We spent two nights in this hotel.

We spent two nights in this hotel.
The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and courteous.
The rooms were clean and of a sufficient size, especially the comfortable bed. The equipment in the room is a bit poor, but that was apparent when booking.
A negative point is the strong penetrating smell of sulfur that is drawn from the bathroom through the entire room. The lady at the front desk dealt with the complaint extremely professionally, but in my opinion something like that shouldn't have happened in the first place and should have noticed the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, the hair dryer is an unreasonable demand and, due to the tangled cable, it cannot be used without frustration and should be replaced urgently. The thermostat of the shower was also broken and caused extremely hot water to come out even at the coldest setting, which could have caused burns.
The (very nice) roof terrace was open in the meantime, but not during the advertised opening times, a shame.
Of the three concierges we came into contact with, unfortunately only one was particularly positive.

Finally, the bar next door is particularly positive.
Very friendly service and delicious drinks on offer!

Conclusion: All right, we would not come back.

Just one night, on business with the EU. Easy walk to the main EU institutions. Great chips & beer experience in the Place Jourdan, with good recommendation of bar by the excellent concierge. Quiet and comfortable room.

Just another great stay at the Sofitel with its extremely friendly and efficient staff, from the reception to the breakfast room, via the concierge. Of course the beautiful rooms and the awesome MyBed by Sofitel :-)

Great location and great views of the square, close to the park, and only a short cab ride (10-15 minutes) to Grand Place or 30 minute walk. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are so dang cozy. The staff is amazing. The restaurant is amazing for breakfast but going the dinner to be a big too fancy and abstract.

Very good hotel on a cosy square. I appreciated the excellent sound proofing and soft beds. The rooms are spacious, clean and cosy. The people at the reception were nice and friendly. I particlularly appreciated the attention that was paid to making the place 'covid proof'. They are really making an effort to make your experience pleasant and safe.

This hotel deserves its stars. Perfect service, friendly staff, good location close to the European district by walking through the beautiful Leopold Park. Do not miss the terrace, very well laid out and offers a nice view on the Jourdan place, on the monumental table of Bottazzi and on Brussels.

Love the location and the market opposite it on Sunday.

Staff is very friendly , hotel is clean and breakfast was exceptionally awesome. For me personally; Hammam was a shame but it could be me!

Absolutely perfect rooms - sooooo soft beds, and rooms were well appointed, staff were really helpful throughout our stay and prior. Catered well for special diet: great shopping across the road & an easy 1/2 walk to the city centre

Fabulous establishment. Everything begins with incredible service at the reception, continues with spacious and well decorated rooms all in a perfect cleanliness and ends with a nice breakfast certainly a bit expensive compared to the products on offer.
The hotel is located in very nice areas of Brussels about 30 minutes walk from the city center.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are extremely clean, decent size, and have exceptional views. The hotel's restaurant is very delicious (especially the Stoemp), the staff were very friendly. The rooftop patio was amazing and was great to view the city, especially at night.

An absolutely lovely hotel, worth the price! Rooms are comfy and spacious, the bed is just perfect - probably the best mattress I've slept on in years! Little bottles of wonderful smelling Hermes shampoos are provided, as is tea and coffee in the room. Staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything you might need. There's also a fitness and a steam bath in the -1 level. Highly recommended!

For a 5 star hotel, they have to upgrade the standard! The room was very spacious but the shower experience should be much better for A Deluxe Room. The front desk is helpful but not knowledgeable which for a 5 stars hotel is an issue for me.

The great hotel, with all the amenities, clean and thoughtful.
We consulted several times on public transport and only indicate the nearest station, not if there are strikes, as was the case, trains without operating, closed stations, etc ... essential information if you are from outside and need to move around the city. We almost lost the plane back due to lack of information (AFTER BUYING THE TICKETS, THERE WERE NO TRAINS) It would be good to provide data of this type. Thank you.

our stay at the Europa sofitel is always a joy

our stay at the Europa sofitel is always a joy
the hotel is next door to the museum of natural sciences
after a walk through a beautiful park
it is also right in the center of the European quarter
you can park the car in the garage of the hotel and from there you start wonderful
bike rides with the bike you brought with you
on Sunday morning you visit the vegetable market where a spacious
variety of mushrooms is offered
in the late afternoon you can quietly return home. Highly recommended

Great hotel. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was big and modern. Everything was great and clean. The hotel has a very nice roof terrace, although I have not used extensively because of the weather.

I like the rooms and the beds and the price is great but when it comes to the food it is not so good. At the Sunday brunch the chicken was really dry and it was basically just the breakfast buffet with some lunch items, the price they asked for it was to much for what they offered ( 85). When I went to the restaurant they tried to make simple Belgian food too complicated and we also paid 13 for pizza and that was wet and soggy, it tasted like frozen pizza.

