Hotel Saint James Albany Review

Every staff member were welcoming and helpful! Our room was beautiful and very clean. The location is the best! When our flight got canceled the hotel staff was so accommodating in finding a room for us for the extra night and it was just as beautiful as the first one! Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay!

Went there for professional reasons, the venue was very nice, great Wi-Fi for work, great food and equipments.

Historical hotel, perfect location with amazing view on museum Louvre and parc Tuileries. Atmosphere in hotel is amazing, like the time has been stopped over there. Very clean, authentic and worm. There is also Spa centre with great sauna and small swimming pool. The breakfast is great, lunch and dinner. Place for all recommendation

Scandalous, dirty, sad, noisy hotel room!
A horror! The management only changed my room the next day, they don't want to reimburse me the first night. Hotel avoided absolutely !!

The hotel is right by the Louvre and it is clean.
We missed the outdoor pool and the friendly staff ... Many were put on polite, some even tried hard, but most of them seem to be annoyed by the work or the guests, whatever ...
The difference to a German 4-star hotel is extremely clear, among other things through the additional payments for breakfast, swimming pool use, etc.
The room was very nice, clean and the room service was very good!
All in all, you can do it - but you mainly pay for the location and name!

Nice hotel, good location, lovely staff. The room was very well soundproofed.

My husband, our two kids, and our french bulldog felt completely at ease here. I loved how they are pet-friendly, locates in a great & quiet location, AND they offer a 15/pp breakfast buffet. It s a very elegant hotel and although some hallways seemed a bit dingy and outdated, the actual rooms and common areas were up to par.

Our room: we got the two-story loft suite and it fit perfectly for our family of 4 (plus one pup).

The fact of being a historic building prevents them from improving some aspects.

The hotel is across the street from the Louvre! Easy walk to a lot of places. I didn't rate the welcome because we arrived as part of a large group, which is always difficult for everyone. We liked our room, but several of the electric plugs did not work, and a repair person was not able to fix that. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean. We enjoyed beautiful two-story windows that opened onto one of two squares inside the hotel property. Our king bed was comfy and the room had two bathrooms. One upstairs in the sitting room, and the other downstairs in the bedroom. The breakfast buffet was good, and included a cappuccino machine. If you ask for 'American coffee', they will bring it. The concierge was really helpful!

Great hotel very nice and conveniently located at the level of public transport and Taxis. The rooms are cozy and very comfortable with a bathroom with shower or bath option, sufficient storage space, a separate toilet area;). A very very good stay;)

I did not eat at the restaurant or use the spa. The hotel staff was extremely nice and always smiled and everyone said hello when ever we saw a staff member. That is very rare at other hotels and I travel at least 26 weeks out of the year. Very impressed. We will be back!

Excellent location and excellent service. There is a great swimming pool in the basement. Only thing i would improve is the cleanliness and decoration of the rooms - slightly outdated..

I like this establishment for its particularly enjoyable Sunday brunch.

All in all it's a nice hotel with a perfect location.

We arrived at 5:00 p.m. the room was not ready (although it says we could pick it up at 3:00 p.m.), we waited. Luggage must be taken to the room by ourselves, this is inadmissible for a 4 star. Breakfast is exorbitantly expensive for what little there is.
We have done a lot of hotels, this one absolutely does not deserve its 4 stars.
I do not recommend at all !

All in all my stay was good ... but I still have a bit of trouble with the condition of some parts of the room. A little dust in some places where a hair in the sink! Or the light from the hallway that I could see while the door was closed! Otherwise welcome in itself very good and nothing to complain about it had everything you need and the products of very good quality! Not to mention the location.

I recommend this place for business meetings! Discretion assured.

The rooms are hot and humid with no air conditioning.

The hotel is advertised as four stars but I can honestly say that I have stayed in better motels for less than $50 a night. This hotel claims to be much nicer than it actually is.

For the amount of money you are going to spend at this hotel, stay somewhere else.

Hotel in a very central location, in front of the gardens of Les Tuileries, with a large internal courtyard, swimming pool, hammam and spa services.
The room attributed to us gave on to the interior, quiet, on two floors and very spacious. The hotel is clean and the structure quite new, the staff courteous and efficient.

Very nice hotel, perfectly located, large room which was an apartment, rather than a hotel room. Breakfast was very nice, although it seemed the staff was not really prepared fully for all the guests. The area was under renovation while we were there in early January 2019. Pool was not great. They ran out of towels, not enough places to sit near the pool. One bigger complaint is that they arranged transportation for us from the train station, and we were grossly overcharged. When we brought this up upon arriving at the hotel, the Concierge asked us to pay the bill anyway and said the hotel would resolve To this date, nothing has been resolved. We still would most likely return, but this does not leave a good taste.

The setting is beautiful, the location is ideal. The comfort of the bedding, the pool and the spa area are perfect. The breakfast is a generous buffet and fine in the mouth. The staff is available and kind. However I found the decor of the suite a little outdated, well below the rest of the establishment. I did appreciate that the suite is a duplex.

I stayed at St James Albany for the wedding night. The hotel is very comfortable, the welcome very warm and the food excellent !! And the spa is also relaxing.

Not great first impressions. Only picked this hotel based on location (which is great) and pool.
Room took extra 40min to be ready (3.40pm). Staff barely helpful.
No towels in pool room and was just told sorry none left. Staff sit outside pool in spa room so no one supervising it. It's dim inside and only reason no one drowns is because it's only 3m wide.

