The rooms are terrific. Good size and very nice and clean with comfortable beds. The staff is also very courteous and friendly and efficient. The breakfast could be better, but it's included in the room rate.

Unfortunately I had a very bad and unpleasant hotel experience due to an extremely unfriendly and rude night porter and some dangerously unhygienic problems in my bathroom. And as a small side note: breakfast is really poor!

Our room had an incredible view of the Duomo. Perfect location (5/5), once you get in... It is in a pedestrian zone so it will be tricky. Call ahead! Our room on the top floor had two floors, which was really cool. Breakfast was good (4/5). The staff was friendly. Our only real hiccup is the company that brings your car back took two hours but that was not the hotel's fault.
We stayed in room of wonderful view that the Duomo looks out of window immediately. It was also the first departure of a really refreshing day, when I saw the dancing behind the Duomo in the morning and heard the bells. The room was on the second floor and was antique interior so it seemed to sleep in the museum. Wi-Fi is fast and both the room and the bathroom are clean and the breakfast is simple. The staffs are all friendly. I am sorry to be moved to another hotel with 1 person. The next time I come to Florence, I will be 100% willing to make another reservation.

Never again. The hotel is actually represented by some rooms, along a narrow and sad corridor, on the third floor of an old building with a lift, whose entrance is located in a blind alley. I am welcomed by a lady with a foreign accent with a despotic, grumpy and icy attitude. The room, very spartan, is initially cold, with only one small window facing the wall of the house opposite. Inefficient air conditioning system. Poor breakfast with automatic coffee machine. The other employees met, all stingy with smiles and kindness. Only two positive notes: the position and the check out.
The hotel location is totally fabulous.

Basically in the shadow of the clock tower next to the Duomo, so you know what you are getting when you book. It's a busy location, noisy until late in the evening. But it's a great location, clean hotel and the staff mostly speak good English and are all very helpful.
Location is their main benefit. You won't get much of a view from the rooms as most of them seem to face the back alley. Who needs a view though when you can just step out straight into the buzzing square. :) Direct lift access from the building entrance to the reception on 3rd floor but it's a tiny one for two persons max. I recommend calling in advance to confirm wheelchair accessibility. Aside from that, it's a reasonably priced, clean place.

The location is great, but there's not much else going for this property. The rooms, furnishings and bathrooms are comparable to a motel in the US. The air-conditioning was almost non-existent. So we had to spend three nights in a warm room with barely any air or cooling. The AC didn't produce much air and we could hear water gurgling from it. But the hotel refused to acknowledge there was a problem and said to them it felt cool, and tried to put the blame on us that as tourists we don't understand what's normal for Italy. We even asked to cancel the reservation so we could go to another place with a good AC, but they refused. Breakfast is close to being inedible, hair dryer doesn't work properly, bathroom shower door kept coming off tracks.
Florence being such a small city, I'd prefer to stay slightly further away at a better hotel rather than compromise and choose this just for location. In fact, even the location has it's negatives because the area is overrun by tourists and as soon as you step out of the hotel, you're surrounded by thousands of tourists.

The staff was very kind to check in and they gave us a room with a view of the cathedral ..... from what we were close to, it doesn't even fit into the picture!
Despite the central location the room was well soundproofed, obviously the bells of the bell tower at 7 am are good but for us it was still fantastic.
The room was clean and furnished with the essentials. Entrance and bathroom and loft with a comfortable double bed (almost a king). Breakfast unfortunately is a bit basic and reductive but overall the room price was good and being in the center you can stop in a pastry shop for a reinforcement.
Thanks to Chiara and Irene for giving us the room with a view, it was a special occasion for us.

A great hotel. Nearest hotel to the square. 3 and 4 floors of the apartment is used as a hotel. The breakfast is nice. The rooms are cleaned every day if you don't want to. You leave the key on the way out, but when you get back, your place doesn't change. A hotel in the center of Florence for those who want to visit Florence. I would recommend. I love it.

Great room with an old decoration. Correct continental breakfast like we can found in other italian hotels. The hotel is just near the Duomo, one of the best place of Firenze.
Overlooking the Piazza del Duomo, the hotel has the best possible location one can think of. Has extremely friendly staff, semi rustic decor and is clean. Has numerous food options nearby. Worth further recommendations.
Nice place, the environment is quiet until a certain time, then several people start to arrive, including many guys who come in for a few drinks. The staff is welcoming even if not very studied and there have been some minor misunderstandings that have not negatively influenced my impression. It's somewhere a bit 'but there is hidden, it is not bad
