Awesome salesman. Delivery a little shaky forgot our chair and had to return later with it.

I was apprehensive going in here because we just wanted to browse and I was worried we'd be followed around the whole time but the salesmen were all very friendly and said hi and then left us to ourselves. We purchased a recliner and a loveseat, both of which will be delivered for free. The checkout process was extremely easy as well.

Huge selection of furniture with friendly staff and free cookies coffee and lemonade. Have gone a few times just to browse and have come home with something each time.

Great service, everything was explained thoroughly and was not overbearing

Wonderful experience. Celena was so helpful and stepped me through the process of choosing the sectional pieces and fabric. After we left she called to tell me how I could get $200 off by switching a piece. Thank you!

Dave Kelly in dining rooms was awesome. Fun to work with, and knowledgeable. Even stating how many tools we will need to put together our chairs!

I ordered a bed frame back on December 2nd, 2019. Three months later, the pieces are still sitting in pieces on my floor today on March 7th, 2020.

One of the bed legs was delivered damaged. I requested a new one be shipped to me. On top of the delay and lack of communication on its status, it turned out to have been shipped to the wrong address.

A new one was to be shipped to me but I have yet to hear if it s been mailed or not. I asked for assembly, and I was told that won t be possible for another two weeks, so this will be an almost 4 month ordeal for a bed frame.

Had everything in stock that we wanted and is getting delivered next weekend!

Our mattress went bad (which was the second one that has gone bad) and we haven't even had this last one for 2 years, the company stood behind it and gave us credit which is great. We went up and got a new one. The salesman was great. We spent several hundred dollars more to get the one we wanted. We have to pay delivery....seriously, we would not have been looking for a new mattress if it would not have went bad. Really frustrated with the customer service.....I realize I am just a number to them.

Homemakers has a very good selection of furniture. The salesperson working there are very helpful as well. Their prices are reasonable as well. My only complain is the delivery takes too long.

People is really nice and helpful. They adjust to your preferences and budget.

Homemakers has just the right inventory for any style, price range and a good amount of selection in their clearance area! We purchased a table and chair set and a chaise yesterday and we couldn't be happier with our selection. The process was very easy and laid back. We were not overwhelmed and approached with professional sales associates took the time to answer our questions! We found our chaise online and they were very helpful to find an almost replica instore and moved the furniture for us to try it out. I would highly recommend Homemakers to anyone who wants to have a good experience furniture shopping with a good selection to choose from! We will be back!

Our salesperson was Ann Downey. She was very friendly and knowledgable. We told her what we were looking for and showed us what was available and what could be ordered. We ended up buying a loveseat in stock and delivery in 3 days with xmas coming! We were very happy and she was a pleasure to deal with.

We came into the store with a bed in mind, did our research and found the one we wanted! We ended up purchasing a different bed set for our daughter! If it wasn t for the gracious service we received, we might not have made this purchase!!! The kids enjoyed the cookies and lemonade! It was a great experience!

Certainly a positive experience. I worked with a sales associate to literally create the perfect couch for our new home. Can't wait to get it!

Walked in to look at reclining couches. Took about 45 min to be recognised by a salesperson. The first one didn't know what they even had in stock. The 2nd person saw me looking up couches on the giant computers there and asked if he could help. I told him what I wanted and he said I'm better off looking online and ordering to the store. Kind of helpful but I knew there were at least 2 couches that meet the conditions I wanted located in the store. The 3rd person didn't seem interested in helping much either. She tried to sell me on sofas when I wanted a couch. I ended up leaving the store and looking online. I just hope the couch I ordered isn't uncomfortable or short in the leg rest when reclined like many in the store.

It was my first trip to Homemakers and I got to see your STUNNING holiday display - it was fabulous!! Had to hurry so I just purchased one sign, but I can t wait to come back and linger. Also, this Cyclone fan appreciated your great Iowa State display!

I seriously love this place and love how friendly the workers are!! They always make sure the customers are 100% informed about each piece of furniture.

i had the best experience here! everyone there is so knowledgeable and kind! they all help and ask amazing questions! way i liked was that they followed the rules with the masks and stayed 6 feet away! they knew where everything was and unlike other furniture stores! i 100% recommend going there!

I have bought several furniture pieces from Homemakers over the years. I love this place and always seem to get great customer service each time no matter who helps me. The furniture is quality and the prices are often unbeatable!

This was the 2nd time we have been here. We were greeted by at least 5 associates within the first 5 minutes of arriving. We knew what we were looking for. Mellissa in the clearance section was wonderful. She helped us get what we needed quickly. Check out up front was slow with only one associate ringing. Over all good experience.

Bought 90% of my furniture for me new apartment here! Great selection and prices

We purchased patio furniture less than a year ago. One of the chairs broke unexpectedly and Homemakers handled the situation perfectly. They communicated quickly and gave us updates on the situation. Less than a month after the issue came up, we have a fully functioning chair.

