Hornbach is slowly but surely developing into a grocer. Many items are missing. No good advice. I gave up my project there shopping and drove to Gillet. Everything I need to get there. In addition, still friendly and competent advice.

A saleswoman assigned us a computer and we had to scan our goods ourselves and operate the cash register computer ourselves. When it came to the EC machine, it was over with my father-in-law, as this should sign suddenly. So the Hornbach loses again two customers. Luckily there's Gillette in Landau and Bauhaus in Karlsruhe. A pity, but never again Hornbach. Project failed. New project, another shop. We can get rid of the 5000, - annual turnover elsewhere. Others are also happy about the money.

Buyers who opt for service should never buy online from Hornbach. In my case, I ordered stones to pave for 7,500.00. At the service hotline, I was told, with witnesses in my car, (car phone) it was no problem to return the stones after more than 30 days, after all, as a hardware store, you knew that everything could not always be planned. 25 broken curbs later, which by the way will not be replaced and 6 remaining pallets, I get the following statement in writing:
Dear Mr. Kettler,
You would like to return 6 pallets of rectangular plaster anthracite 20x10x8. You can return the goods you have ordered up to 30 days after receipt of the goods. A later return is not possible.

When I wanted to exchange my 17 different tile packages at Obi after more than six months, I was asked, voucher or bar? If you no longer have the receipt, unfortunately only a voucher is possible. But I had the receipt and could easily bring everything back.
The difference between the stones was then around 2 cents. Unfortunately, I took the low price and now pay at least 1000.00 on top, because Hornbach does not have as good and above all customer-oriented service as Obi. Your own fault, so I can only warn all other consumers not to always get involved in the lower price and if so, have the statements of Hornbach's service staff confirmed in writing, otherwise you will be like me, stupid.
