Three of us stayed at Hotel Erwin for two nights and had a great time there! We were super lucky and were upgraded to a partial ocean view king suite. Very nice room and plenty of space for us. We also rented the bikes and the valet parking was great. All staff was super friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay again and it's worth the price. The rooftop bar has a nice view but the drinks are pretty mediocre and too expensive for what you get.

I have been going to this hotel for 30 years. It has upgraded at least 4 times and each time it has been amazing. I can't see how they can make it any better. Miguel has been there for over 15 years and you'll never find a better front desk person. The whole staff is and has always been the best. Obviously the owner must take care of his employees because everyone has the best attitude you'll ever find. Thank, see you soon

The most reputable hotel to stay with. From their front disk, Alex assisted me and found me the best room that would fit me. I was not expecting He could be this nice, brilliant, and effective for his jobs. It was a nice experience for me for the first time. I strongly recommend this place to all of my colleagues and friends for sure.

Convenient location and unbelievably beautiful roof deck. However, room was slightly smelly, I could hear knocking from my neighbor, decent internet costs money, and there's a severe shortage of outlets in the room (had to unplug my lamp which was plugged into an outlet behind the bed in order to charge my phone).

If I could I would give it a no star. While I was staying here I witnessed two paying customers arrested and accused of trespassing. They we're Guests Who Paid $$$ to stay there. I found out that they we're part of a 5 room purchase for their business retreat. Of course this was because they are humans who have melanated skin. It is a racist establishment and they should be ashamed. If you choose to stay here after reading this, it is because you don't want racism to end or think its not your responsibility. It's all of our responsibility to take an active role in ending white supremacy culture. There are other options. Now that you know it's on you.

The parking is not free it's$38 a day. There are nice touches that personalize the hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The restaurant is small but has an outside option. It is clean and has a well stocked mini bar and snack section.

Great experience. Staff perfect. Epic View room even better. Modern, clean. Good beds and linens. Great amenities: towels, bikes, sunscreen, daily free cocktail, cool roof bar. Perfect, perfect location to experience Venice. Not cheap but very satisfied with value.

This is a little gem of a hotel in the middle of Venice and just a block off the beach with plenty of destinations within walking distance. The rooftop lounge is a highlight, offering fantastic views in all directions. The staff are really friendly and helpful and made my stay pleasant. The rooms are spacious with great amenities.

Funky and under remodel, but right in the heart of Venice. The rooftop bar has probably the most beautiful view of Santa Monica Bay I've ever seen. Service was super friendly, I was stuck in the back alley and they talked me into the valet over the phone, even being really busy. Didn't see any rooms, the vibe is young and eclectic, but this is Venice, and I'm neither LOL. Go and enjoy.

Really charming boutique hotel a block off of the beach in Venice. Can't beat the location. The rooms are comfortable, and the staff is wonderful. I wish they had more amenities in the building, though they have partnerships to try and confront that (ex: you can get free day passes to gold gym because they don't have one onsite).

Its not as great as the advertising would have you believe. The views to the outdoor beach are only good in six rooms. Rooftop bar is nice but limited to daytime access even to geusts of the Hotel. But The staff is very nice and the location to the muscle beach boardwalk is good. And There's no smoking area near the hotel at all not even on the rooftop.

I booked this hotel because of the 3.5 star rating on Hotwire and expected a nice room with a great view. Unfortunately the disappointment started upon arrival. After checking into my room, I looked out the window and saw the view of the local alley-way instead of the beachfront as was advertised. I immediately contacted the front desk to change rooms and was first told by the clerk that another room was available but somehow after checking with her manager, I was told that room was no longer available.Strange! Instead I was offered free breakfast at their tiny restaurant and free valet parking (which saved me $30 dollars a day). The hotel is fairly old and has been updated to the modern look that you see in the pictures. The room and bathroom is small and furniture can be described as Target chic. Definitely not worth the price I paid. Although the room was close to the beach, a nicer place even a bit father away would have been a 100x better. This place may be a step up for those who generally stay at a cheap motel, but its definitely not 3.5 stars. I would rate it a 1.5-2 stars. Its not family friendly and you are asked to have a reservation if wanting to eat at their roof-top restaurant.

The rooftop has great views of Venice and the surrounding area. Nice vibe and location, friendly staff. Rooms were clean with a balcony/view as well. Consider an jacket if you'll staying on the roof into the night :)

You'll have to put your child's name down at birth for them to hope to get a reservation here, but you can also just come for a drink at the bar and watch the sunset like a classic LA movie scene, looking out across Venice Beach. It's overpriced and pretentious but the view are unbeatable.

Beautiful redesign of the rooftop lounge. The seating is intimate, food delicious and atmosphere casual and laid back. The staff is also very friendly. PLUS they allowed me to bring my puppy upstairs too.
Note: the rooftop is 21+ so bring ID.

Really nice hotel for the area it's in. Beautiful balcony beach views from the back rooms and rooftop. Nice staff especially the doorman Randall.( I believe that's his name ) These Venice streets are rough over here so stay watchful, prayerful and vigilant leaving the hotel. Lol

Nice hotel over all. Great location near the beach. The room is pretty modern and well maintained. My biggest complaint is that the shower had low pressure and it took extra time to fully wash off soap.

Room was nice, customer service was great, this has a rooftop bar which we did not visit as it was closed due to the wind. Great location for walking Venice Beach but after dark I was not comfortable walking around outside with my young child. Great place if you want to party. Parking was expensive.

The "bouncer" of the bar (same entry as hotel) takes his role too much to heart, he hesitated to let me order room hotel with my bike then the home was cold and he and the woman of the reception refused that I ride my bike (3 bags + 2 backpacks ...) in my room !! First time in 22 days of road trip from Seattle ... at 350th the night, that they go to be put, for which I pay if I have not even the right to this minimum service ???? Anything, they're lucky that it's 8pm and I'm pretty slammed with my 89miles of bike so I do not have the motivation to look elsewhere.

From outside it's not that impressive. However the Rooftop Lounge has a unique, fun and romantic vibe. The food and drinks are pricey, but not more than most fancier locations in Venice. The view from the Rooftop is great, and the way the seating is set up allows for peace and privacy.

Overall great hotel. 4 stars because the bathroom floor was weirdly uneven and slanted and the elevator takes FOREVER to come. The ocean view is great from the 4th, 5th and 6th floors. Can't really see much from the ocean view rooms on the 3rd floor and below.

Great views from the rooftop. Layout needs a bit of work since its hard to get around, especially when crowded. Crazy sunset though, very nice for a date if you can find a cozy spot on the couch.

I had a discount.... $248.00 per night... They billed me 379.00. It was an average Hilton, not a 379.00 value for one night.
Venice is not anything I imagined. It was filthy and borderline vile.
Spend your money elsewhere.....