They always have something in your budget that is a quality product. Service is always good. And more than enough people willing to help with questions.

Julia in bedroom furniture was awesome! Friendly, helpful and informative. The gentleman in the sofa department didn't seem to know a lot. He was nice, but perhaps not as experienced. We wanted to take the furniture with us if it fit in our van. It didn't. We wanted to take what would fit and have the rest delivered (we qualified for free delivery) but if we had , they would have charged us $79. Seems like it would have given them more room on their delivery truck so someone else could have gotten delivery sooner. That part seemed a little ridiculous.

Three years ago I bought my mother an adjustable bed for around $1300. Now she needs a new one but since I moved out of state they won't let me apply for new credit so she went in there to apply. They told her the cheapest similar bed was $3000 which isn't true because it's on sale on their site for $499. The worst part is Jeff from Homemakers told her they could not deliver and set it up because they are afraid of catching her polio. That is the worst, most inhumane, insensitive and uneducated thing she's ever been told. She got polio when she was 18 months old, just before the vaccine came out. They made her feel horrible about her condition, this story needs to be shared. I feel like they should take back the flat bed she had to settle for and get her the adjustable bed she needs.
Update: Dave Kretz from Homemakers called me to apologize and admit that this never should have happened. He offered to switch the bed she bought with the adjustable bed that she needs.

It is always a great experience to shop at Homemakers. The salesperson who helped me find new furniture for my living room was really patient with me. I couldn't decide which couch I wanted, and he provided really good information about the quality material and durability. I will probably come back soon and shop there again!

Beware if you order furniture request it wrapped or covered. This company delivered my cream colored sofa un wrapped to a second floor apartment!! I was so discussted, my sofa was filthy between the delivery truck, the drivers driver hands and dragging through the door! I wanted to cry! After calling customer service they agreed to come out and clean it....one month later! Still waiting on cleaning service. I will never ever order a stick of furniture from this place again!

We were late to get to the store, but didn t feel pressured to leave. While we were approached several times by sales associates, they all were respectful to our desire to just look around. As we were leaving, we spotted some chairs we wanted, found an associate and he was able to ring us up and get us out to pick up in time to avoid a delivery or having to have the items delivered. Great selection (but plan for much more than an hour to get through the store )

Such a large selection of all different price points. We usually find exactly what we need.

I recieved a couch that was bought as a Christmas gift, i was told the night before so i didnt have much time to prepare, so at midnight we pulled the old couch to the curb an the new one came at 9 am for a 10 oclock apt, now i was at work an my gf was at home to sign for it, its pouring down rain an sleet, we had over 2in of rain which turned to ice at some point, the delivery man showed up by himself and tell my gf he is only there to leave in the driveway she had to push it by herself on ice to get it in our garage, i found out today its a policy that they wont bring it inside, ok so dont deliver it when is storming out, my brand new couch is now in my garage taking up space where my car should be since i have no help to carry it and my old couch is now on the curb with 4 inches of snow on it

Has an amazing selection and customized options to meet your every day needs, customer service is superb, they really spend time with you to understand what you are looking for! I have purchased furniture from Homemakers multiple times and have always been very pleased!

Purchased a couch, dining set, and area rug. The sales staff that we met with were very efficient and knowledgeable. The best part was they weren't overly pushy and didn't try to talk us into other things we didn't need or want. Very courteous. I will continue to go to Homemakers for any future furniture purchases!

Will never buy again! Terrible customer service and they lie. Paid $40 to have delivery to bring fireplace inside the house. But instead they dropped it off in front of garage. Of course with no cover to protect it. Wow really!!! Don't recommend that place. I complained but customer service refused to do anything about it.

Three of the items i ordered were not available. Delivery options were over a month out.

Delivery guys came earlier than expected, but that was okay with me. I was 20 minutes away from my apartment and they waited until I got there. They were so nice, funny, and helpful.

I've bought furniture here for more than 15 years and never had a problematic piece of furniture until now. I bought a high end lazy boy and it broke within a month. I agreed to have it fixed or replaced. I had to wait 3 weeks because they have only 1 very nice repairman. I waited another 2 weeks for a new chair. The new chair stripped its reclining mechanism again in less than 3 weeks... waited nearly a month for repair to look again. Several times I explained to customer service I dont want to continue this process over and over where I can only use it for 3 weeks then have to wait 2 months for something repaired or replaced. I was brought to tears twice by rude snarky abusive customer service representatives that refuse to let you talk to management.
I paid $800 for a chair that needs a recall and now I know it will be chair art in my basement.... I'm saddened and offended by the customer service and felt like talking to them was as productive and helpful as our Democrats and Republicans in the white house!!!! So dont worry about how good the warranty is the customer service is inhumane you buy it youre stuck.

