I just happen to be there when James Smith was there with his family today. His child was running around, touching EVERYTHING with extremely dirty hands. They asked him three or four times to keep their child in check, and they ignored every request. I get it, the kid is young, but that is a family run shop, and you guys should do a better job of controlling your kid.

Arthur is a genius!! I brought my new Martin there for a setup and two days later I got the smoothest sweetest guitar back. Thanks to all you guys there and I ll definately go back every time I need anything. Best shop in the area. I have no idea who would give them less than 5 stars.

Stopped in with my wife and daughter for a cymbal stand. Young gentlemen there who helped me was very attentive and knowledgeable. Other two older guys followed my wife and 3 year old around and reminding them how expensive things were. Just have to make your point once!! Kind of silly but made the experience a little stressful...just to buy a cymbal stand.
Very bad we went to rent an instrument for my son which they did not have but they were going to ask for him to arrive it was supposed to be on a Monday and they never called us to tell us if the instrument arrived or not and when we went to ask they told us that we should wait for that they called us but they never did
One of the guys is kinda a know it all .....And not in a good way ,and they are a little over priced .
Very experienced and kind people. My son was looking at an electric guitar recently and one of the gentleman sat outside in the disgusting heat for 35 minutes and helped and played with my son. They have very good quality guitars as well

I have always had a great experience every time I go into Rockland Music they fixed the input plug on my Epiphone Dot which is a Semi Hollow Body guitar and it is an extremely difficult job to do and he didn't even charge me much for the job I love going into Rockland Music they treat you great from the moment you walk in the door the staff is totally professional and they know what they are talking about I don't get out that often because of my back injuries but they always make it worth my while Rockland Music is a great store

I wish I could give them no stars!!!! My daughter has a Les Paul Guitar that they butchered. All the electronics never worked after they claimed they fixed it. We waited along time for this to be done. Al the brothers do is bad mouth one another and all other music stores in the area. We should have walked out then. All they wanted to do is sell us a new guitar. We needed to go to another music shop to get the repairs done properly. I have pictures to prove it. BUYER BE WARE!!!! WARNING DO NOT BUY OR GET ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! THEY ARE OVERPRICEF AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Very knowledgeable, honest and helpful staff. I've never visited personally, but my mom has been here many times with her guitar for parts and repairs. Recently she brought her guitar here when it stopped working after falling down. The employee who helped her opened the guitar, found the problem internally and fixed it on the spot FREE OF CHARGE. She was floored with their helpfulness and overall generosity and knowledge of their products. I googled this business just so I could review and recommend them to potential customers. If I were a musician, this is the place I'd go to for my instrument needs.

Been here many times to pick up a few small items and the staff were always very friendly and very knowledgeable. On my recent trip, I was shopping for a new digital piano and I got real honest answers and no pressure in the sales process. Ultimately with the great help form the staff, I did indeed buy the piano along with a few accessories. Will be back again!
These guys are the best! My guitar was dropped by a friend of mine and had all kinds of problems and I was ready to pay a bunch of money and have to leave my guitar there for days as most places do but they had someone to help me almost immediately even tho the place was super busy. They heard me out checked out my axe and did it all right there on the spot! Not only that but it was dirt cheap and took no more than 15 mins! The guys there are great to talk to and absolutely every one of them knows their music! They have ridiculously knowledgeable teachers there to and they let u plug in and play any guitar u wanna buy! It s like a musicians dream I would def recommend this place 100% to absolutely everyone they rule!! I don t go anywhere else unless I have to!
his business is owned and operated by a tsmall family who are friendly, dedicated and a joy to do business with. They go to the plate for their customers and they stop at nothing until you are totally satisfied. It is a great environment to talk music, purchase gear, or just hang out. I couldn't recommend Rockland music enough. They have been my go-to dealer for the last 10 years and will continue to be for 10 years to come.
Brought an electric guitar here for a setup in a pinch during the lockdowns- was searching for a luthier in the area.
Dude at the front was really nice and accommodating, but the tech/luthier who called me back when the guitar was ready was condescending about the brand of the guitar, and how he'd never seen this type of guitar before. I know some of these guys have egos, but come on. Who cares about the brand?
The tech also mentioned that the finish on my pickguard was peeling off; it wasn't when I brought it in.
To add insult to injury: aside from the mediocre setup, I had a signature on the back of the guitar (no one famous, just someone special to me) which they nearly wiped off entirely.
I generally only post positive reviews, since anyone can have a random bad experience, but I trusted this place with my favorite guitar, and they trash-talked the brand, did a half-decent job on the setup, damaged the pickguard, and wiped off an autograph.
Warm, helpful, and knowledgeable staff, the guys here also do incredible guitar repair work. I've taken lessons here for years on and off, and every teacher I have been with (Eugene, Jimmy, Adam, R.D.), all did a great job. From guitar, to bass, to keyboards, and beyond, the guys here have helped to steer my in the right direction each and every time. Thanks Guys!
The one time I went here years ago for help on my talk box, I was told I would not get help because I did not buy the talk box from them. I was surprised. Since then I've gone to stores further away for service.
