Person service from Mary Bunnell and past years helpfulness

In 2004 I had these clowns figure my taxes at their Lawrence Business location on Wakarusa that was supposed to be dedicated to helping business owner's. They said I owed $80,000 for the year in federal taxes which seemed unreal. Sadly I had to sell 3 rental properties to cover the bill. This severely set me back and in 2005 I took my 2004 taxes to 2 CPA'S to review and H&R Block had figured $32,000 over what I actually owed. I had the CPA amend my taxes but I would never recommend this company to anyone they damaged me and they hire people who are rookies who do not know the tax laws.

Will most definitely return next year. My service was Quick, fast and informative!

Mary Hansen is an absolute gem! Her expertise, professionalism and humanitarianism. I had received a letter for the IRS. Ms Hansen assured me everything would be just fine. My history of filing taxes has never be a good experience. One reason is that I never/rarely receive a refund. Thank goodness I had more than enough taxes deducted to cover any expenses. The location was very accessible and close to home. I can't thank Ms Hansen enough.

I have been working with Mary for at least two decades and I m comfortable with her.

Our tax professional, Zack Beyer, has always been so quick and attentive working on our returns. We've had a lot of tax changes in the last few years (homeownership, new babies, freelance business) and he's done a great job helping us sort all our taxes out!

HRB has made it easier to sign and finish documents and Mary Hansen is sharp and efficient, explains things well.

Because I went in to file my taxes I was told they were completed it was all set and I would have them within 21 days 28 Days Later I returned to H&R Block to find out why I have not gotten my taxes and they were not completed the payment arrangement that was said prepared correctly and I still not received my taxes more than 30 days later still have another 21 days to wait again

Made an appointment and wasn't helped out until 2 hours later.

Inconsistent service and unprofessional staff. Front desk is a mess and their inability to follow appointments leaves you wondering why you even went to their Headquarter's main client office. I would not recommend their services and going forward I'll use other options for tax services. I would give them zero stars if possible.

Loved the service. Mary Hansen was awesome and answered all my questions. She did a great job walking me through my return. My only reservation that may prevent me from returning was the price - $173 for a relatively simple filing.

I like working with Linsay Wood he's the main reason I return every year.

It's a little embarrassing that this feels like the only way to get ahold of this office. I've been trying to schedule an appointment today and the phone line asks me for a password??? The online system tells me that my usual person has appointments available, but after trying to confirm, it never makes it past the "processing" step. I called the 1-800 number, and they were just as confused as I am. They couldn't book any of the the appointments either. And they were baffled when they tried the 5500 number and were asked for a password. I called in late March and was told I would be contacted but didn't hear back. I hope I can edit this in the future with a positive outcome.

Working with our Tax expert; Mary Bunnell, we made adjustments to my withholding's and this year our taxes came out just right. Thank you Mary for the great advice, and for making this a great experience.

Been almost 5 days no nothing on my taxes and she never filed my taxes on that day at all and don't do the 3000 loan #ripoff no text or email about it they take ur 40 bucks and run ! Oh and no way of finding out if u get it or not no one to call and no place to check rip off just found out she never filled them yet ! Almost 500 bucks for nothing !!!!

Excellent service. Very knowledgeable Tax Professional especially on rental property documentation. Additional deductions was found .State/Fed E-file with tracking options. Very reasonable cost of service.

I love Pat! She always answers my questions in full in ways I can understand. I will always go to H&R block, it's mildly pricier but the quality if is great then I don't mind.

The H & R Block representative who worked with me, Lindsay Wood, was excellent and I felt very satisfied with his knowledge and demeanor.

Our Tax Professional Christina Carpenter has been amazing. We started going to her 3 years ago and our taxes were a mess. Since then she has coached us and worked with us to bring us closer to the 0 line every year and every year we get closer and closer. This year we were within $150 of the line and we couldn't be happier with her help. We have gone to different place for taxes over the years and have never had anyone take the time to help us plan ahead for the next year like Christina has. I could go on and on about how great she is at her job. We look forward to working with her next year.

Terrible customer service. Horrible fees. Their so called pros forget to file my Jackson county taxes. When i notified them they tried to say that I didn t buy their piece of mind service at an additional fee. So there was nothing they could do. I had to escalate the situation to get them to pay the penalties and fees I incurred. This company is a joke

Mary Bunnell is fantastic. She took her time to explain things to me. She gives excellent advice. I feel like I am truly in the best of hands when she does my taxes.

Mary was thorough and double checked all the facts. She was very personable and we enjoyed our appointment with her. Very satisfied with our experience and will return to this H&R Block next tax season.

H&R Block is the worst tax company to use. Their tax preparer didn't include a W2 that I gave her during the appointment. I paid for Peace of Mind $40 extra. H&R Block refuses to refund the total tax due because of their error. John Broad from this location was as rude as rude can be. I've submitted complaints with BBB and reviews elsewhere. BE WARNED, Peace of Mind means nothing to them. You will be left holding the bag because of their errors. Their "Peace of Mind" guarantee is a SCAM.

Mary always does a great job on our taxes. She's timely and efficient and helpful. Appointment was right on time.

Pat was amazing. Now she is out of the office and literally no one answers and I can t even stay on hold or leave a message. I have called 5x this week and last week. No answer!!! Very frustrating and makes me not want to use H&R due to not being able to contact them. Again Pat was amazing but no one else answers!!

My appointment started on time. The office provided coloring pages and crayons to keep my kids busy so I could focus on my taxes.

Mary is phenomenal, she goes above and beyond excellent service, she is a wealth of knowledge, with an incredible team!

This experience has been nothing less than horrific. I came in to pay two years of not filing, and paid as it was prepared, got additional letters from the IRS, went in to pay 2016 on Thursday, had another nightmare experience, and my girlfriend today got overcharged, after being told the owner said no more discounts. There was no discount to begin with. Not only was she ripped off, but the lies. There is no owner. I called an hour ago asking isn't this a corporate location, as they all are, and the woman said, well we do have a new manager. These agents stink as they are afraid to get in trouble if they don't follow things to the letter. Accountants are supposed to be creative, and try to help. These people are weak at best, and then overcharge, and lie on top of it. It's worse than I'm even describing. I'm livid, and will be calling corporate on Monday. If others have had similar bad experiences this could be a class action suit. Rating from us is a minus two

Friendliness, cleanliness, professionalism, courtesy, all shown at this location. Lindsay was so kind and knowledgable. I have already scheduled an appointment with him for next year. I was very pleased with my service.
