Superb place with a great sunset ... the downside: endless queue at the bar and no table service

It was my first time visiting the hotel, now I just went for the Rooftop bar, since I live an hour drive from Venice. The bar has a great Atmosphere, loved it, the drink menu is pretty creative, but heavy on vodka drinks. Great place to watch the sunset with friends, drinks and a great atmosphere.

Great views. Great sliders. Worth the $5 cover before it gets crowded. Amazing sunset. Small elevator. Good dj night we went. Quick bar service. $24 beer pitchers on tap.

I stayed in room with such a wonderful sea view and all new refurbished and super clean fresh.

The cool thing about the Hotel Erwin is obviously their rooftop bar/lounge right on Venice Beach. No where on Venice Beach can compare to this ambiance. Outside of that though, everything about it is average. They make some good specialty drinks that are super expensive and the food is pretty ordinary. The sunsets, however, can't be beat.

The rooftop is nice, with great views, although it can be a bit cramped.

Went for drinks at Rooftop Lounge. Highly recommend getting reservations. It's a very busy bar. Views are amazing.

If you paid me to stay at this hotel, i wouldn't. That's how horrible their service is! I could write a book on their unprofessional customer service especially for Mr. Nee, their GM! It makes me wonder if the employees went to school or someone hired them from the street. Avoid at all costs; there are so many other and better hotels in Venice.

Awesome roof top bar. Really nice staff and a beautiful view over the beach and ocean. We would definitely recommend this place!!

Called to cancel my reservation 48 hours ahead of booking date. Was told I was 1 hour over and couldn't be done. Finally got someone to OK it but then they charged me anyways and said they had no record of the call. Total scam will not return to Erwin after staying here for years.

Stopped by for some finger food and drinks at the high lounge on the roof. Everything is pretty pricey but it's a nice rooftop lounge in Venice so that's expected. Great view, great drinks, great grub.

Awesome rooftop bar (High!) that provides a great vantage point for watching the sunset. Drink prices were pretty expensive but other than that it was great!

Rooms are small the furnishing sub par. The shampoos are not high end. But worst of all was that it only has one elevator for the entire place plus the rooftop bar. Expect to wait five minutes or more for it regularly.

The location is dope though. But the hotel itself was weak. Not worth the price point.

After a week stay here experiencing art, music, the boardwalk, long swims out into the pacific, and amazing culture, loved every moment here. The staff was super nice and courteous and in the West I can think of no finer place to see a sunset than on the rooftop high perch right here on Venice Beach. What a place. Truly inspiring.

TOP LOCATION, right on Venice Beach. And you can pay for that. Meanwhile outrageous prices. Very friendly service, great roof terrace.

I loved Hotel Erwin! There is an incredible roof top restaurant and bar. The views are beautiful. You can see the entire Venice Beach Boardwalk. The roof top is higher then any other surrounding building. You feel like you're on top of the world. I highly recommend!!!

Highly recommend. Amazing location almost right on the boardwalk. Even the 'partial' view rooms have a great view and the suites are huge. Rooftop bar was closed due to weather but the lobby bar is fun with a wide drink and food selection. Will stay here again if in the area.

Went here for the rooftop bar. Great 360 degree views of the area overlooking the beach. Drinks are pricey but you're paying for the view.

I had an ocean facing room that was awesome. Room was clean and really premium quality

Excellent location for exploring Venice. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Spacious suite, and the bed is very comfortable. The rooftop lounge can't be missed. It gets packed up there, so either come earlier or make a reservation.

This is an awesome place to stay near Venice Beach, had a good view of the beach sunset from the balcony of my room. Can't for summer to come and hit the beach again.

Best hotel in Venice! Maybe even LA. Super friendly staff and an amazing roof top.

Close to beach. Third floor is actually one floor above the lobby. The room had a couple flies flying around it, maybe the balcony door had previously been open. Quiet, good air conditioning.

I haven't stayed at this hotel; however, this is review for their rooftop bar. Super classy and a great experience to go with a group! Go at sunset for a stunning view!

Trust, you re in LA, you re gonna wanna stop by this place and then walk down rent a surf board for less than $10 and go ride some waves

Spent a few hours at the rooftop bar. Crazy prices, but they don't have any competition so it makes sense. Parking is awful. Drinks were pretty good, view would be great but for how polluted and awful LA is. Nice atmosphere, nice space.

Great roof top bar, with fantastic drinks and an amazingview of Venice Beach and the ocean. Great place to spend a weekend afternoon.

This place has an amazing rooftop. You get to watch the sunset over the coast line with the view of Santa Monica Beach. You can't beat the location. Of course it chances of place being packed is high. We were able to request a seat and get one while sipping our cocktails and beer. I highly recommend it.

Long line for drinks and bar was closing early due to short staff.
