Very nice hotel/motel type setup. Conveniently located next to the Queen Mary (perfect place to stay if you're visiting the QM). Room was nice, not fantastic, but clean and nice view.

This is for the brunch! The brunch is SUPER yummy! It is a bit spendy, but had a taco bar, a long buffet, deserts, and champagne. It also included live music. It was a really nice place to go with a Mom or your girls if you need a nice place for brunch.
Pretentious while cutting corners? I wasn't impressed. Better than a Denny's and a motel 6 but not by much.
I really wanted to like this place. The view is beautiful and the outdoor area looked amazing. Unfortunately the treatment of their guests was very disappointing. Went to celebrate an event with a friend who has a licensed service dog, and was told that the dog was not allowed where we were. When we tried to show documents and proof that the dog was licensed and that services animals are by law allowed wherever their owners were, we were denied access and asked to leave. Our only other option was to spent time with our friend in her room, which we were told we cannot do because of the four person per room rule. I m very disappointed with the way they treat their guests and the way their staff is trained to deal with service animals.
Attended cousin's mid-March wedding. Ceremony was on the courtyard by the bay. Lovely seascape, watching boats and birds travel by while viewing the Pike across the bay. Reception tent was perfect for the party. Large enough to hold the 200+ guests. Food was yummy, we had a taco bar and carving station. Service was fantastic, with attentive staff bringing salads, drinks and dessert and cleaning up promptly. Special meals (vegan, gluten free, etc,) handled with no fuss. Overall, fantastic venue for celebration, and those who stayed overnight loved the facility.
For the most part great experience here on a beautiful afternoon day for a Sunday brunch. Love the setting here which boasts beautiful a Long Beach skyline and harbor views. The food and service were all great here. Our only issue is with the salad buffet. Being that Fuego is a semi-outdoor restaurant we saw way too many flies helping themselves to the deliciously looking cheeses, meats, and pastas. Unfortunately for us we had to stay clear and skip to the taco man.
The hotel is a great place to be, great staff amd service!
Would definitely not come here again. You have to go to restaurant to pick up all food, and staff was a mixed bag.
Loved the room. Sat on the balcony and watched boats go by!
We went here for an Anniversary and honestly I could have not even imagined a better place to stay! The staff wen above and beyond including Holly who works at the hotel's restaurant!
The truth is not worth it you pay a lot for a hotel and you do not reside anything for what you paid the receptionists are not friendly the food is not very good and it is very expensive the parking is just as expensive and apart from bad maintenance in the rooms my shower is not I was not able to take a bath in my room
I didn't like the idea of paying $26.00 a night additional for parking.
Hosted my daughter's sweet 16 here. I loved the venue, loved the food, appreciated the white glove experience from the staff including Ashley in Catering and Stanley at the front desk. Ara in Catering also awesome. I'll definitely have other events here. Cute hotel rooms. They don't have a super charger but they do have the adapter for Tesla (It's just first come, first serve - there are chargers near Long Beach airport if someone is really in need).
Hotel key gets you out of the parking lot.
Very fancy themed Mayan hotel. The Mayan hotel is definitely worth staying at. Not themed in the rooms however very fancy.
Very nice layout
Great staff
Views overlooking the harbor and city are amazing. Nicely furnished rooms with plenty of space. Restaurant and bar are open for take out.
Chic. Cute. And Courteous Staff! Great boutique styled hotel with awesome theme. It maybe off the path of downtown Long Beach, but just an awesome property! Food was just okay and selection for food isn't that great location wise (everything closes around 10p).
I wish they blocked off the area for events. Random people were coming in for our wedding ceremony.
Only here one night for a wedding, but this place is gorgeous. They could improve there careline some. There is a lot of ringing if they pick up.
Very beautiful, an excellent view, wonderful attention
Excellent service, beautiful view of downtown Long Beach, and a very relaxing and fun environment! loved it!
Absolutely love this hotel! From the views to the staff to the accommodations... Amazing!
lovely wedding venue, but hire your own wedding planner because the one they had dropped the ball.
This is a really nice hotel, but need to have parking spots for gold members. They also charge $26 day parking for guests, which is BS. The rooms are already over $200 per night. It is however, a great hotel.
Service is great, food and ambiance. We had a good time here, definitely will be back
Loud construction going on nearby and it kept me up all night. Food at Fuego is mediocre. Pool area is nice and has a good view. In walking distance to queen Mary and downtown Pike area.
Beautiful property. Rooms were pretty nice with a great balcony view. The $31 parking is insane.
And we asked for cookies and was told they ran out. WHAT??? The whole reason we book Doubletree! Shame on you guys!
AS A DIAMOND MEMBER I FELT A LITTLE RUSHED TO CHECK OUT. BUT OVERALL STAY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FABULOUS
Me and hubby celebrated our anniversary here for 3days it was beautiful a weekend to remember the ambiance, food and live band was awesome and the welcome warm cookies are the bomb dont forget to get a whole of them
It was a lovely place the staff was so kind and courteous
Great hotel right next to the water. Awesome views and property. Room service was great, me and my wife ordered a club sandwich and the dulce de leche cheesecake. Room was clean and tidy when we first came in. Front desk was nice and the cookies and water were a nice touch upon check-in. Also had the breakfast buffet which had your typical items: eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, French toast, apple or orange juice, etc, overall a good breakfast. No complaints. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The maya in Long Beach has great food!! The Breakfast burrito with the dried tomato tortilla wrap is the way to go!