Very good stay in your establishment, very welcoming staff, very beautiful decoration. Breakfast very good and varied I just regret the fact that the hammam in the booklet of the room stipulates 24/24 but in reality from 07hr to 23hr. The terrace is not available but not stipulated at check-in and some lack of finish in room 401 (wall of the entrance damaged, hook in the bathroom that is no longer properly fixed and infiltration in the shower but also the tablet of the television with the angle very damaged) for the number of star I find it a pity damage.

Dead massive fly on the floor when we walked in to the room, alive bugs of 2 cm walking on the curtains. Horrible experience. When we reported it to the reception - receptionist answer - we cannot do anything about it, there are everywhere in Budapest. Well, we left it immediately and checked in to Four Seasons - there were no bugs dead or alive in their property. We will never stay in Sofitel Budapest again. As a Platinum SPG and holder of Centurion Amex, we have travelled the entire world including many exotic countries and have never experienced anything like that in any 5 star hotels. MD of this hotel should get fired.

Nice hotel, pleasantly located near the Leopold Park and the European Commission. Benefits and perfect home. Another positive point: the hotel overlooks the convivial Jourdan square which houses both the monumental painting of Bottazzi and the chip shop Antoine.

I had the pleasure to attend the inauguration of the magnificent painting by the artist Guillaume Bottazzi which was held at this hotel and I could appreciate the friendliness and the welcome given to the participants at the event and also the careful organization. The terrace enjoys an enchanting view of Place Jourdan which is now enriched by the artwork of the artist Bottazzi. I can't give an opinion on the rooms as I didn't stay there but if I were to return to Brussels I would definitely book at this Hotel.

Great staff. Really comfortable rooms. Ours overlooking Place Jourdan was delightful. A market on Sunday is remarkable with a smaller one on Saturday, both right outside the hotel entrance. Adjoins Parc Leopold with a small pond with walkway, benches, swans, and ducks. Eateries, bars, and shops around square with hours that vary.

Parking is pricey at 32euros per day. But you'd be a bit crazy to drive in Brussels anyway.

Very comfortable hotel with a style. It's very central close to the European union institutions and at the same time it's in the heart of Place Jourdan, overlooking a nice park. I loved its bar as well.

The Sofitel Europe in Brussels is located directly next to the EU Parliament building and in front of a beautiful local square. The old town is in 20 minutes walk or a few minutes by subway or bike. The check-in was extremely pleasant and the employee explained to me as a Brussels freshman all important information about the city and the hotel. There was also a free upgrade to a deluxe suite with front view all over the place. The hotel has a beautiful 24-hour gym and hammam. The breakfast was very high quality and there were plenty of fresh food. Was absolutely satisfied with the value and would go again.

Only stayed one night on the way back from a meeting in Genk. You really notice the difference between a 5 star hotel and a 4 star one. Sofitel Brussels Europe is a nice elegant hotel with comfortable beds and warm inviting ambience. I was able to have a very good rest. The location is out of the central area, but not too far. It can be a positive as it is nice and quiet in the evening. Ample restaurant choices across the road.

Location is not really at the center of the city, but acceptable. With some handy shops around, so its convenience. However, the shower was poor, as the hot water was not stable and the water pressure is weak. I think it will be big problem come winter time

Super . ,, comfortable hotel in the European Parliament area.
The rooms are pleasant, spotless, and the mattresses are as soft as you want !!

The establishment is nicely decorated in a clean contemporary design style ... Qualified and friendly staff, particularly at the reception and at the Concierge.

The Restaurant and Brasserie are very well organized, and offer Belgian specialties and great international classics. ....
Interesting promotions on weekends.

A little out of the way .. but near metro for city tours.
Very facilitating for tourism, the Parking under the hotel.
A very small downside, the square in front of the establishment is being restructured but the work only disturbs the view ... and not the sleep

The refurbishment mentioned in previous reviews is now finished, and I was very pleasantly surprised with the bright, contemporary and fresh feel of the lobby, bar and restaurant. The breakfast offered everything I could possibly want, and I enjoyed a reasonably priced drink in the bar. The bed was very comfortable. I would use this hotel again.

Although I'm sure it could be a fine hotel experience in a nice part of Brussels near the park, the hotel was a building site in March 2019. And I mean a real building site with the lobby still being plastered, plastic sheeting everywhere and breakfast in a meeting room. The square in which it sits also had work going on. Do check that th hotel is completely finished before you book! We were told that there was "some redecorating" going on but that didn't start to cover it.
