It s a little spendy, but this is a perfect date spot to watch the sun set. Great drinks and service.

Rooftop bar is a lot of fun. You need a reservation. It has a great view and pretty good food and drinks.

Great hotel right on the beach with super friendly staff and a sweet rooftop bar. Many private rooms offer balconies, some with beach views. Only negative is that hotel has a single, painfully slow elevator - fortunately there are only 6 floors.

Hotel ideally located in the heart of Venice Beach trendy and friendly. Free bike loan. Terrace bar with view but open until 22h week and midnight on weekends, so potentially a little noise in the rooms on the upper floors.

Hung out on the rooftop and had some drinks. Also went to Barlo for some happy hour grub which was tasty.

We stayed there one night and were scammed/ We has a special rate that was confirmed at last minute when we called and when we checked in,. When my bill charges appeared on my credit card we were billed for twice the amount they had told us . Besides that , it was a DUMP. seriously !! there are better places for so much less !

Stayed there over a weekend. Beautiful rooms. Parking is tight in the area but it s Venice. Plenty of restaurants and it s right on the beach.

The wait to get a table at the rooftop was long, and it was a bit chilly and windy, however, watching the sunset from up there was still worth it!!

Hotel was clean, hallways smelled a bit damp... But not moldy.

Went around 12:30pm on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a table at the high lounge. Drinks were great, and the view was pretty amazing. Our server was also very helpful and was good at periodically checking in with us to see if we needed anything. It is a little pricey but that is on par for the area. Would definitely recommend reserving a spot on the west facing side of the building.

Room was fine but the floor I'm on is under major renovation. I can't get to my room via the elevator or main stairway.

The rooftop bar was the perfect place for a recent work happy hour. It has a great view as well as good food and drinks.

The hotel is smack dab in the middle of Venice, within walking distance of any activity you could want. Beach, dining, shops, are all nearby. The rooms are newly remodeled, look great, and the stuff are super friendly and helpful. I've stayed here once a year for the past 4 years and don't plan on going anywhere else my next trip.

I had an incredible stay at The Hotel Erwin. Their customer service is unparalleled. Mohit and Christy were especially helpful and made my guest and I feel so welcome. The views are amazing, the rooftop bar is perfect. The rooms are so clean, modern and well designed. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Roof bar fantastic view drinks good and generous with booze

If you're ever looking for a place to watch the sunset with an overpriced beverage, this is a wonderful option. Comfy seating (though I'd call to verify it's not all booked if you're going on a weekend), solid ambiance, and fire pits for when the horrifyingly frigid 65 degree winds come off the ocean.

Great hotel in the middle of Venice Beach. Walking distance to the gym, beach, strand, canals and restaurants. Amazing views from their roof deck.

Review for the rooftop bar, not the hotel. Nice rooftop view. Drinks are OK but the atmosphere is the best. Make a reservation for sunset or go on the later side to get seating.

Well, so far so good stay here. That was a great stay. Our hotel room was clean and has a very comfy bed. Very friendly and well accommodating front desk staff. Everything in this hotel was cool and great. Great job.

I haven't stayed here, but as a local I frequent the Roof Top High Bar. It's fantastic and made it into a cpl of our vlogs on youtube/rollwithit

Didn't stay here, just came for drinks in their rooftop bar. Unfortunately it was closed because of the wind. We were disappointed especially when we have realized that my friend has lost a cell phone. However, a very nice receptionist was very responsive and kind in helping us find it. So this is just a thank you note really! :)

I was staying in the hotel and witnessed Hotel Security treating guessed of color in a demeaning way and trespassing kicking them out off the Hotel for no reason and having some of them arrested. I will never stay at this Hotel Again!!

Unfortunately, the ' beach view' isn't 100% a front view so unless you are on the balcony, you actually don't see the sea which is in fact on the side!

PRO: very nice location. Comfy bed. Awesome staff!
CON: everything but quiet ... Don't even think of going to bed before 2-3am... The roof top is super loud! Absolutely avoid this hotel if this is to have some rest.

Great location and roof bar. Borrowed one of their bikes and took in Santa Monica, Bel Air and Beverly Hills. They also offer free Gold's Gym passes which I didn't have time to use but is a great complimentary if you go to the gym.

Love the rooftop bars in town and this place is one of the great spots in town. If you a type of person who loves the ocean and the sunset view while having a drink or two or even a pitcher, then this rooftop bar/restaurant is the best spot for you to come visit and check out. The crowd are mostly young and casual which makes the vibe amazing. The staff are friendly and happy at what they doing which adds to you visit experience and makes it more enjoyable and memorable. I must say their drinks can be bit cheaper not overpriced as they are now, so if you looks for cheaper drinks that s not the place for you (lol)
This place is over looking Venice walk and all the shops without missing the great scenery of the palm trees and the ocean. Don t hesitate to hit me up for more information or questions about this place. Keep up the good job guys

The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Our room overlooked the beach and it was very open and beautiful. Parking is $10 but still cheaper than the surrounding parking.

Let me preface this by saying I have never written a review before but after my stay here I felt like I had to share. I was on a work trip in la for about a month and was in and out of this hotel during that time.
I arrived to the hotel at 3 am after my flight was delayed with two suitcases and the person sitting on the front desk couldn't stand up from doing nothing to give me a hand with my bags-let alone open the doors.
The rooms here are nothing special. My shower had no hot water or pressure even after I called the front desk and was assured they'd fix it. I also couldn't find a fridge in my room and I asked one of the employees and they told me there wasn't one. A week later when I was rechecking into the hotel I found out that every room has a fridge they just forgot to give me a key.
My company had made two reservations back to back at the Erwin so I had requested that I stay in the same room which seemed to be no problem at all. When I left for work the next morning they called me telling me that I had to get out of that room causing a huge inconvenience.
I had a car for a couple of days that I parked in their lot never being told that I would be charged $42 a night until my last night there. How do you not tell your guests that they have to pay for parking?? The lady at the front desk assumed I knew there was a fee because every place in la has a fee.....I'm clearly not from la that's why I'm staying at the hotel.
I hated staying here. The staff made me feel insignificant (I had been staying here for 3 weeks and every time I tried to go to my room the same guy asked to see my key to make sure I was a guest) no one ever offered to help with my bags, they were too busy on their cell phones. Also the bar upstairs is a joke. Get ready to listen to the worst music, watch girls take selfies, and pay waaaaaay to much for food and drinks. And don't bother sitting down in one of the many empty tables, you will be asked to move in the least polite way.

It's nice, clean, a good location. The only issue I had there regularly was that you hear the street noise very loudly (woke me up a few times).

Great beachfront hotel with an awesome rooftop bar that s perfect for catching sunset with a cold drink in hand. Boutique hotel with cool vibe and unique decorations throughout. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the hotel is doung all the right things for Covid 19. Team at the hotel is super friendly and accommodating, especially Amy who runs sales and marketing. Highly recommended!

We stopped at the rooftop bar after dinner. Good, but pricey drinks. Heaters at every table and blankets to borrow.

Maybe the best location to stay in Venice. Can see the ocean from balcony if you face the sea. Rooms are spacious and well presented. Bed is comfortable. Service desk seemed a little vague but helpful and pleasant... and it is LA after all. Highly recommend the rooftop views

This hotel will not allow you to use their lobby restroom unless "YOU'RE A GUEST OR PHYSICALLY DIEING!". That's what ANTHONY, the front desk clerk said as I kindly requested to use the restroom.

So sad that's their policy, according to ANTHONY.
