming, gift shop? Amazing. These people love animals! Yay!

I love coming here to meet the animals. They are all well taken care of and the facility is clean. My one complaint is that if you want to meet a dog/cat, they can take a while to get someone to go with you.
