Houston Marriott Energy Corridor Hotel Review

Always a great time staying here. Great staff and nice rooms.

Pretty disappointing. I booked through Hotwire, so I only paid about $60 a night. Even for that price, staying here still isn't worth it. Tacky, outdated decor. The ice machine on my floor was broken. Meh quality food at mid-range pricing. Imagine someone unsuccessfully trying to do Chilli's-type food, but add a 40 minute wait (for two sandwiches, chips and dip!), and for some reason a 20% surcharge? I ended paying $40 + tip($50 total) for the three things listed above. Small rooms straight from the 70s with a nice view of a car lot. There's absolutely no way anyone should pay the advertised $89/night. If hotwire wasn't "no refunds" on the hot rate hotels I wouldn't stay the second night. The service is good, but these poor employees don't have much to work with. Btw, Hotwire said this was a 4 star hotel, Google says 3 star. I'll give it 2.

Located close to many professional offices. Rooms are nice. Restaurant on-site has great food. Staff is very friendly and helpful .

The location was convenient. I'm not sure aboutthe rooms. Didn't stay overnight. The service was decent from my short experience

The Marriott Energy Corridor is a cheerful and colorful hotel straight on the I10 near Houston's Energy Corridor. Great lively expansive highway views from the rooms. Pleasant sunny pool and jacuzzi area with a nice gas fired open fire. Rooms comfortable and pleasantly brightly decorated. Friendly helpful staff. Small gift and sundry shop on site as well. Free parking on-site of course.

A simple Marriott, little older. Rooms have been nicely refurbished, make sure to not get a room facing the interstate.

Booked 7th floor online (their app) concierge for easy access issue. Got 5th. When you say you gonna provide something, you do it. 10 cars in parking lot so availability not the issue, AT ALL. I guess I like places that honor what they sell. Other than that hotel is nice, clean room, friendly staff, room service etc. I guess the Marriott at the medical center downtown raised my expectations. Going to try competitor next round. Try it if you a place to stay, if you have a floor preference then who knows.

Very nice hotel. Great place for a large event like a conference, party or even a wedding. Would definitely recommend if staying in this area of town

Room is hot. Sheets are beyond scratchy. Had to wait to find someone to make a coffee in the morning. Gave up waiting for waiter in the bar to order dinner. Other than being understaffed the hotel is clean.

Good place, the air conditioning is very strong for me taste. Great the television on the internet.

Check in was seamless, Jacki the Front Desk Agent was lovely, absolutely all smiles and sweet as can be - and the room was the usual level of great. Although the conjoined rooms aren't my favorite, our stay with the Marriott was perfect, per usual.

Overall: this hotel was very comfortable. The rooms were clean and cozy. The service was amiable and pleasant.

Stay far far away from this hotel way overpriced no Coke products and very rude Asian at front desk needs to be introduced to a tooth brush and some breath mints very poor representation of a pricey hotel. Oh yea WiFi not for standard room which cost $232.00 per night with tax no complimentary breakfast either room air condition not adequate, you can't adjust the thermostat. Bar doesn't carry Coke for mix drinks very poor judgement exclusive contract with Pepsi (go figure) without coke products why why have a bar ? Food very expensive $50.00 for party of three for sandwiches. Iam leaving this hotel holding tightly to my wallet, true version of highway robbery. Without the luxury, one handicap parking space in front WHAT. WiFi is not free!!!!

Was ok but do not get a room by the freeway! It's all you hear! They do provide earplugs but that's really the only down fall to my stay. The staff was very friendly and facilities were clean!

All sorts of issues, smells, etc. Don't have the time or desire to list them all. If you travel for work and have a high status like me, pick somewhere else. I've almost stayed at every Marriott and a handful of SPG down here and this does not make my list.

Decent place if you're working in the energy corridor. Good proximity to most of the major oil and gas companies off Eldridge Pkwy. Clean rooms, and attentive staff at the bar.

I've come here a few times for business. Great hotel, staff is kind and helpful. Only problem is that I don't go to the Katy area anymore.