Very nice hotel. Great location and scenery. Walking distance from downtown Long Beach. Food was delicious and that service was good. I am definitely going to back!
In general the stay was good, however, the rooms and construction in general requires maintenance and modernization.
We had problems with the 1st room they gave us and kindly resolved the inconvenience.
The spectacular bay view.
A good place to stay if you are heading out on a Carnival Cruise. You can keep your car parked here while away and it isn't too much more than the normal parking costs.
Pedro Sanchez Bad customer service first impression is very important, very disappointment after I drove 6 1/2 hours I just wanted to rest but when I got to the hotel they make me wait over 40 minutes to check in, the person at the desk was very unprofessional and rude he told me how come I didn't call to let him know that I was coming late, even I show him the calls on my cellphone I did call several times and nobody answer and the next day we had an invasion of mosquitos in the room, to be honest I have visit many hotels in Long Beach for years and this is the worse hotel, I'll definitely won't recomend this hotel and i will tell all my friends and family not to go to this hotel.
The place is very nice the food is great, only thing I didn't like was the parking price too expensive.
Been a awesome experience staff is hard working food was excellent
Just ate a the restaurant.. breakfast was good, great view, great service. I would eat here again
Fuego restaurant is the best! The manager was very helpful with making sure we enjoyed our holiday weekend. The rooms are very nice and the Mayan theme is lovely!
This unique property has the best views of the city, especially in the evening.
Some changes would garner that 5th star; better water pressure in the shower and a soaking bathtub, include continental breakfast instead of charging $22 per person, and include parking in with the cost of the room.
The location is beautiful. The pool area is stunning. The staff are friendly and attentive. I would gladly recommend this hotel to friends and family, but I'd encourage them to look elsewhere first.
MY BIGGEST REGRET: CHOOSING HOTEL MAYA. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!
BAD SECURITY: I GOT WALKED-IN ON WHILE CHANGING UNDERWEAR ON MY WEDDING DAY!
The hotel says they can t verify who it was and that their cameras apparently do not shed much light. It happened twice, so I find the hotel management to be totally inept. If they had proper security protocols, they would know which employee had the keys and why they didn t know better than to unlock and enter a dressing room on the day of a wedding event.
BEWARE OF THE FOG HORNS! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR WEDDING SPEECH.
If it's not bad enough that hotel staff walks in on you while changing, get ready for your wedding vows (or in my case a wedding song) to be ruined by LOUD FOG HORNS and MOTOR BOATS! Boats nearby will make loud unpleasant noises at any time. You have no control.
SERVED INCORRECT BILL 30 MINUTES BEFORE OUR WEDDING RECEPTION WAS OVER + STUPID DISPUTE OVER MONEY = FINAL SPEECH GONE AND MOMENTS LOST
If it s not bad enough that you get walked-in on, AND fog horns and boat soil drown our your wedding ceremony, guess what there s more! They took away the last 30 minutes of our wedding reception by serving us a bad bill and refusing to leave us alone to try to enjoy the final moments of the wedding. If the hotel staff came at 10PM (not 930), I guess it would be fair, but still would feel cheap; like vultures waiting for us to leave and pay a bill on our precious wedding day. The bill wasn't even due until the following morning. Instead, they came at 930, and asked us to pay an incorrect bill right when I was going to motion for a final thank you to our guests and to do final pictures before guests depart. Their staff serving us this bill totally ruined it. And even if the bill was correct, that is our venue still until 10PM why is a bill (especially a bad one) being served to the groom as he juggles photos with guests at 930? Terrible service and the worst part is we still had to pay them 22% gratuity.
TERRIBLE INVOICING / CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:
To this day, their invoicing says service fee and tax included and they double charged us for those items. Later they come back and say oh your original contract stated this and that, so even though our invoice has errors, the amount is right". The amount was NOT right I assure you. We still had to audit them and found errors that they still to this date have not provided correct invoicing for. Basically they are saying "deal with the bad invoices, even those they don't match your contract". This is just unacceptable for a Hilton. Get your invoices right. If tax is included, and an invoice is showing both the words tax included and a separate line item to tax, that invoice needs to be correct.
ELEVATORS USED BY THEIR STAFF MOST OF THE TIME
GUESTS WAIT FOR STAFF, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!
Aside from our wedding event issues, we spent our one night there and next day going up and down the stairs because the elevator was mainly being used by the staff. If you have kids or luggage and don t want to haul it up the stairs, than this is the wrong place.
Wonderful food, great location, beautiful views. Great staff organizing the event.
Fantastic view. Excellent cocktails. Dinner was OK - overpriced for what you got. I'd give the view, ambiance, and cocktails 5 stars. The food gets 2 stars. I'd go back for happy hour but not dinner.
