The worst cell manufacturer out there. The Nexus 6P has been nothing but a headache. Their customer service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend Huawei to anyone. I'm using Samsung now, its worth the extra money.

I have had the Huawei P20 Pro for 2 years now and love the camera, never freezes and very reliable. I regret that after only 2 years I am finally getting EMUI 10 after it was released a year ago and for a flagship device this will be my last upgrade. Regretfully this will be my last Huawei device as I do not agree that after 3 years a flagship device should be cut off upgrades and no trade up value for a new device as incentive.

Phone lasted two months and then somehow "liquid damage" has occurred and will not fix phone. No wrongful use just poor quality control. Waste of 1000$ I would not purchased another Huawei product with a phone that cant stand by its ip68 rating when phone never experienced exposure to liquid. Never had this problem with another device. Poor quality control even worse customer service.

Totally not recommended, stay away from huawei devices, horrible devices technical support and services I wasted my time and money , I had a tablet which is still under warranty bought 5 months ago from the time of writing this review, the device is no longer charging so I called the technical support and they collected my info and sent me carrier stamp to package and send the device to be fixed. after 10 days I didn't receive any calls or emails I called them following up was Friday, they said it is in the way yiu should have it by Monday , if you didn't call us back , I didn't receive the device so I called them and luckly the same guy respoded my call for the first time answered my call and said he remembers me, he apologized and said he escalated it and some one from another department will call me. no one called after couple of days I received an email from future tel with quotation of $185 + tax ESTIMATE REASON
PHYSICAL DAMAGED - MAINBOARD (CHARGING PORT), $35 ANALYSIS/SHIPPING &
HANDLING FEE APPLICABLE IF ESTIMATE DENIED OR NO RESPONSE RECEIVED, YOU ARE
VOLUNTARILY RELINQUISHING YOUR DEVICE IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE/PAYMENT REC/D
WITHIN 30 DAYS , after more than 7 calls and also called headquarters in Markham's and no actual help , I asked to speak with complaint department but they said they don't have.
To get back my device I have to pay the 35 in unscure way by giving my card details to an someone that I know nothing about him, but there are no ways to get your hijacked device without paying this fees , don't be foolled by thier nice voice in the call centre as no actual help, I wish you read this review before deal with them

Huawei stated that it would take 5-10 business days (2 weeks) for my phone to arrive back from repairs (through their company). 2 and a half weeks passed and my phone didn't arrive, I called Huawei and was told that they were not responsible, contact the business that was contracted to repairing my phone. I called and was told I need to pay $360 to fix the phone, which I paid on credit card over the phone. I was told my phone would arrive in a week. A week passed and still no phone, when I called to inquire they stated they had no date on when the phone would be fixed, just wait another week and call. My phone has now been here for over a month, so I've had to pay a $130 phone bill on a phone I can't even use because on these shoddy business practices. Been contacting Huawei for support with this company and they've been no help. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if this business Huawei contracted to do phone repairs was a scam, and if I never see my phone again.

Absolutely terrible customer service. If you live in Canada, I would steer clear of purchasing any Huawei devices. If you have an issue with your device within the warranty period, they are extremely unresponsive. The customer service call centrer people are very polite but can't help you with your phone repair, it's all on the Technical Repair centre in Ontario who you cannot contact directly. I mailed my Mate 20 Pro device in for repair and they mailed it right back to me saying they couldn't find anything wrong, the issue persists and they no longer respond. I would never purchase a Huawei again, it's not worth the discount I got on the phone.

Terrible experience with Huawei. Purchased a brand new Matebook X Pro Laptop 256GB last May from the Microsoft store for $1,630. Started experiencing hardware issues two months after purchase ...laptop would not turn on periodically, non-stop reboot cycle. Had countless interactions to fix the device with Microsoft; even had it sent out to Huawei for repair in December which took 5 weeks and the issue was not fixed properly and I started to experience the exact same problem 3 weeks later. All Microsoft stores were closed due to Covid for months and the locations in Toronto are closed indefinitely. Reached out to Huawei on July 22nd to have my device shipped to them for repair. They presented me an estimate of $728.85 to repair my device out of pocket because it's now out of warranty due to a "defective mainboard". If I do not want to pay the $728.85 (the device is only worth maybe $900 at best) it is $35 just to get the laptop back.
A year and a bit later, with documentation of the issue with this product since I bought it, and they won't do anything for me after being on the phone with customer service for about an hour. Spoke to supervisor Adrian V (wouldn't provide full last name), and no solution was provided.
STAY AWAY FROM HUAWEI. Buy yourself a product from a company that actually cares about their customer, and has OUTSTANDING (not mediocre at best) customer support.

Very dissatisfied with the customer service that i have received from Huawei. Purchased a Huawei Mate RS for $2500 and the microphone stopped working. Huawei will not support my product because it was purchased in Europe and i currently reside in Canada. Terrible production quality and even worse customer service.

After only 3 months of utilisation, my P20 Lite almost caught on fire. I always charge it with the original charger, and I never dropped it or anything like that. The waranty procedure is really complicated, and I did not have a good customer service with them. I don't recommend these phones to anyone!

Huawei service day June/27 - June/29. I went to Phone MD Markham. They gave me a cheap thin film with full of scratches. I went back and installed with full of bubbles. I removed it immediate and discard the film. You would expect them to install half decent quality Screen Protector for you. So disappointed. Oh, they actually asked you to sign about 5 pages before they give this cheap film. Dont waste your time.

I am very dissatisfied with my P20 cellphone. I bought my cell phone to make video and so far so good. Everything suits me but I can not record sound with my lapel microphone ??? so what's the point of taking videos without sound ??? the sound of the phone is not suitable at all! The support tells me that it is impossible with my P20, I should have chosen a P20 PRO so why not have me better advised FIDO? The responsibility is with the saleswoman and also with the manufacturer. So will I go back to Samsung? !!

My son's earbuds stopped working for no apparent reason a couple months after we got them. I contacted Huawei to repair them as they were under warranty. Huawei confirmed the warranty and I shipped them the earbuds. A few days later, I received an invoice from Futuretel, whom I had never heard of. I contacted Huawei to ask why my earbuds were sent there without my knowledge or consent and why I was receiving an invoice for something under warranty. Huawei said I would need to contact Futuretel. I contacted Futuretel, who advised that there was corrosion on the earbuds, not covered under warranty and that there would be a penalty fee if I don't proceed with the repair quoted. I again contacted Huawei and explained that my son literally used them only to listen to Youtube videos, no way there was corrosion. A day later, Huawei emailed me a picture of earbuds, and a case, covered in a disgusting yellow substance and claimed that was evidence of corrosion. There was no way the item pictured was what I sent them and if it was, they had manipulated the item themselves. They were clean, white, no signs of visible damage when I sent them. I explained to Huawei that wasn't what I sent them and all of a sudden, they couldn't speak English and couldn't hear me properly. The person I was speaking with demanded that I produce an image of the earbuds I sent them. Not knowing how shady and dishonest they were, I hadn't taken any photos. I will never buy from Huawei again. Worst company EVER.
