Where is the best place to start? Defects as far as the eye can see! The only bright spot here is the understaffed staff who try to meet the requirements despite being overloaded.
Adventure playground - more weeds than sand - Monkey bars beg for care
Roof terrace (at the restaurant)
- The drainage channel overgrown and full of leaves here we also have loose screws
go Kart - currently closed
Indoor playground - Here the glass door was already broken when we visited 2 years ago
Bowling alley - The balls haven't been that great for a long time And they have probably never been cleaned - Ball dispenser in need of repair
billiards - There are 2 billiard cues available here without tip
Foosball table - Technically perfect, but not usable in the evening because it is poorly lit.
Indoor ski area - According to previous recessions, the conveyor belt in the upper area of the blue slope seems to have been broken for ages - Seating for putting on shoes has long since passed its prime - the equipment we borrowed 2 snowboards, 2 pairs of skis + boots and helmet were in perfect condition and here too the staff was nice and helpful despite the stress of the time
Most of all I felt sorry for the waitress at the counter who had to take care of around 80 thirsty guests in the evenings.
We will look for another hotel nearby for the next time.

Night rest was unfortunately not possible because of the nightly party in the next room. Reception overwhelmed with this problem. Breakfast too expensive. 12.50 scares me away, I only eat 1 roll with jam and 1 cup of coffee search.
Large rooms, everything you need is available. Friendly staff. It is a pity that there is no pool, although there is a sauna. It was very dirty on the balcony where you want to go after the sauna.
We booked the alpine package and had a very nice weekend! The staff was both in advance by mail, as well as at the front desk and in the restaurant very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We had a double room with extra bed and in one more cot. Of course it was a bit tight, but that was not a problem, you're on the way. We will definitely come again!
The room was clean and nice, but there was a lack of disinfectant in the whole hotel. In addition, almost without exception all employees walked around with a mask on their chin or mask under their noses. The restaurant swarmed us shortly after 9:00 p.m. because the kitchen would have closed although the menu said that the kitchen was open until 9:30 p.m. At this point there was still food that was more than bland. The breakfast was mediocre, the benches totally filthy.
The hotel makes the same impression as the restaurants and ski hall: loveless, without concept, decaying, just spend no money (in staff or maintenance / renovation). But the bathroom of my room (101) was leaking down and got from the bathroom over the water through the ceiling (foxing). Positive: The breakfast buffet
We had charged at the Tesla charging station in front and our five-year-old son urgently had to go to the toilet. We asked very politely at the hotel, but at the reception they categorically declined because they weren't allowed to receive day guests due to Corona. I am aware of the current September regulation and this is not true. Everywhere restaurants are allowed to receive gas stations etc. times of day and hotels to open and the hotel parking lot was also full. It was just comfortable and unfriendly not to let our little son go to the toilet for a moment. Incomprehensible.
Very nice and nice hotel with opportunities for young and old. Nice big hotel rooms and several restaurants to eat. Skiing is fantastic there and a small drink in the Apres Ski is also possible here.
Dear team from the Alpincenter or the hotel, since there was no reply to my personal message, now here publicly:
I've been to the boarding hall several times. Yesterday I made the spontaneous decision to stay overnight on the way to HH and booked this morning, everything went smoothly here.
When I arrived, I was initially negatively surprised that the building needed another coat of paint and the entire outdoor area is untidy, i.e. weeds and Co. When I entered I was pleasantly surprised, the foyer and the rooms make an appealing impression. Here and there are signs of wear and tear on the walls and doors, but you can certainly see that everywhere. Strangely enough, my room was at the very end, although the complex didn't seem fully booked, but appearances can be deceiving. In any case, the lights were off and the hallways dark, are they all broken or are you saving electricity? The bathrobe was free, but at over 100 euros for the standard room it should be included. The employee only wanted to offer me the usual slippers, which one usually gets for free, for 10 euros. I declined with thanks.
