We literally were robbed in your hotel of about 2500 euros and 100 American dollars. We only found out at the airport and emailed the concierge email address provided and haven t heard anything back. We were in room 438 from July 9 through July 13. Money must have been taken between 11th and 12th

Perfect location. Standard rooms are nothing particularly interesting. Breakfast is good. Of the minuses - when the pool is closed after the hammam, there is nowhere to sit down to relax. Places are available only for massage visitors.

Perfect location, but still not worth it with respect to standard if you pay full price. Nice spa lounge and helpful staff.
Edit: hotel charged us with goods from minibar that we had not taken after we had checked out . Complaint was sent but not followed up by concierge. Too bad they can't be trusted on such a thing, while the money was no big deal, the principle is.

The front office staff is good: kind, friendly and respectful. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. Location is very good: right across the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries, very close to Decorative Arts and Louvre Museums.

The only negative experience for us was: On our last day at the hotel (7 Oct. 2017, Saturday) when we came back to our room in the evening, my own slippers were gone. It was my pair of wool slippers that I bought from Zara Home. Since they disappeared after the room was cleaned, we suspected that the housekeeping man/woman who cleaned our room on that day stole them. Your housekeeping staff need training in terms of honesty.

Hotel is definitely not worth the 4 stars. The location is great and the staff are friendly but the hotel itself is highly disappointing. Don t be fooled by the photos. My bed was broken. No central air con. Instead there s a movable unit with a big hose fling out the window. That means you have to sleep with your window open if you want any ventilation.., as does everyone else with adjacent rooms. No iron in the room. Took them 7 hours to bring one once requested. Wifi doesn t work well in the room... the list goes on... don t waste your money here. There are plenty of other beautiful hotels in Paris where you will do better.

We got a pretty small room with neighbours we could hear too well. Think we got the "kids room" since we choose split beds, which kinda put down the experience. Saw some of the other rooms were way better. Otherwise it was a great hotel.

We stayed here for 12 nights on two separate visits in September 2019. Both visits were excellent. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good. The food at the restaurant was also very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, near the Lourve and the d'Orsay less than an hours walk to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame. Plenty of shopping close by. Excellent hotel.

Hello,

Hello,
We stayed from 23/12 to 25/12 in this hotel accompanied by a small dog. We had forgotten to take a bowl to put water at the disposal of the latter, the reception will answer us that there is nothing planned ... For a supplement of 30 per day, it is unacceptable especially as we will find 100 meters further at the buffet a stack of bowl ....
If you are looking for the ideal location, this hotel located in the center of Paris is for you, but if you are also looking for the comfort of a good night's sleep ... AVOID ... the soundproofing is non-existent (noise from the street, the corridor and other everything is there!).
Overall, a good stay but a service unworthy of a 4-star hotel. We will not be returning to this hotel.

Nice location steps from Vendome and Louvre, though to get to hotel you have to walk through cheap souvenir stores and homeless people. Seems like the last renovation and cleaning in this hotel happened when Haussmann was still alive. Rooms are filthy: very unmaintained, dirty carpet, broken tiles on the floor, door in the shower was not closing properly, so there was always flood around, shower had mold on the shower handle. Staff is completely unable to answer any question. It tool them more than an hour to bring toothbrushes to the room. The original room had almost no windows. Had to change rooms: one was smelling like a public toilet, another like an ashtray. We were very tempted by the photos, kind of it was imaginable it is not a fancy design perfect hotel, but the reality is that anything about this hotel is acceptable. For almost 300$ per night for superior room this is a torture and waste of money.

The St James Albany spa: the perfect place for a luxury relaxing break just a stone's throw from the Tuileries.
The pool is hot. It is absolutely necessary to arrive before the time of its treatment to be able to benefit from it. We also go through the hamman to eliminate toxins.
The treatment rooms are very large and afterwards you can enjoy a tea and fruit break.
A nice parenthesis

The location is great, as it is located right next to the Louvre and other Sights. The staff is very nice and the service is great, as well as the food that can be delivered to your room. Overall a great place if you are planning to stay in Paris over night.

Comfortable rooms and a great location. The reason I am leaving this 5 star review, however was the concierge. He was very helpful and friendly. He recommended us some great restaurants and helpfully managed to get a fan for me when I asked.

Let the pictures of the homepage fool us!

