This is a historical hotel in Surabaya. The most luxurious hotel in colonial era name Oranje Hotel and to be change Yamato Hotel when Japanese occupation Netherlands Indie (Indonesia). That name was change to Madjapahit Hotel after independence of Indonesia. In Indonesian history that site became famous for Dutch flag tearing event
which began the battle of Surabaya november 1945.

Although this does not look like a five-star hotel, it feels very comfortable.

The park is really neat. 5 star hotel outside the room did not feel hot because it was facing a large park.

Spent an evening here at Balai Adika. It was my first time here and I wad so impressed with this hotel. It started by entering the parking area. I was astounded by the view of Tunjungan Plaza from its parking area. It was magnificent view that I didn't aware of. Entering the hotel, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. The decor, the garden, and all are so awesome.

I like this place ... especially the martha tilaar spa ... no loss to the spa at this place ... service is also okay ... friendly. the majapahit hotel is okay ... from starting to enter the parking lot the security officer is friendly

Very beautiful hotel but needs some improvement. Very friendly staff and garden grounds/building are very beautiful. Room was beautiful but needs better cleaning and maintenance, especially in the bathroom.
Towels and linens with staines.
Breakfast was disappointing but service was good. Egg selection and fruit was tasty but the rest not very exciting. Some food was overcooked or tasteless.

Historic hotel. Nice. Neat. Beautiful. When entering, there are different nuances from other hotels. The location is very strategic. Near Siola, Tunjungan Plaza, Delta Plaza, BJ Junction, etc. Really downtown. The food is delicious. Friendly waitress.

It was a good place to dine until they serve us a bad food. After reporting, they still charge us for that spoilt food. Other orders was fine and food was delicious. Reasonable price. Good table service. Staff speaks English well.

This is an old hotel but cozy in Surabaya. Located in a strategic place near Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya. The architecture of this hotel is very nice. And this hotel to be one of best cultural heritage in town.

Such a historic place with amazing style. Whilst some may complain it is not perfect in every way I think this is only by those who are so used to luxury every day they have nothing better to do. This is an old building and so will show signs of age as we all can. But luxury is in the service and the feel. This has both but not the price tag. To be frank I felt better here than the Raffles in Singapore .... Where I only drank a sling as not able to afford to stay there. So for me Majapahit has it all. Great staff, fantastic setting with good location and excellent facilities at an affordable price. Only suggestion is to update the towels.

Luxury hotel with a historical concept that has not been changed to a large extent (almost all of which are still retained by the original building). Its location is quite strategic and keeps the history of the city of Surabaya, making the existence of this hotel still recognized today and even more and more known by the community. The service is quite satisfying. The room happens to be the one that can penetrate into the view of the rear garden (located next to the president's suite / back garden which is usually used for wedding / party receptions), the rooms are spacious. Well over all the rooms are quite okay, the facilities in the room are quite complete as well as the interior is unique (using wood and lots of carvings and the majority is indeed a calm atmosphere). Maybe this is what makes people feel the hotel is "haunted" nuances. But while staying there it's safe and even can sleep well haha. Oya This hotel really knows its market share because of the design to the interior is made specifically with a unique concept. Admittedly, those who stay here are mostly foreigners who like thick local cultural concepts. Well for those who like to stay in historical hotels, maybe you can stay here. Nice place nice experience

This hotel from my very first pingin try and finally descent as well, the hotel which serves a blend of Dutch Javanese concept has a very old building but maintained. This hotel supposedly haunted but when I Cobak Ndak there is a problem, which is why another new food is very classy and I temuin no se tasty dishes with the hotel Majapahit

Historic hotel full of classic nuances ... this hotel was built in 1910, so it's 107 years old, but it still looks cool and not outdated. A very historic hotel in the struggle for independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This hotel was named Oranje in the Dutch era, in the Japanese colonial era it was renamed Yamato. Then after independence Indonesia changed to Majapahit hotel. Although it has been built since 1910 but the hotel is still very awake and still comfortable to stay while enjoying the beauty of the architecture of old buildings by Dutch architecture.