I save my impression of the ski hall for myself and you, here you only need to look at your reviews on Facebook, I agree with that. You have to do something here, otherwise nobody will come soon.
After the sporty part, I found out that your interior designer is not a winter sports enthusiast. Neither enough opportunities to hang clothes to air, nor the right hangers for it. Strange for a hotel that has an indoor ski area. In addition, there are no shelves at the showers, everything has to be put on the floor.
I think the sauna village on the first floor is funny and good. Only the explanations of the sauna are missing here, i.e. temperature, humidity, etc. Usually, after taking a sauna, you should go out into the fresh air, but it is better to leave that with you. Unless you like pigeon shit. You have plenty of it on your balcony. Even in the flower pots without flowers it is in there, are those pigeon droppings then? You should also cover the floor openings properly and tighten the joints, the tubs for the foot baths look bad. By the way, one of the showers is missing a shelf, the other one is rusty, I don't know which one is better.
At dinner, the busy waiter recommended me - he had to handle the service of the bar, the restaurant and the buffet all by himself - to take the buffet. No sooner said than done and not much expected for 15 euros including soft drinks. But unfortunately that was not achieved. Pasta and sauce cold, rocket mushy and the machine for juice was off. O-Ton: We only have groups that don't get it and other guests aren't in the house. When I pointed out that I'm not a group, I got a juice from the bar. Good deal. Did the busy waiter from the bar wonder why he had to work on three areas on his own, but at times five cooks or other employees were standing behind the counter and chatting? I dont know.
The couple presented in the company's own magazine as the managing director couple were out in the house, but obviously not for quality control.
Well, well. I am curious whether your complaint management is better than your quality management, but the answers to the complaints on Facebook do not suggest that, and how tomorrow's breakfast will look like.
Have a pleasant evening and see you soon - although, it doesn't look like that at the moment.
We are a little disappointed because we expected more and are used to better things from Van der Valk Hotels. It was quite hot in the rooms as there was no air conditioning. The breakfast was ok, but unfortunately not more. We couldn't really use the wellness area as there was no cold water. Neither in the foot baths nor in the showers, an ice bath or similar. Unfortunately there wasn't.
This hotel in the middle of nowhere lives mainly from the guests who want to use the connected ski hall. Basically, the rooms are also in good shape.
However, the price-performance ratio is not right. Given the price of the room and the location of the hotel, it's too expensive. The same goes for the breakfast buffet.
It was a bottomless cheek to have the most expensive combination ticket for the ski hall booked in your room without asking. In this respect, the reception was friendly but downright sneaky. Paying almost 120 per person for an overnight stay with skiing is simply no longer a bargain.
In addition, it was hardly possible to sleep at night because the ski hall was converted into a disco after it was closed in the evening. When the passports of the various parties finally fell silent, a truck rattled outside the door at 6 a.m. to reload the equipment. 100 per room per night is excessive for such a service!
The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff helpful and friendly. There is a star deduction for the not warming water, which I wanted to enjoy after the not insignificantly hard day on the snowboard in the form of a shower. There is a really well-developed sauna area, which I did not use.
We went to the Van der Falk Wittenburg for Christmas brunch today ... The fun costs 32.50 / person, but in the end it is absolutely disappointing. The food was cold and didn't taste good. We saw the waitress once, that's it .. so if you wanted something to drink, you had to help yourself somehow and go looking for someone. The plates have piled up on the table. Most of the food was served in the hallway, where you sometimes had to push past. It wasn't really hygienic. For this price you can expect reasonable food and good service! Absolutely not to be recommended and really a cheeky price!
We liked everything about this hotel Staff / rooms / breakfast / price, you name it. Everything has been thought of !! Only the location disappointed us
Negative: Unfortunately, the breakfast is far below the usual Van Der Valk level. The coffee and the totally artificially watery juices were horrible. At the breakfast rush times you have to bring along a little patience at the buffet.
