which must be evaluated is
1. the employee's uniform which is gray in color, is (sorry) tattered (hole holes), although I know he may not be in a high position, at least dress neatly.

2. Maybe this is just my input, why don't the men's toilets have water sprinklers, while not all guests are used to cleaning only with tissue.

3.the toilet in the parking lot is really not suitable for use, the water is stagnant, very dirty ...

besides the above, this hotel is truly extraordinary, the "old-fashioned" impression is really very good, delicious cuisine, excellent service. thanks.

Historical hotel in Surabaya with vintage and stunning furniture together with excellent and polite service is definitely a plus for every guest stayed in Majapahit hotel.

The breakfast spread and the presentation is excellent. There are also 4 signature egg dishes which prepared specially for hotel guest. We particularly love the Omelette Soufflee.

The facilities are maintained properly (big and clean swimming pool, gym with proper equipment, sauna etc).

We requested to change the bathroom mat and it came so fast (below 5 minutes).

We are satisfied and love to stay at Majapahit hotel again. Really recommended!

The hotel is pretty scary huh ... actually the view is nice if in the morning but at 8 mlm it feels really spooky really ... it's quiet, tense, and at that time I ordered food to pay for the MLM too, whereas other hotels can pay when checking out, it's really not really good hotel services

Top choice in Surabaya, for its colonial design and history, and impeccable service. It's located in the city centre, across from TP mall. The rooms are clean and unique, you feel as if you are back in the colonial times. The grounds of the hotel are picturesque, and well maintained. The food in the ground floor cafe is decent. I prefer the Sarkies Chinese restaurant on the 2nd level. Best indulgence is the high tea in the lobby lounge. It's about 120k idr for a high tea set with a drink. Perfect way to spend your afternoon amidst the art deco surroundings. All in all, love the place. You should go check it out.

Beautiful hotel staff welcoming and always pleasant

Always a pleasure! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Many thanks to Farid the night manager who took it upon him self to escort my husband to the hospital and translate for 3 hours until 1am. We have been going to this hotel every time we visit family in Surabaya and it's always a great pleasure.
We look forward to visiting again! I highly recommend anyone staying in Surabaya to stay at this very unique hotel, it takes you back in time.

when I want to take a photo in front of the hotel, it turns out that there is a hotel restaurant event for the public ... don't know what it's called ... stop by us ... there are several menus that are served grilled fish with several types and this price is only around 25 thousand to 45 if I'm not mistaken the most expensive one, there are fried rice and some other light menus ... the taste is okay in the tongue ... just a shame for the hot drink, if you can't get the syrup from the bottle, it's better to get the original fresh orange ... that's for the price not up to 100 thousand even though . eat together

The vintage, heritage building as a Hotel is really great! The building is maintained well despite it's old age. The ambience will bring back the colonial age into our surrounding during stay. It is also the best place for photo taking.

This is a historical hotel. Absolute classic. The architecture reminds me of The E&O in Penang and The Majestic in Kuala Lumpur.

Hotel Majapahit is a historic luxury hotel on Jalan Tunjungan, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Formerly named LMS, then Hotel Oranje and then Hotel Yamato and also Hotel Hoteru. At present, the Majapahit Hotel which was built in 1910 by Sarkies Brothers from the Armenian Islands has turned into a five-star luxury hotel with a total of 143 rooms on the first and second floors. The hotel was managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group from 1993 to 2006. In 2006, the hotel was acquired by PT Sekman Wisata. Most of the hotel s original buildings can still be seen today, although some outside buildings and some elements of the interior have been renovated.

One of the moments of struggle at this hotel occurred on September 19, 1945, namely the Flag Incident. The incident began when a group of Dutch people led by Mr. Ploegman raised the Red and White Blue flag at the top right of the hotel. The Indonesian fighters carried out a blue tear on the Dutch flag, which was red, white and blue, thus the flag became red and white, the flag of the Republic of Indonesia. The flag incident also killed Mr. Ploegman.

Ate at the restaurant here and the food was bad. Got food poisoning for 2 days after that. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Love this hotel!this hotel is historical,this is the place where the dutch flag torned into red-white flag (indonesian flag),They preserves the original architecture along with the tiles & everything else.Charlie Chaplin was one of the guest who's been here.The hotel was well maintained,clean with lots of instagramable spots!And compared to other 5 star hotels in Surabaya,the price is affordable .So,if you come to Surabaya,visit this hotel for lunch & stroll around the beautiful garden & architecture and have some historical glimps