Paid online for a bed and called to make sure it was there to pick up employee told me it was there and sent a conformation number , get there and they can't find it and say the conformation number is invalid and tell me to pull forward and someone would come out and help and made me wait 20 minuets. Very disorganized

Very happy with Homemaker s sales and service. We Pretty much only shop there, as we have purchased everything through Homemakers.

Great furniture. Customer service answered my questions. Website could use an update. Website doesn't list many details about items. Also when clicking on an item it would be convenient if everything that is in the set would be listed there. I ordered an outdoor chair but I had to go and search for the matching loveseat and table. I wasn't sure if the colors were the same so then I had to call customer service. Just time consuming.

Sales person was helpful and responded to all our questions. Would highly recommend Homemakers for anyone looking for furniture at a fair price and large selection.

Great carts for kids and I've been told there are cookies for customers, but I've yet to ever find them. Aisles are nice size for passing through the store.

We are very happy with our last purchases on February 20th,2016... That was the third time purchasing our home furniture and every time I had a great experience. This time we had a sales associate kinda follow us around but since we needed multiple different furnitures, that worked out well.. Someone near us to answer questions immediately and look up to see if they had the merchandise in stock. My favorite thing about this place is that you can buy a bed frame and then come back a few months later for a dresser and you have multiple choices since they'll all work well with what you already have. We did just that for our 10 year old daughter's room. We couldn't be happier. The price was also great too (which is sometimes not the case as they tend to be a bit expensive... But this past week, I don't know if they were on sale but we found this at a decent price). Love the store, whether I'm getting a $1,500 sectional or just simply being ideas for a room and not purchasing anything. Definitely recommend a stop there if in the market for furniture in the greater Des Moines area

Nice selection. Prices are a bit much for some stuff, and they should include delivery options for multiple choices but all in all not bad.

We went with the children and got a great deal on a sectional with delivery. Staff were helpful and polite.

Absolutely great experience last Saturday! Even though they were quite busy with multiple sales going on, we were greeted before we even stepped off the escalator. Within moments Thomas helped us find the bed set of our dreams! We will definitely be back!

We had good sales people but when it came to delivery time, the truck situation was a mess. We had multiple orders and they weren't put on the same truck. They did fix it by sending a very nice manager out.

So, I wanted to tell one of your employees he did a great job and it turns out Homemakers doesn't give praise to their employees or tell them they are doing a good job.? Is this accurate? I also came to learn, that positive reinforcement is now a thing of the past. If this is the case, then all these reviews for great customer service is a SHAM!

I recently shopped at Homemakers in Urbandale. I had an awesome experience due to this lovely young lady Gabby who went way above and beyond for me. I am extremely happy with my purchases and it was because of Gabby. She was able to help me make decisions on what would be best for the multiple items I purchased. When I am in need of something further for my interior remodel of my house I will be returning to Homemakers and will be hopefully having Gabby help me again. She was the best!

Love the store love the service. We have always had friendly and helpful salespeople, asking if we are finding what we're looking for or if we need help or have any questions. Delivery team are on time and friendly. Guess that why we have always gone to Homemakers for all our furniture or bedding purchases

The store was very clean and displayed very well. I was greeted and acknowledged, but not hounded like other furniture stores that I have gone to. I would recommend this store to all of my friends and family, and will definitely shop here again.

Our sales lady pulled out all the stops to find us the exact single piece we needed for a sectional. Amazingly it was in stock and their furniture pick-up process is second to none. Very satisfied.

Called all day trying to get a human to help with a return on an order I placed the night before. Kept getting transferred to dead ends. Salesperson and manager never returned messages so I had to go in person and stand in line for a 5 minute transaction I could have done over the phone. They seem understaffed and not very customer centered.

Staff was courteous and knowledgeable about their products. We didn't feel hassled at all. The whole process was seamless. Would come back again.

Always a wide selection, the salesperson took the time to show us a couple different things. I'm picky so I was looking for something specific in a couch, and after being let down with a couple brands my choices were limited. He wasn't discouraged when I couldn't talk myself into purchasing right away, but after going home and thinking about it, we went back a few hours later and he recognized us right away!

We went to homemakers looking for a new dining room table, but were not sure on which table would fit our space and match our pre existing furniture.
We had one of the sales people (Marc) help us by showing different options and even providing ideas for decoration. The process was effortless and very pleasant. I would definitely shop at homemakers again!

I've bought from homemakers before, they do a good job and are helpful. I've spent quite a bit of money there and the only thing I can complain about is the delivery charge. Slumberland will waive the fee homemakers should as well

Everyone was so helpful. The sales representative that helped us asked us what are needs are for an end table. With that she found us just what we were looking for and then helped us pick out the perfect lamp to go with it. She took the time to listen and understand our style and wants. I have shopped there several times and I'm always 100% satisfied with the items I purchase and the customer service.