Due to the high proportion of families, the background noise is also loud, which bothers me in the morning but very. Likewise, I find dogs in the restaurant also inappropriate. At the next table there were three.
Room reserved for booking for 149 , I arrive at 21.30, it turns out that there is no room. The manager offered me a room at the hotel next door for the same price. It turned out that the standard in the other hotel was much lower and the room costs 60 . so I had to pay 149 for a room that is normally rented for 60. Well done you! I thanked and went on.
It's getting worse and worse. Rooms are okay, but the staff speaks bad German and hardly understands one. My ski boots were too tight, I didn't get bigger ones because supposedly there weren't any more, so I paid the price for free. You haven't been able to go ice-skating for two years now, at breakfast they are so overwhelmed during the holidays that they can't even make fried eggs or pancakes, although they usually do that was very disappointing, especially during the holidays with the children. The staff were not ready because it was too full.
We are thrilled, we felt very comfortable in the hotel next door, we booked the all-inclusive package (with overnight stay) and that is simply awesome, there is food and drink from 11: 30-21: 00 pulse coffee and cake. .. everything tastes delicious. We had a lot of fun, I am very sorry for people who are just looking for quirks and mistakes everywhere and come with the focus ... instead of using the valuable time with the family, I do not pay attention to the facilities, it is warm, clean delicious and it is a lot of fun to spend two days with the family together ... it is just great when you can fall asleep in the evening completely broken off by the skier after a delicious dinner in a warm bed with a satisfied smile.
Nice rooms, great beds and good breakfast. We were lucky enough to have a bath but the water was not really hot enough to get a bath. Kettle and coffee / tea in the room.
The ski fun is ok 4 stars, the culinary side 2 stars. Service rarely experienced so below average. The Kaiserschmarren takes 45 minutes. needed to us. It's a shame for "Van der Valk", seen much better. Always recommended from a sporting point of view. Affiliated hotel with sauna area very neat and clean. Booked one night for this experience. Overall 3 stars
Certainly a good thing for skiers. The meals in the restaurant were solala. Service is a foreign word. If you like that, you've come to the right place. The ski hall looks great!
The price / performance ratio is catastrophic. The food is ok but not anymore. Should a vegetarian eat there, only leaves are left without tomatoes or anything else. The room was awful. The shower only produced lukewarm water. When I noted this and asked for it to be fixed, everything was ok. The lady at the front desk said it will be done. It was later said that the error had been fixed. It wasn't. When I showered in the morning I found again that the water was only lukewarm again. When I complained, it was only said, "If several people shower it can happen and it is still lukewarm and not cold". That is probably more than a cheek. In addition, the room was not particularly clean. You could also vacuum under the table. I will never stay there again.
Clean hotel room, decent breakfast, good with free parking, helpful and friendly staff. 3-person room for 143 euros. Indoor resorts (which I didn't test). Recommended.
The hotel has got a go facelift. But the price has also increased. And the food has become of a poorer quality .. and the service is poor especially in the bar ...
Was closed despite booked and paid rooms. Would have been great if you were informed beforehand that you would be transferred to another hotel and asked if you wanted it at all
Simply beautiful, ski - to practice it all times enough ... Price great performance ... Nice staff ... Clean rooms. Sauna is good ... food could be a bit better but you should not forget the price at the "complain" :-) I was there three times ... Nice stay, thank you ...
One of the best places in the entire region no matter if it's about hotel accommodation ski weekend ski course or just going on a Saturday evening with good music and apres ski party. Warmly recommended throughout the season
We had booked 10 days. Absolutely no trace of a 4 star hotel. Eat like in a canteen, put your cutlery and plates on some trolley yourself. Food partially lukewarm. Two thirds of the offers on offer could not be used (because they were closed or defective). And basically the excuse: EVERYTHING FOR CORONA. Nobody says they are only saving on staff. Absolutely NOT recommendable at the moment!
