Orloff Hotel Review

This hotel is one of the most BEAUTIFUL hotels that I have stayed in. I have visited Hydra many times which is included in the 3 island tour from Piraeus, but, I always wanted to stay longer and staying here makes it so very lovely. I am booking for the second year in a row!! --Lisa, United States

I came to Orloff again a few years ago. The owners are welcoming you and guiding you to their place of experience! In combination with the history of Hydra becomes shocking !!!

The rooms were very dirty and filthy.
Staff was rude. Everything is overpriced.
Never again. It's a Horror Show.

Seems not very busy when I arrived on da Island Hydra so da reception was empty and I decided 2 leave without any Room 4 me. Not a great service for a spontaneous trip to da Island, only 1 Star 4 all da cats on da Island

We booked directly for a couple nights. After we discovered that the rooms were dirty, beds very old and the mattress filthy and asked to kindly fix this the manager snapped at us (!!) rudely. We left the premisses immediately and were never re-funded.

Never again.

A very nice place in the perfect location with the amazing view of the harbor of the brilliant Hydra island.
Very reasonable prices and nice service apart from a lunchtime. Anyway, there are many convenient facilities available for the guests.
All in all, I do recommend this place for the short and long term staying. I liked it much.

I arrived to learn that the hotel did not have either electric power or water. While this might not have been their fault, they had been aware of that, had my contact information and made no effort to notify me prior to me taking a ferry to the island. They provided me with a flashlight, a bucket and opened a window for me. I am 72 years old and this was not my idea of a pleasant stay at a hotel that charged me $240 for each night. I could not even have my reservation and therefore payment canceled. Power was not restored for another 36 hours and I spent most of the time outside and seeking out places to just sit that had generators and electric. What is most upsetting is that they refused to even discuss even a discount for my lovely stay. No shower, no light, no air....wouldn't anyone be upset. They advertise themselves as a boutique hotel. What they are not is humane and very greedy.

The hotel is very nice, the deal with the excellent staff, the beautiful rooms. They let us shower after having checked out. I do not put 5 stars for breakfast. The one that arrives first has everything but the last one that arrives has only the leftovers. For the price of the room they could have better breakfast. For everything else highly recommended

The room was dirty and the bed had big stains. Very rude staff. Never again.

Wow! What a wonderful hotel and a wonderful holiday we have just had on Hydra in Greece.

It makes such a big difference to the whole holiday experience when the hotel is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful such as the staff at Orloff. You could not have asked for better.

We are planning on making a return and will definitely use Orloff again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Hydra.

Thank you so much once again for your courtesy and company and guidance throughout our stay. (We especially loved the home made cake by Leda at breakfast!)

One of the nicest hotels! Mansion! Staff very kind! Very good location, very close to the port! Really worth it though the prices are pretty pinched I admit
