HOTEL ASTORIA – Sofitel Hotels & Resort, Belgium Review

Excellent service, great quality breakfast, ideal location if you need to visit the main EU Commission buildings and conference centers

Top hotel ... only the parking possibilities limited ...

I don't know, but I expected more for a 5 star hotel. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel but not a 5 star hotel. I'd say around a 4 star.

The hotel is clean and smells lovely in the foyer and rooms.

The room has a Bose player and a Philips flat screen TV. You even have a speaker in the ceiling that plays what you hear on the TV in the bathroom. Kinda cool!

The bed is very comfortable.

Internet is free your first 24 hrs and after that you have to pay 24.00 1 day 3 sessions. I think that's ridiculous.

Hotel parking is 20.00 per day. On street parking is 3.00 every 2 hours.

If it's not included with your booking, breakfast in the hotel is 28.00 per person. CRAZY!

Hotel location is average, the service is still friendly, the doorman is good.
However, the treatment from the five-star rating is still poor, and there is no American-style conversion plug. It is a bit unreasonable as an international hotel.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
There is still a problem with the TV. The show is not complete.

Excellent quality hotel located in the Jourdan district. We were exceptionally impressed with our stay - the rooms were large and spacious, and all of the furnishings were top quality. We especially appreciated the European Union flag on the shower door. The beds were so comfy, and we loved the addition of robes, slippers, tea, coffee and the turn down service. It's places like the Sofitel that make trips away from home feel even better than home!

One of my favorite chains and this one keeps the standard very high. Excellent location, comfort and service. I was accommodated earlier. Received great help from the concierge for dealing with taxi, which in Brussels is a challenge. Looking to come back very soon.

It's more than a Sofitel, of course at the height of its stars. It is also a very warm and well located hotel. You will either have a view of the beautiful Leopold Park, or the small and friendly place Jourdan, crowned by the huge painting of the artist Bottazzi. The library is also a place to recommend.

Overall very pleasant stay but some facilities in the public area are dated. The steam room needs a good scrub because there are mould between tiles.
Breakfast was excellent.

Not only herb tea but coffee must be available in the room.
The coffee served at breakfast must be hot, not lukewarm.
WiFi disconnecting frequently and having to re-connect each time is annoying. Why not preserve connection until check-out.

The rooms are very nice and clean. Everything looks very high quality. The bathroom is very well maintained. No lime, mold or similar
The personnel is very friendly and courteous.

Love this hotel. Surrounded by fantastic restaurants. Recommended :)

Superb stay at the Sofitel Brussels Europe thanks in part to Alexandre (guest relation) and the Sofitel teams who prepared a beautiful decoration for us to surprise my wife with rose petals, champagne and excellent sweet desserts ... who was very happy.
The butler who can be trusted with his eyes closed, who advised us on a fabulous Burgundy wine. An unforgettable moment spent at Sofitel as always. Thank you again and see you soon.