We were there over the weekend. The rooms were very nice and lovingly furnished ... But that's it for the positive. We had a la carte in the restaurant upstairs on Friday. We waited an incredible 1.5 hours for our food - the waitresses were completely overwhelmed despite the fact that only 10 tables were occupied. Everything was pushed onto a menu that had just been introduced - the waiters didn't know how to answer a question directly. The manager ran up and down spreading even more control ... Price-performance ratio was okay.
Breakfast on Saturday at 9am. The buffet swept empty hardly anything there ... unfortunately the same for lunchtime ... full hut 2 people behind the output - completely overwhelmed .. For dinner the identical ... ice cold eat everything empty at 7pm and completely stressed unfriendly employees.
In the evening we wanted to use the all-inclusive offer at the bar ... (we had booked an old offer) An absolute rip off. Almost nothing is included in space. You have to pay for almost everything. The waiters completely overwhelmed ... 2 people behind the counter arguing and you were completely ignored with the tape on your arm ...
The ski hall was very nice. Very good for beginners.
We have been there several times and except for phones faulty elevators nothing negative to report. Breakfast for the price very commendable. Thank you, see you next time.
Very friendly helpful staff. Every wish was fulfilled, additional persons for breakfast, care of the bouquets, special wishes with the food, loving support of our grandparents. The motto of the weekend: "no problem" Many thanks to the whole team
Deluxe room modern but lovelessly furnished, the worst: the double bed, which is why we had taken the most expensive room, was actually 2 bad single beds and led to insomnia all night because we had to keep pushing the mattresses together. The staff is mostly very unprofessional or unfriendly. Visiting the reception was three times a test of patience. 4 stars cover an appropriately furnished resort that needs to be overhauled from the outside in order not to have charm of upscale social housing. In particular, the terrible back yard that you have to cross to get to Toni's game world should be spared hotel guests.
The stay here was really great, the room was very cozy, breakfast was plentiful even if you came a little later than eight or nine o'clock. The staff super friendly. Thanks for this great time.
Goods on 28.12.2018 in the Alpincenter in the Alpincenter. The small catering part of the apparently also from the hotel Hamburg-Wittenburg Van der Valk Gmbh is managed with what daa food is under all cannon or to express it politely. Absolutely not recommended. The fries not fry and still raw and the Currywurst chubby and bland as if she has been bathing in the sauce for three weeks. the service Peronal (although friendly) interested the 0.0. I do not expect Gurmet food in such a facility but still a minimum of quality. For me and friends, like family a reason not to go back. Although there was nothing else to complain about the area. Will leave my money next time in Bispingen in Snowdome.
Super good, always nice and friendly, absolute family hotel including dog, wellness, good food and time to relax. Always my pleasure. Only toothpicks are missing
Absolutely not recommended. The stench was unbearable. The bathroom is so disgusting that you are afraid to go in without your shoes. The pillows are unreasonable and when asked for a normal pillow, there was only the unfriendly statement that there was only the pillow. Staff is overwhelmed and unfriendly. 2.5 euros extra for the use of the sauna area and despite the overcrowded hotel only one of three saunas is open.
Here the hotel management has to take action and invest money in training and renovation.
Unusually long waiting times in the Ala Carte restaurant, playgrounds neglected with a lot of weeds, in the Rappelkiste a lot of defects and carelessly.
Rooms are nice and ideal for skiing. If everything was taken care of properly, there would be a huge improvement.
Ski hall closed. Open only to professional athletes. All others stand in front of the glass and can watch from afar. Sauna also closed. Eating and drinking relatively expensive for the very high prices. Very disappointing for me.
Very great short vacation, very nice rooms with great, large, new bathroom, walk-in shower. Had half board, delicious food, great breakfast and evening buffet the hammer. Staff very friendly. We also had a lot of fun with bowling, darts, billiards, foosball, air hockey and table tennis. Ski hall great. Would love to come again. Kind regards from Fam. S. from Grossenhain
