Friendly staff and quality service! They follow in absolute and strictly all the prescribed health protocols. At the same time the spaces from the entrance to the toilets are excellent and everything is very carefully even in the smallest detail! The food at Roof Garden is amazing and with the view in front of you it reaches perfection! It is located in an amazing place in the heart of the center of Athens, Greece and culture.-

Perfect in every way but you have to pay for perfection. Great location. Good bars and restaurants. Rooftop bar and restaurant have spectacular views of the Acropolis - especially at sunset. Wonderful New Year Gala dinner.

Great hotel and luxury. Definitely a grand dame of all the worldwide hotels. Roof top bar and restaurant is a must.

Unacceptable behavior and "hospitality" during the GC of Ethniki. "We do not have much (water bottles)" was the meltdown between a meter and a waitress ... Which Grande Bretagne ... And one star is a lot ...

Wonderful hotel. I have stayed over 15 times in the royal suite. Everything is wonderful. The food is amazing as the pool, the view, the staff, etc. You deserve a lot of congratulations !!!

We went for our standard Christmas tea and it was great, despite the 45 minute wait in the lobby. Wonderfully decorated space, great tastes and service, beautiful piano tunes.

Location exceptional. Suite divine. Rooftop restaurant with Acropolis view splendid. Staff at the Rooftop were much kinder than the reception staff. My only advice is don t take your car. Parking there is horrendous. Takes a half hour for the parking man to bring it back and additional payment is required. Otherwise top notch accommodation.

Fabulous hotel right on Syntagma square, how wonderful! Restaurant with roof garden overlooking Athens, breathtaking view, so beautiful as to remain hours and hours to observe. The prices are very high but the quality, the service, the location are really of the highest level.

Great, just so! The crown jewel of luxury, high aesthetics and long tradition! One of the oldest hotels in Athens carries with it the legends of its famous visitors !!!! And that seems everywhere! It is a must for city visitors but also for Athenians!

Restaurant: dishes as beautiful as tasty. Great choice in wine, from several countries. Champagne very good.
No complaints about the service too, very nice servers. The view is superb. I recommend without hesitation.

Bar: Very nice view also but not on the Acropolis, which is only a detail. Great selection of drinks. What a wonderful time.

1874. Located in the center of Athens, it welcomes key figures from different countries. Acropolis can be seen from the terrace. GB roof garden. The seafood salad looks really delicious.

The hotel for me is not expensive. For some it can .. But what to do. We are not all equal Great suites, awesome food, incredible design, Spa all the money we need to relax and snooze the poor ! Thank u next, Ariana

My preferred place to start or end an Athens visit. Balanaces center of action, old world charm, magnificent views, and modern convenience.

I was lucky enough to stay for a few days during a business convention. There is only one word to define it: FABULOUS. Everything, and I repeat everything, is exceptional. It is certainly the best hotel in the city. View of Syntagma Square and the Hellenic Parliament. Obviously the price is related to the magnificence that you will find. For once in a lifetime it is worth taking away this whim.

This map location is wrong. Grande Bretange is on the other side of the hill, in Syntagma square next to the parliament. You will be lost if you use this marker (smarker at 4th June 2013). It will cause you to engage in an incomprehensible argument with your taxi driver, and any locals!

Historic and unique! Nevertheless, its renewal in some areas will definitely be an additional "plus" ...

A beautiful,luxurious hotel in the Athens heart so classy... A little jewel for Athens and the oldest hotel of the city.

This hotel is all about service and comfort. Its clean, quite, breakfast was great (take the Eggs Benedict), and it's so centrally located that I didn't use any transportation during my stay.
The fitness center is great too, and the spa is welcoming and rich with facilities such as pool and several hot rooms with different types of scents.

What a beautiful place for a sumptuous dinner! Service was excellent and the food was as splendid as the view.

Perfect place for afternoon tea or brunch at the Winter Garden

Phenomenal. Rooftop restaurant is gorgeous and food is delicious (order the stuffed calimari). Maybe it's because we were upgraded, but we received a fresh basket of fruit every morning, and a bottle of champagne and a Greek cognac upon check in. Treated with exactly the kind of service you'd expect when staying somewhere so nice. If you are choosing between this and the King George (also Marriott), I would choose this one because it's bigger, nicer gym, pool, and the GB restaurant is rooftop and open air. Though the KG looks like it may have been more recently renovated.

Amazing hotel, with exceptional staff. We travel with kids, and having staff that are friendly and accommodating with the kids, is always a plus for us. The view from the restaurant terrace is fantastic. The Mastic liqueur was a nice touch.

Like my home away from home. Perfect location. Excellent staff. Impeccable facilities and oh boy, what a phenomenal view. Can t wait to come back.

Great hotel. Rooms nice and staff friendly and helpful. Located next to Syntagma station for ease if getting around and next to the Parliament/ time if solider for watching changing of the guard and walking distance to Acropolis. Great view by day and night of Acropolis from restaurant.

Clean classy amazing location and the spa is one of the best spas world wide

Hotel is centrally located with great rooftop views, however our very luxe room just looked a bit dusty like the whole place needed a deep clean. The staff was extremely rude except for our butlers who were polite when we met them but then never heard from them again after introduction (we paid for 24-7 butler service so would have appreciated being asked if we needed anything or offered a drink or whatever. They literally did nothing)