I liked the hotel, in general, but I should say I found the lady at the front desk who checked me in a little bit (not too much) rude. I have a silver HHonor status and as a frequent traveler, I always get early check-in. This time, I was a bit too early (10am) and was really not expecting to be checked in that early. I was also not expecting to be checked in too late and when I got the text message to check in, it was around 3pm. The front desk lady told me that she could manage to give me early check in and when I said it was really not that much early, she became a bit rude (really a little bit not too much), reminding me that the normal check-in time was 4pm. I believe she could be a bit nicer. I did not answer, hoping that she will realize I was not happy. I should also add that I travel all the time and usually stay at Hilton, Sheraton and Marriott. This is the first negative review that I have ever submitted.
It was okay the outside is so nice definitely not a beachfront like advertised but a nice waterfront stay. Pool is 4ft so kids can have a good time. Ultimately I wouldn t stay again due to sanitary issues I saw and yes, there are clean seals on the door, mine just happened to be broken when we arrived. The man that works at night with the circle glasses is a gem tho, he needs an award.
Super amazing place!!!!
It was our first time here, and host Miguel, server Carmen performed great!!!!
And above all, Manager DeeDee took care of us perfectly!!!!
Thank you!!!!
We will definitely be back!!!!
Hot water take for ever to come out... and the'er it's $31.00 for parking "everybody if you're staying or a guest @the hotel or not it's $31.00 and $50.00 fee aswell if you're renting a room .yeah that part
We stayed here during their busy Saturday to Thursday and the stay was awesome. Aside from the amazing rooms and pool, the staff was the biggest factor that contributed to this.
We had asked for adjoining rooms since check-in. Although Saturday was packed, Michael did his best to accommodate us. Being a seasoned traveller for business, I completely understand if our requests were not met. We were given two rooms close within the same building and informed us that many will check out the next day. The following day, Michael gave us two adjoining rooms with awesome views and close proximity to the pool.
In the evening, Henry was very courteous and recognized everything thing we asked. The whole staff was amazing nonetheless. It really felt like they cared and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and comfortable.
This was our first experience at the Maya and we will be back. Thanks Michael and Henry for going above and beyond!!

Nice location, but rooms are EXTREMELY NOISY. Can hear people walking above, door closing, walking down hallway, a/c in room is window unit and is very loud. Rooms have been remodeled nicely, but popcorn ceilings should have been removed and bathrooms enlarged. The feel of this hotel is more like a motel due to the fact that rooms are off an outside hallway. When we checked in it was about 9pm on Friday and the smell of smoke from the bar/dance club near the front desk was horrible.
All in all, I would not recommend this property. The area around the property is wonderful! We walked to Shoreline Village, which was a great excursion!! BTW, the cookies recieved at check-in were GREAT!
This vibe of this place relaxes you as soon as you walk in the door. Great views and one of the best hotel breakfasts I ve ever had.
Good place to be. They have an amazing view of the queen Mary. The hotel rooms are nice but if you expect to plug in a ps4 or xbox I don t recommend it. Nice area with little noise but boats. Great for meeting, weddings, parties etc. fire pits and pool area have great amenities
Very frustrating dealing with employees who only speak spanish. Valet parked me in and took 30 minutes to get out.
Management does not care about your concerns our room smelt of really bad weed mind u we picked non smoking room they told us "Let's face it everyone got there stimulus check" nothing we can do.. more like nothing they wanted to do
Was there only for an event. Room was nice, with a balcony.
Very nice hotel and its walking distance from the Queen marry
Beautiful hotel with a unique design that really captivates you the moment you walk in.
The Hotel Maya is a very nice place with Quick Service, helpfulland friendly staff.Exteriors beautiful, it has a nice fire pit, excellent areas the sit and chat with family and friends, and a beautiful waterfall. Interior has very nice places to sit and chat with family and friends as well, and unique art on the walls. All together beautiful atmosphere. I couldn't get enough of it.
What a great surprise!!! Awesome hotel! The grounds were perfect, the staff was sooo awesome and the food/drinks were great! We stayed Friday night and parked for our cruise that was 7 days. Shuttle was awesome, quick and comfortable! Our room in building four, 1st floor. We had our own private back yard! So cool! At night we sat out by a bongo and drank wine. Loved this place!!!
Terrible service. Was lied to upon check-in about being given the best available view . Turns out he meant worst available view . I have never done this before, but I asked to change rooms and was met by more rudeness from another front desker: loud sighing on the phone and an eye roll when I picked up my new key and apologized for the inconvenience. New room had much better view. I have no idea why the first employee lied to me like that, but not acceptable at all.
Location is good, but no access to food and no complimentary breakfast, just a very pricey breakfast buffet at the hotel.
The lawn games were missing pieces so un-usable. Hotel was probably once nice but seems like no one cares. Room was clean and bed comfortable.
I will never stay here again. Rude and dishonest staff is a complete deal breaker.
We went to take family pictures and everything around there was beautiful and quiet would love to go back and explore some more
