Its a must if you love the sea and want to learn how to sail and race!
The real 12 metre challenge, the history behind these lovely sail boats......
I first did this about 10 years ago and it has been one of my favorite memories since then. I was able to do it again this year and i hope to do it again! If you're able, you should volunteer for a position on the boat. I was a main grinder both times, maybe I'll switch it up next time. I can't say enough good things about this excursion and the staff!
i enjoy myself completely it was a very enjoyable time in the ocean on the sail boat
I never went, but I have a friend who lived there and she loved pity that Hurricane Sister had and devastated almost everything
Has to be one of the best shore excursions in all of he Caribbean. Has been voted the number 1 thing to do for many years. We were on the True North, the Canadian ship and you actually race against another ship. Many of the guests are put to work trimming the sales etc etc.It was so much fun and of course our ship won. I would highly recommend this.Crew were experienced and friendly and competitive. There a gift shop on shore where you can purchase related items
Amazing, so much fun. If you like boating this is a must! One of the highlights of our vacation!
This activity exceeded my expectations. The sail was smooth on a beautiful day and the crew expert. We had captain Morgan who was matter a fact in his approach to making sure we all did our assigned duties during the race. The sail boat only holds 16 passengers and 3 crew. It gives the experience of the teamwork required of the people who really participate in these races. I highly recommend this activity, but watch the weather for a calm day at sea if possible. This activity is popular with the cruise ship passengers, so reservations are required as far in advance as possible.
This was a fabulous experience! Our first time in St Maarten and this was one of the recommended excursions from our cruise line. You actually participate in crewing an America's cup yacht racing against another ship, so it does require some physical activity. The ships are actual ships from 1983 and 1987 America's cup vessels including Canada II and Stars and Stripes. Our crew from Capt. Dan, Eric, and Dave (?) were extremely informative and friendly during our race. I would highly recommend this activity!
Ok, I really enjoyed this and so did my wife and two teenage daughters. The staff is friendly and really seems to enjoy what they do. Learning just a small pinch of sailing was fun and working as a team with a bunch of strangers was fun. I strongly recommend this to everyone!