Family brunch. Inner terrace very quiet and comfortable. A brunch buffet very well supplied and quite original. Effective service. For a Parisian brunch I recommend (45 per person).

Had a great stay here, close to everything we need and the metro is just across the road.

Very nice place to stay while in Paris. It was on the main strip which made it accessible to all dining most museums, shopping and the metro.

This was a wonderful place to stay! The staff were helpful and friendly even when we were having a bad time with our bank in the states. They did everything to help!

Two words. STAY AWAY !

Small filthy carpeted rooms with a very noisy portable air conditioner.

The location alone does not make up for the badly spent nights.
Hotel aged, windows without soundproofing, the cold weather, we had the outer noises little space for housekeeping.
They put us in a horrible wing (rue 29 du Julliet), in refurbishment, full of horrible glues, my son woke up startled by the noise of the garbage men at 7:00, a lot of noise.
Breakfast leaves much to be desired.
If you have children this is to be avoided as it can be a let down to visit Paris!

Hotel well placed in Paris but room to review and uncomfortable bed. Maid opening the door at 8:30 while you are still in the room, is a very average act to give a good rating.

Good evening and thank you for giving us the opportunity to discuss our stay.

First of all, I want you to understand that the following review is constructive.

Our stay was an opportunity for us to travel with the family and introduce our youngest child, aged 5, to Paris.

Arrived Friday at noon, our room not being ready what we can imagine we went to the restaurant of your establishment.

We were the first to arrive and for all that our meal will have been served almost three quarters of an hour after our arrival when we have a 5 year old child with us.

We were able to get into our room around 2pm quickly we realized that the air conditioning in the rooms was defective as far as mobile units had been placed.
Their operation being linked to the evacuation of hot air to the outside, this operating mode therefore requires the opening of the windows, for us there are however two problems that arise:
the first related to environmental noise especially on the occasion of the wedding organization on Sunday evening.
The second for obvious safety rules since access to the bedrooms can be done very easily from the window which overlooked the terrace.

We asked for an iron, after 45 minutes and 3 phone calls we were able to get it.

Our initial stay was planned for two nights, we extended it by an additional night in order to have a pleasant 4-day stay in Paris, this request having been made during the check in. We were surprised on our return Sunday at the end of the day to see that the magnetic keys had been disabled.

We tested the spa as well as the swimming pool facilities the welcome is particularly warm the team is very professional, neat and for the attention of its customers my wife and my son took a mother son massage and for myself a solo massage.

On Sunday evening we became aware of the wedding in preparation, just in front of our bedroom window open for the occasion of the problem with the operation of the indoor air conditioning units after informing the receptionist about our fears due to the noise. was reassuring by explaining to us that at 10:30 p.m. everything would be over since the guests were to be welcomed in a room in the basement we understood that this was not the case since at midnight 30 we were still awakened by the cries of joy on this occasion we do not hold it against the bride and groom and their guests so far twice we have tried with your reception services to have us placed in a different room - exposed or upstairs.

On the occasion of the check-out we very fortunately exposed this inconvenience a minimal commercial gesture was granted to us up to 20% of discount on the famous additional night from Sunday to Monday.

I do not hide that by coming to your establishment we expected a slightly higher level of service given your location of the quality of the service offered on paper but unfortunately the rooms show a lack of maintenance even if only '' at the level of the sanitary joints in the mold and saltpeter bathtubs which are for us obvious signs of a lack of maintenance.

We hope that our comments and criticisms can improve the accommodation conditions of your next residents, Mr. and Mrs. Rosengren

Fantastic location, everyone friendly and kind to my children with their school French! Room comfortable and clean, lovely Christmas decorations. We arrived early and they let us check in at 11am, and looked after our bags for the day we checked out.

For the price, spa services, pool and proximity of monuments. I recommend taking a superior internal courtyard. For calm, good we are in the most beautiful capital of the world.

I love this beautiful spa. I had the opportunity to rest several times. Do not miss the massages are top and especially the hot stone.

The staff is old but friendly, and is conveniently located in the city's major tourist attractions. Each room in the hotel may be a little more complicated, so be sure to check the exit.

Hotel very well located. Beware of the 200 deposit. They have not returned it to me. I do not recommend dining at the hotel itself expensive and poorly staffed. We had half a pension.

Friendly staff, and amazing location, but it needs a bit of love especially in the rooms, SPA ok but small, food decent. Got a super good deal on the room rate, so exceptional value for money.

A great location. The design of the hotel is poor. You walk though bthe breakfast hall to get to yourroom. The rooms are small and not arranged for max space. Did not get my early morning call, could of missed my flight

In the corridor where the hotel is located, there are numerous shops.

Average service for a four-star hotel. Positive: competent and pleasant staff, large pool and steam room, tea, refreshments, dried fruits at will. Negative: poor fitness room in bodybuilding equipment, jacuzzi not cleaned (the management took into account and made a commercial effort), paint that comes off at the entrance of the hammam.

Very beautiful address. Comfortable hotel. However high price compared to the standard of the rooms.

Despite the standard, the rooms are not equipped with air conditioning, however they are large and comfortable, as are the bathrooms and the bedding.
The breakfast is average not at the level of a 4 star. However, the location is ideal facing the Tuileries gardens.

The suites are spacious and just a few blocks from the Lourve.
Not happy about TV being in a lot of French stations. They only English station in CNN and BBC news.