Let the pictures of the homepage fool us!
The only good thing here is the location, but that's about it. The hotel has had its best days. The rooms have an old brown carpet and only a view of the back yard. The bathroom is under water after every shower and has mold spots. The toilet was so small that you could just sit there. You have to say that we had a superior room! On the way to breakfast we go through a construction site into a noisy overcrowded room, to small tables with sagging and completely scratched chairs. The SPA area consists of a somewhat cold swimming pool and a steam bath. If you don't book a massage, you are immediately scared away from the relaxation area and the tea is removed again (again, superior room with access to the SPA!) 400 per night in a 4 * hotel definitely looks different and is also here in this one Part of Paris completely exaggerated and overrated.

My room was not at all as pictured on the site. It was extremely outdated and felt unclean due to that fact. Additionally, the AC had a hose coming through the window, which had to be open, so it made the room very noisy. Overall, not at all as advertised other than the location, and not worth the cost. Very disappointing.

Very well received although I waited a little, I found the room small, low ceiling and poorly soundproof with the outside (123). I asked twice for an ironing board and I never got one. Otherwise the hotel itself is very nice, very well placed and the staff very nice if not very effective. I hesitate to go back down there. We'll see!

Frankly the general condition of the hotel leaves something to be desired. It is said in the description of the rooms that they are soundproof and well it's a lie. The hotel deserves a serious facelift.

Pleased by our previous visit to this hotel, we were very disappointed this time by the benefits (length of stay: 3 nights):
* regarding cleanliness, several stains on the carpet of the room (room 253); hair in the bathtub when we arrived, a paint that starts to get dirty and a TV that pixelizes as soon as we go beyond the first 3 cable channels
* Regarding the SPA, whatever the hours, it was always necessary to ask for towels for the pool; the stock was never renewed, dirty handkerchiefs under the deckchairs of the pool ... staff on the other hand very welcoming SPA.
* Regarding catering, the room service is fast and consistent with expectations ........ However, we tested the restaurant: lack of cleanliness of the table with a plate for bread largely chipped, salt spread on the table set ..personal seems on the nerves (the waitress was very upset at having to answer the phone because of the repeated absence of the butler seems you). We were offered an appetizer that I did not even have time to finish because our dishes were already ready to be served so that we finished our cocktails appetizers by eating our dishes! The beef tenderloin was not tender while blue cooking and The dessert: poached pear was straight out of the fridge and not cooked; when the gourmet coffee, the server was not able to tell us its content to order. The butler can be welcoming. service so very disappointing and a price that is not related to the proposed quality.

Fantastic location, and great hotel as well. The service was impeccable, and I could not ask for more. The room was clean and quiet. I stayed in room 629 which had 2 small outdoor areas which opened up to the room and bathroom. A late night wine was had, and most enjoyable in the Paris night.

I'm sorry for writing out such a bad review, but I couldn't enjoy my stay at all! If I can call it a stay..
I arrived with my boyfriend, who doesn't speak a word french, at 12 since we booked and paid for early check-in.
The lady at the counter told me the room is not ready, we should return at 3pm,even after I showed her the confirmation. She was quite unfriendly and impatient, since I had to translate her french for my boyfriend in english.
So, we left and returned at 3pm.
But we had a really bad surprise..
Even though I had booked a suite with view over the Louvre we got one facing the courtyard. The room was old and had multiple stains on the floor and on the sheets..
We were promised a nice, newly renovated bathroom but that was definitely not the case as you can see in the pictures.
We were very disappointed and didn't want to stay any longer so we went to downstairs to the concierge to say we want to check out, not even staying the night.
It was another lady, who saw that we hadn't slept for the night and she only commented: 'Oh, you' re already leaving? You don't want to stay the night?' We said, no the room is dirty, we received the wrong one, wrong view, old and not pleasant at all.
She didn't think of suggesting us a change in rooms or giving us the one we booked!!
I'm glad we left!
The only plus was the super nice guy, who was responsible for handing out umbrellas!

Very good welcome and service at the top ..! For the rooms I can not note because we were not in the hotel part but in the apartment part that is suitable for families .. besides the apartment side is old .. but very large area well equipped with living room 2 bedrooms including a with integrated bathroom, a kitchen with microwave and washing machine if you want to wash your own laundry .. a suitable pool with spa but beware the new ones are not accepted because of security so for us it was a bit of a hassle at this level there ..

Wonderful hotel and location. My 2 daughters and I were there this last summer and it was lovely. The staff were great. Always very nice and helpful. Our room was perfect. We had a junior sweet and it was 2 stories. A king upstairs and a queen pullout downstairs. A absolutely huge room, especially by European standars. The bed and the pillows were heavenly. I have a bad back and was really concerned but I slept great every night. We were there for 11 nights and never a problem. The location was a perfect walking distance to so many attractions and very close to public transportation. I would love to go back again today if I could but I certainly hope to stay again in the future!