My room has been terrible. I paid extra for a larger room on the concerge floor. I have been up all night with highway noise. I even have ear plugs in! Also, the room is hot. The A/C vent is directly over the thermostat. This means i have to put it on 55 to get the room to 75. I have stayed at several hotels in the area and this is the worst.

Modern construction (recently built) hotel. Tiny lobby. Still red and gold theme. Lots of highway noise. Room doors don't go all the way to the ground so lots of hallway noise. Great location. Concierge lounge is nothing special. All in all a Marriott that some how feels very industrial and for business travelers only

Very nice stay. Room was nice and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. I don't the know young lady name at the front desk but she was such a sweetheart. My husband and I had been driving through the night and was very tired and she allowed us to check in early.

My buddy said this place was top notch. Figured I'd share.

I stay here about once a month. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The facilities are very clean and the hotel is conveniently located to my work location off of HWY 6.

What a great place!! So great, we have stayed there 3 times previously just to get away from our house for the weekend and itt is about 10 miles from our house. Since it is so great, we are having our guest this weekend book their rooms there for our wedding!!!!

It is a bit out of the way, but the staff were really pleasant, and everything was quite nice. The only thing I wished that it had was a microwave.

Room was clean. Bar is nice. It's located right off the highway with nothing within walking distance.

The higher floors are definitely better but I always enjoy my stay at this hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Nice property. Convenient location. Concierge level was well-stocked (although the cake offered during check in at the front desk was better than any of the desserts offered in the lounge). Clean rooms. Certain rooms have a separate bedroom without a window - which minimizes the noise from the freeway.

My family and I have been truly blessed with staying at the Houston Marriott Energy Corridor, which was home to from Oct 2, 2017 - Feb 28, 2018, while we rebuilt our home after Harvey. The local staff there have been exceptionally accommodating and our 3 young boys miss the friends they made since we checked out.

On a professional side, I have stayed at many properties around the world and for travelers who visit the Houston Energy corridor, I highly recommend staying here. It is clean, convenient, and comfortable. The staff is attentive and responsive, and the experience has the right mix of a relaxing and work friendly environment.

The staff and management there are unorganized, liars, and unproductive.
I had all my wedding guests stay there for my wedding in March. When reserving their rooms, SEVERAL guests asked if they can get a double bed since the reservations didn't state for sure whether it'll be single or double. Diff staff had promised SEVERAL of my guests that it would be of no problem that they get two beds.
Well, when we arrived for check in, we found out they were hosting a ladies basketball team there that weekend and NONE of my guests could get double beds in their room. So yes, they LIED by telling my guests they could get double beds when none of them actually could.
There was two diff managers there at the time and took us at least 30 min to speak to one. After me telling her about the situation her response was, "by the way your planner never called me back when I called her about the address of your wedding venue". What does that have to do with my problem?! She sounded so incompetent, it just made me angrier.
So they ended up putting in fold out beds in everyone's room at no charge and knocking about $10 off their rate (after they check out). This made me not want to deal with another marriot again.

Stayed 2 nights. Horrible customer service. Veronica was so very rude, she embarrassed me and my family in front of a dining room full. Don't waste your money here. Just checked out and will not return! No manager available to speak with.

Lost my electric tooth brush that I had been used for 7 years

I have to say this was the friendliest staff that I have encountered at any hotel. Everyone was very nice, helpful, pleasant and considerate. Will definitely stay here again when I'm down here for business. And would definitely recommend to others as well. Very enjoyable stay!

Excellent event venue. Great staff, easy to work with. Food is very good. I highly recommend them for business luncheon events.

Went there , my wife's vehicle got broken into during daylight hours. Hotel did NOtHING! Also they don't have cameras anywhere so beware . If a crook will steal in daylight at a place , he feels really comfortable knowing he's not going to get caught. Ps . After being robbed , we still had to pay for our stay which was cut short. Don't stay here!

Hotel is great and perfect location! The issues i had was with their door key system. I had to change rooms and even after changing the room, key had to be remake several time. And yes i did not kept the key next to other device or my cell phone. Overall its a great location!

Does this Hotel have Breakfast everyday and on Saturdays and Sundays too.
Do they have the Happy hour refreshments and snack Meal...at the hotel itself or do we have to Order and pay extra....
