Having been a decade+ customer & having found its pricing comparable (at worst) and usually better than other competitors which is what consumers shop for. What makes HC1 special is its service, attention to details, commitment to excellence of installation, and other ways to make the customer completely satisfied. After 10 years of patronage, HC1 still does it best.

I recently purchased a new house and Home Carpet furnished all the flooring. I purchased non standard materials that they had in stock. They were able to complete the installation weeks faster than anyone else. They have this Beautiful Guarantee that gave me piece of mind in my decision. I will shop again at Home Carpet One.

I had them install carpeting in a studio hi-rise condo rental unit that I own. Covid construction rules for the building very challenging amongst other things that are a landlord's nightmare. They stuck with me, were very responsive and professional and did a great job despite the challenges. If I had not gone with a reputable company like Home Carpet One, this would not have ended well. I will never use anyone else.

I'm basing this on just my initial experience with the company. They seem to be very professional. When I called, the guy spoke politely (instead of condescendingly or harshly like other places) and assured me that the person who was going to measure wouldn't take a long time. After the call, I immediately got an email listing the rooms that were going to be measured, the name of the guy who was going to do it, and his phone number. I think this is the first time I've experienced such responsiveness from a contractor. Usually contractors don't let you know who's coming, don't provide a phone number, and are rarely on time. The guy who came to measure not only was on time, but he was early. And as was promised, he did it quickly, which gave me plenty of time to get to an appointment. I am very impressed so far, especially since I dealt with another flooring place that didn't even bother to call me back to set up a measuring appointment and has yet to show up to do the work.

I found Home Carpet One via Google Maps while looking for someone to install runners on our three hardwood staircases. The process couldn't have been better! I reached out via their website and talked to someone on the phone regarding what I was looking for. They sent someone out to take measurements and bring samples that they thought we would like, and then followed up with a free quote. The website and catalog are very user-friendly, that is how we found the carpet we ended up purchasing. Everyone we spoke to was extremely helpful and professional, from the sales department to the measuring guy to the men who actually performed the installation. The price is also very reasonable for the quality- our stairs look amazing. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful wool carpet, installation was impeccable. They carry an amazing assortment of high-end wool carpets and interesting tile on the second level.

A place for well-informed buyers only! We needed carpet for our new home and went to Home Carpet One based on prior reviews and purchased in August of 2015. Although we made it clear we had a 94 lbs dog, and 2 toddlers, we were advised and purchased a high-end wool carpet which would "last a lifetime." Unfortunately, this carpet stains when ANYTHING touches it, and can't be cleaned with anything other than water (or will stain further). In fact, a professional carpet cleaning service cleaned our carpet last month (in hopes of trying to get some of the stains up) but informed us that they are not permitted to use any cleaning solutions or stain removers on wool carpets because they all stain. Additionally, the wear pattern of this carpet seems quite excessive given that it has only been in place for 8-9 months. After doing some online investigation (and reading some of the FAQs on the Carpet One site), wool carpet was the absolutely worst carpet choice. Carpet One states on their own site that wool carpets have no wear or stain warranties. So why would they advise this purchase knowing our family needs. Given the cost associated with this purchase, I can only assume they were more interested in the sale, then making an informed recommendation that would best suit our needs, or the service after the sale. I have attempted to contact Home Carpet One to get guidance on options (perhaps there is an actual manufacturer defect in our carpet), but have yet to get a response. I would avoid this store unless you have extensive knowledge in exactly what you want/need, but don't count on knowledgeable recommendations that reflect your true needs or prompt service after the sale.

***UPDATE***: A repair person from Home Carpet One came to the house and confirmed that there were no manufacturer issues with the carpet, and advised us that all carpets will show stains. Also confirmed that Dyson vacuum use would void any warranty for this carpet. So the worlds most popular and effective vacuum can't be used in our home without voiding the warranty on our carpet. Again, in my opinion, we were guided to purchase the wrong carpet type for our needs.

I had had two wonderful experiences with this company in the past, so it was natural to re-hire them to carpet our basement (which had sustained flood damage and needed new floor coverings). It was easy to set up an appointment, it took no time at all, and I selected carpet from their website. The carpet, by the way, is beautiful and well-priced per sq. ft. The gentlemen who installed did a nice job and were courteous and efficient. However, some damage was sustained to the newly-painted walls and a doorway, and the installation on the exposed stair ends was skiffy. When I contacted Joel regarding these issues, he was very kind and responsive, and an artisan was sent out the next day. The repair to the stair carpeting was well-done (we had to shave off the end of the stair, but it's fine, it isn't a big deal). So why the three stars? Because not one of the men who actually came to my house to observe the damage took any responsibility for it, no one apologized, and they treated me like I was being unreasonable. They disputed that they did damage to the door--that's fine, I can't prove that they did it, I only know it wasn't like that the day before. But they definitely did damage to the paint around the stairwell. Can we touch it up? of course. Do we want to take time to do it? not really. Could the artisans have used a piece of cloth, leather or cardboard to protect the wall from tool marks? I would think so. In the end, I had to explicitly tell the man that I didn't want remuneration or anything like that, I just wanted an Apology. That's it. It was embarrassing to have to ask. And I am going to take the feminist high ground right now and say that women are treated like this all the time by male artisans and tradespeople. I was taught to apologize if I damaged somebody else's stuff, even if it it an accident, as I know it was in this case. That's just manners, folks.