What a desappointment! A very high price for a delivery well below expectations. The exterior is misleading because the rooms and corridors are in urgent need of cleaning and renovation (it is believed to use the service corridors). Obviously the old air system hidden in cupboards that are from another era take up a lot of space and no longer works. So there are mobile air conditioning in every room.
We also had to wait about 45 minutes for the recovery of our luggage while we said that we were in a hurry to be prepared for an important event. I had to go twice to get the luggage delivered to our room.
During this stay a complete set of Bose headphones disappeared while they were in one of the baggage so long to reappear (coincidence?)
And finally to top it all the bill was incomplete and it was necessary to insist once gone, to get the correct bill.
The cocktail bar and the bartender are however very nice.

Clean and tidy, with generally helpful and friendly staff, except when we asked for more Tbags, we were told you are only allowed 1Tbag per person, per day, and only 2 little pots of creamer, which we thought very mean considering the cost of the room. Situated close to the Louvre and other attractions it is OK for a short break, the bed was comfortable but I found it to be rather noisy and therefore hardly slept, I'm happy to be going home for a good nights rest.

Reception was good to me, as I did not like the first room I was offered, #103. I then went to room 431 which was fine. I don't particularly like your telephone-douche for showering, and your bathtub is a little too steep in parts. But those are minor complaints. The 2 breakfasts I had were just fine and overall the stay was very nice, the room comfortable, the service requested [ 1 wake up call] was perfect, and your location, as always, great. And the price was a pretty good one. Thanks very much, greg

Very nice place, pleasant and qualified staff.
A little disappointed that the services we had booked could not be performed in full due to machine failure and for the luxury of the spa, surprised that the sweets served were sweets and cakes accompanied by bottled fruit juice , fresh cut fruit and a squeezed fruit juice would have been a plus.
A great experience that we will gladly repeat

Someone walked into my room in the morning, even though I had locked it from the inside. I was in the shower so was shocked, scared and angry.
There was no robe, room service menu or slippers for the spa in my room so had to call for all three. The guy in check in misinformed me about my bill. I paid for breakfast in bed but was told I wasn t able to do this (even though it was on my bill) and so came to the restaurant even though that wasn t what I wanted.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. My room was not great because I had taken an offer from an online booking site and in these cases the hotels tend to give you scraps. But still spacious and well furnished. I saw the rooms and they were very beautiful. The breakfast really excellent and plentiful. The perfect location, a stone's throw from the Louvre and other attractions. Behind the hotel winding streets full of places to eat. Beautiful, I would gladly stay there again.

Beautiful place, very clean, has a special charm! The restaurant has very good food, it s not only a feast eating there, they make you feel royal, the chef comes at the end of dinner to meet everyone, tells you about the food. The garden it s also amazing! The terrace is beautiful! The service is great! I don t know what to complement first! I can say it s my favourite hotel in Paris and not only.
Thank you for making feel so welcome in your chateau!

Strong point is the location on rue du Rivoli very close to the Louvre. The rooms are comfortable but have carpet for everything. The hallways are narrow and full of obstacles. For people with mobility difficulties it sucks. You go down a corridor, there are 3 steps, and then another two steps down, strangely enough. We arrived at night and there was staf to help with luggage, on booking I mentioned the presence of visually impaired person and was not taken into account. The room had two floors, the bathroom wonderful and the view was for a delicate indoor park. Breakfast is optional and costs 30 per person (at that time at 4.50 a euro), which is good to take into account. The coffee is very good, but does not justify the price.

I travel all over Europe for work so I understand that the standard of European hotels is different to that in the USA and the charm and beauty of the city or country ames up for the little quirks that come with EU lodging. HOWEVER, nothing could persuade me to leave a good review of this hotel. While the concierge and staff were lovely the air conditioning in my room was horrid. They said it was working and on, but it was over 30 degrees in my room. I did have two windows that I could open but as my room overlooked a narrow street, I could not get any fresh air from the outside only noise and cigarette smoke. I called ahead and asked if the wifi worked in the rooms and was told it did but my room had no wifi and for 8 hours of the first day it was down in the whole hotel which made my working trip to Paris miserable. I was so sorry I booked a night at this hotel and hate to leave a bad review, but if you needed room wifi and AC if you are traveling in the summer months, (or even a breeze from the outside) I would say NOT to book this hotel. A friend was staying at the hotel the same night and she was able to get a breeze from the outside as her room was facing the courtyard and higher up, (I was on the first floor) but her wifi did not work either.
