During our visit on 23.04.16 we had almost exclusively to deal with very unfriendly staff. The worst was a certain Mrs. Sch., In which we had reserved a van and the us in an incredible kasernenton grumbled. Obviously, she had very important private matters to discuss with her colleague and was quite irritated with our "disorder." Unfortunately we ended up with more than 1600 Euros (plus the rental for the van) in this store, but that will not happen again.

Sometimes it takes longer to wait at the cash register. If shopping is too difficult, there are staff on site to help with transportation. In addition to the Hornbach there is an inexpensive car wash and petrol station, small food stalls and enough parking spaces.

The beech logs are processed by the "beast", as Hornbach calls his own machine, transforming tree trunks into firewood. The trunk is held down with a gripper and cut by a chainsaw. A splitting unit divides the wood into square logs. It is transported to the trailer via a conveyor belt.

The expectant customer does not need to reckon on a well-balanced load, this is rounded off and the customer who has paid the firewood ready before loading is simply sent home with his minimum loaded trailer!