Home Carpet One replaced the carpet in our basement after water damage. Their pricing was competitive, they were quick, efficient and friendly, and we love our new carpet. We shifted gears several times during the process, but they never made us feel like it was a problem. Even though we were looking for lower end basement carpet we were treated as if we were installing top of the line in every room of the house. The installation company they contracted was also friendly, on-time, efficient and easy to work with. I highly recommend Home Carpet One and encourage you to check them vs. a big box store. It is really nice to work with people who have a vested interest in your satisfaction. We couldn't have had a better experience.

So, I had just about completed remodeling my office at work and the last thing that needed to be done, and the one thing I knew I couldn t do myself was to install new flooring. I contacted Home Carpet One and consulted with what my best options would be for the space. We decided on a commercial grade carpet and in no time they had it scheduled and installed. The entire process was very easy and smooth. It s funny because prior to using them myself, I had often referred them because I know the owner. I ve never had a complaint. I m still referring them and now it is even better because I am one of their many, more than satisfied customers. Thank you Home Carpet One.

I have worked with Eddy Haddad several times, and each time I leave happy. Eddy takes the time to understand your project and provide creative design solutions...and the prices are really good as well. I recommend anyone looking for tile or carpet to call Eddy first. You will be satisfied!

As an interior designer, I ve worked with Home Carpet One on several projects for many of my clients. They have a wide variety of products and prices that can t be beat. Their sales people are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Nassim is a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond when it comes to communication, providing us with quotes, quality recommendations, and updates on orders in a very timely manner. They have a local warehouse in Chicago, making it very easy for my contractors to pick up the tile when we don t want the product delivered. Their high quality installers are courteous, efficient, and do excellent work. My clients are always pleased with the end result. I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. I worked with Mark Gustin and the service was beyond poor. I ordered a large 3 ft x 3ft tile for my 7 ft. linear fireplace and when I realized the linear pattern were different I called him and he gave me nothing but attitude how I'm not allowed to switch out tiles. I told him with my past renovations how great the service was with The Tile Shop on Halsted and that this was never an issue with them. This was the 2nd time I mentioned The Tile Shop to him and the first time, he said they were "Walmart" of tiles and doesn't consider them a competitor. I must have hit a sore spot because that was that night of our call when I asked if I can switch some tiles due to linear pattern-he was completely rude, unprofessional, gave me attitude to the point I completely called him out and gave it right back. I couldn't believe how I was treated as a customer. I've talked to couple of my friends 2 that are designers and they agreed the staff is unfriendly and only work with their sales person.

This is my 2nd purchase here (first was for carpet in our basement) and let's just say the service wasn't great but at least the sales person didn't have anger issues. Listen customers, if your looking to replace your tiles, there's only place to go and that's The Tile Shop on Halsted. Lance's (Manager) team is amazing and that's not just the staff, their price can't be beaten. Check them out you won't be sorry. And Mark you need to get some anger mgt. therapy.

They have a nice selection of carpets, helpful staff, and I am very pleased with the installation. I was on a tight deadline, and they did everything they could to make sure the carpet I wanted was ordered and here when it was needed.

We recently purchased carpet for our foyer staircase and landing from Home Carpet One. The entire process from selection to installation to completion was easy and professional. There was so much personal attention and consideration each step of the way. We were also very appreciative that Joel stayed within our budget but found some wonderful choices for us. The installers also worked extremely hard to do a perfect job. We will definitely be using Home Carpet One for our future flooring needs.

My experience at Home Carpet One from the time I entered through the carpet installation has been 5 star. The sales representative was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, hands-on and educated me with all facets of selection every step of the way. He listened carefully to exactly what I was looking for and helped me problem-solve every step of the way. Our family room looks fabulous and the quality of the carpet and padding selection far exceeds what we had. Having been through a trying experience of flooding and my experience with Carpet One left me knowing I was in good hands. I recently had Carpet One install new carpeting in a bedroom, a hall, and a curved staircase. I was extremely pleased with the entire process from carpet selection at the showroom to very old rug tear-up and new rug installation and clean-up. The installers were top-notch and precise. I highly recommend Carpet One for flooring and will definitely use them again in the future.
