I travel all over Europe for work so I understand that the standard of European hotels is different to that in the USA and the charm and beauty of the city or country ames up for the little quirks that come with EU lodging. HOWEVER, nothing could persuade me to leave a good review of this hotel. While the concierge and staff were lovely the air conditioning in my room was horrid. They said it was working and on, but it was over 30 degrees in my room. I did have two windows that I could open but as my room overlooked a narrow street, I could not get any fresh air from the outside only noise and cigarette smoke. I called ahead and asked if the wifi worked in the rooms and was told it did but my room had no wifi and for 8 hours of the first day it was down in the whole hotel which made my working trip to Paris miserable. I was so sorry I booked a night at this hotel and hate to leave a bad review, but if you needed room wifi and AC if you are traveling in the summer months, (or even a breeze from the outside) I would say NOT to book this hotel. A friend was staying at the hotel the same night and she was able to get a breeze from the outside as her room was facing the courtyard and higher up, (I was on the first floor) but her wifi did not work either.
