Good hotel, its location in Tavira city center and quality service

Hotel with nicely furnished rooms, of which we unfortunately have a dark room facing north and a covered balcony that is directly connected to the roof of an extension at parapet height, so that you feel more like in a basement apartment. Despite buffet times until 10 p.m., tables that had become vacant and the direct seats on our 4-person table were cleared from 8.30 p.m. and set for breakfast.

I liked the friendliness of the staff although it was very strange to have paid the entire stay when checking in. I really appreciated the decoration that brings us back to the Arabic style. Large rooms with balconies that allow you to enjoy the good Algarve weather. Excellent breakfast with huge variety and quality. Too bad were the queues right on the first weekend of August. The swimming pool and the surrounding space allow you to enjoy your leisure time in peace. For those who want to go to the beach and not take a car the pier is a 5 minute walk.

The hotel is on a very busy street. It is very loud. Our towels were changed on the second day and then only the trash was removed for a week. The food was okay but almost always the same, hardly any change. Disinfectants were everywhere, great care was taken to wear a mask and keep your distance. This hotel is okay for a few days, but we wouldn't go on a long vacation

We came to massage in the spa and we loved the space! 5 star massage! To repeat and stay here some nights! It should also be extremely enjoyable in winter! Highly recommend! Very good to relax!

Good experience ... the rooms could be better but ....

Despite being 4 stars it has all the amenities of a 5 star hotel ... in fact I've been 5 * worse than this 4 *

The charming hotel. Excellent rooms with excellent mattresses and pillows. Good soundproofing. The enclave 5 minutes from the historic center of taboos and 2 minutes from the pier to catch the boat that will take you to the island. As for the attentive and friendly staff. great ... and the food very balanced. a cozy and perfect place to get out of the routine and get lost in its streets ..

Nice hotel, situated near the river, that flows through the old centre of Tavira. Great pool area with bar.

Very nice hotel very well placed staff very nice ... the only problem during our stay indoor swimming pool and spa under construction so no access and no gesture offered in compensation. ...

Booked with Vila Gales online booking system which accepted our booking only to arrive based on that booking to find the hotel closed with bookings being moved to another hotel. The booking was made on the morning that we were to arrive. Update hotel has apologized and offered compensation for next booking.

Friendly beautiful place think it's were the locals holiday. Not for anyone wanting nightclub English Red Lion type pubs. Most definitely would go again best relaxing holiday I have ever had . weather was the best .. .sunbathing for 10 More

Perfect place for a family vacation, the attention of the exquisite staff

The hotel is very good and the pool is great, but they didn't make the rooms any of the days we were. And that we left at 9:00 and returned at 16:00. And I don't mean only ours, but more than half of the hall rooms. Too bad, because the hotel is very cool, they are very friendly and the facilities are very good.

A beautiful hotel with magnificent facilities, to highlight the very complete and constantly replenished breakfast buffet.

We tend to come frequently, when it is not high season.

I went there a few years ago, it is a nice hotel. He lacks only one soul. I do not know how he evolved. I would like to go back there ;-)

Great hotel in Tavira, visited in August so very busy but staff friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and food relatively inexpensive for hotel prices, would definitely recommend.

Excellent place. Well located, good food, and well maintained

Quiet and comfortable in September. Next to the Ria de Formosa the population is lovely. Very friendly professional staff.

A bit dated, but still a good option when staying in Tavira.

The hotel was excellent. Only what really bothered, were in almost all rooms when opening and closing two times loud banging doors.

We only stayed one night but it was great. The treatment, the breakfast, the cleaning, the animations of the pool, in general we were very comfortable.

Very friendly staff and very accommodating receptionists. The spectacular breakfast buffet, with show cooking. As a suggestion I would put the oil in jars with a stopper instead of a dispenser, since it stains you when you pour it and also the orange juice was not natural. We only used the spa one day, we went in the afternoon and we were practically alone. We really enjoyed it.
The cleaning in the room of 10, the only downside is that the room faced the west so it got all the afternoon sun in full and it was very hot and we had to close the curtains.
If we return to Tavira, we will stay here again.

Hotel quality - very competitive price in Tavira. Well located. The nice common areas. The indoor and outdoor pools complete the services very well.

Easter holiday very tiring .. We had 2 rooms with worn bedding, the beds are wobbly bedsprings and mattresses are HS, I add that the lifting of garbage every night between 1am and 2am and the hotel picks them up at 7 !

Otherwise the hotel is very clean and the staff is on top, the management has not yet responded to my email.
I do not recommend this hotel because the nights are very short!

What they sell is what they have, cleanliness and food quite well.

Nice hotel, with outdoor and indoor pools, restaurant, etc. As some other reviewers said, it is a little outdated but still very nice, and most importantly spotless and well maintained. Staff is great. Easy parking and surprisingly close the everything.

Facilities, service and rooms are grand. Let down slightly by food.

Elegant but I find it an externally cold hotel with no movement of people and people.

I give it 3 stars since when I was with my husband they put me in a room for the disabled, without being neither of the disabled, and it was so big that it never got hot, in February I was very cold.

The 4 * hotel is overrated! Even the area around the hotel is depressing: from the terrace I looked directly at the black, dirty roofs of an old, disused fish factory, instead of - as expected - sea or. Old town view!

When it rains (which is not uncommon in Portugal, in springtime) the balconies are flooded with rainwater; they are closed on the sides with a kind of grille and the like. Have direct contact with neighbors on the balcony, unfortunately, no necessary intimacy (go out on the balcony to get some fresh air, there is your neighbor next to you, whom you have to greet ...).
The walls are thin, the beds - old, the resulting acoustics - excellent: you can hear the squeaky beds of the pleasant neighbors.

The hot water pool is wonderful!

Nice hotel large room as we were traveling with a small child and it was a bit cooler on some afternoons was the small indorpool very pleasant. The location on the edge of the old town was ideal the ferry to the beaches is reached in about 4 minutes.

This was my first night and so far has been a good experience. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. I think the only thing that displeased me is not to provide free parking for customers, after all the customer comes for vacations and already enough day to day life where you have to worry about where to park and the holidays should be the opposite. By doing math, overall the result is positive. (I.e.
