If you are looking for an ink pen, sealing wax, unusual toys, greeting cards, this is the place to come. If you like Crane stationary. They have it. If you want a classy printed invitation. They can do it. The women here know their paper. Great Christmas ornaments and gifts. It's worth checking out.

Always a great experience shopping here. The ladies have always been very pleasant. They have the most beautiful wrapping paper, year round but especially during the holidays. We always get our Christmas cards here. Lots of cute, funny, clever, and anything in between, gifts. Highly, highly recommend.

The ladies at Pennysmiths Paper are truly amazing! Their hospitality and professionalism go a long way. Especially when a bride is anxious and overwhelmed, they assist her to ease that part of the process. They have an amazing selection and even help to figure out custom pieces for the brides that want other choices. The calligrapher there (Theresa) is out of this world with her artwork. You must go by and see them!

Oooooh, what a neat little shop! It's a go-to place for custom invitations and special stationery. The art of letter writing seems to have been a thing of the past, but this place brings it back to life! Great place to find a unique gift or greeting card.

A truly amazing place that is a hidden treasure for pen enthusiasts. Definitely would recommend stopping in if you enjoy stationeries and pens.

The place is amazing (merchandise wise). Cute and full of amazing items. I came here to get some ideas for my wedding stationary, but I was immediately turned off by the OWNER (who's name is Emily I believe) talking about her black employees (to other employees) and how she thought they were stealing from her. I felt uncomfortable the rest of the time I was there. If you can get over racism this place is for you. I hope the employees she was talking about are in a better place. Unfortunately I do not know any other stationary places in New Mexico, if you could let me know that would be stellar.

I'm not sure what I expect when I went to Pennysmith's Paper but it didn't really end up being whatever that was. I suppose I went there wanting to browse for high quality papers suitable for fountain pens and possibly scope out some pens as well. They have some of that stuff but there wasn't enough to quite tickle my fancy. That doesn't mean this place doesn't fit well in it's actual niche - which I would say is probably more aimed at the wedding crowd or people who are decorating for parties, etc.

The store has a very feminine air and I suppose I felt somewhat uncomfortable looking around. They did carry some Clairefontaine and Rhodia notepads and a few fountain pens but not really enough variety to keep me interested.

The staff attempted to be friendly and kindly tried to search out things I might be interested in but there really just wasn't much in store that I would have purchased and if I did, it would have been cheaper online or at another store.

I don't want to portray this place negatively because I think there is definitely a different crowd that would love it but it simply wasn't my kind of store.

We got our wedding invitations printed here. I had my designed prepared on my own, but we were in desperate need of a professional printing service. We were recommended to visit Pennysmiths. My fiance and I visited with Amelie and we were greeted with great information, paper types and envelopes. Within less than a week, our invitations were printed on lovely paper with beautiful envelopes, plus our design was altered such that it would fit on the paper, thanks to the graphic design artist Amanda. We'll definitely be back for "Thank You" cards and any other relevant projects in the future!

I love Pennysmiths paper. I have been shopping here for years along with my mom. I recently ordered save the dates for my wedding from them, and I was so impressed with how many different styles and price points they offer for brides! Love to shop local!

Went in today prepared to spend well over $30 on cards alone and to buy a nice letter opener, as well as check out wedding invitations. Walked into an empty store with two employees who both looked right at me and said absolutely nothing. I was willing to write it off, but after a third employee came in and made direct eye contact with me and didn t say anything, I started to feel decidedly uncomfortable alone in a small store with three employees, chit chatting with one another but acting as if I were a stinky fart they were trying their best to avoid acknowledging. They have an amazing selection of cards and fun gifts, and I prefer to shop locally, but it s not cheap and at least I expect to feel somewhat anonymous at a big box store. This was worse than feeling anonymous- I felt straight up unwelcome. I continued shopping for another 10 minutes or so and felt like I was being simultaneously watched and ignored (I think they thought I might be trying to steal?? Have ya'll not seen Pretty Woman...Big mistake...HUGE). Put my cards back and walked over to Bookworks instead. Creative Culture and Duran's Pharmacy also have amazing card and gift selections, and they're much more centrally located and have so far been exceedingly friendly and helpful. I would give Pennysmith's another shot but I'm not convinced by their lack of response to other bad reviews that they really care about their customer experience.

A great store, all employees are very friendly. I took an art class here and it was thoroughly enjoyable! I highly recommend this small and quaint store. I took the decorating envelopes class, instructions were clear, but loose enough we could get creative. Instructor Marisa was awesome. Great way to learn some new materials, this particular class revolved around alcohol-based pens that were blendable. Here are some of my creations.

This beautiful shop and service gave me the best service I've had for awhile. For my hand painted wedding invitations they took the time to care for them and took great consideration on what I wanted. They did a fabulous job with our wedding day invitations, communicating with us every step of the way. The finished product was exactly what we wanted!

I am a member of the Greigos community for five years and i enjoy the local shopping stores. Sadly, when I walk into Penny Smiths the clerks seems standoff towards me and my kids. At one time a lady followed me around the store and I felt so uncomfortable. Incidents such as these or the clerks being snobbish happened more than once. After today visits, I will no longer shop there.

Love the ladies who work here. They printed and assembled my wedding invitations. Great assortment in stationery for all occasions. If you communicate thoroughly, they can order you certain things like clipboards, pens, ink stamps, paper, napkins...in your special color.

There is a reason Pennysmiths Paper has been open for almost 35 years now! I love shopping here. There is always something new in the store, and lots of fun things to look at. The shop girls are always friendly and helpful. I have been ordering custom invitations from Pennysmiths for about thirty years now. They have created everything from my wedding invitations to invites to my daughters' birthdays to my grandchild's birth announcement and just about every occasion in-between. This is a family business, and they have been a very important part of my family as well.
