Love UMHB! It is my home away from home, my Alma Mater, and my workplace. Stop by for a visit of the beautiful campus, Christian atmosphere, and great facilities. Come see me in the Admissions Office!

Daughter just competed her first choir camp, and she loved the musical experience. She said the air conditioning in the dorms she stayed in wasn't working (summer in Texas,) and they had to keep the windows open. She also said the food wasn't that great.

A really powerful university that s well known for being tough and give out the greatest (Not me because....) this is a Christian School that demands your kid, or you, to take bible class. I have nothing wrong with bible class, I ll just feel weird and kinda invading someone s personal space since I m the furthest from Christianity (not santist and my entire family except once cousin is Christian, me and her are the black sheeps)

Waste of time and money. Pretty looks with a rotten core. Professors are uninspired, speech is shut down, elementary rules for a university. Pest infested dorms with no proper AC. UMHB is a money hungry "university" which can be passed off as a highschool or a community online college since all courses are 90% online based.

What a beautiful, well-kept campus! Every corner looks brand new or recently refurbished. Friendly, laid back, Christ-centered atmosphere. I'd be thrilled if my (practically) daughter decides to go there next fall!

My Daughter had the worst experience while attending UMHB. The Nursing program testing is ridiculous. Often you will be tested and this program is flawed. After reporting it to the administration several times nothing was done.
Having 1 out of four children attend a private University was not easy. But what we experienced as a family should not be the college experience for anyone. The appeal process wasn t any better.
Do not recommend.

I graduated from this university.

UMHB is beautiful and it's potential lies in what you choose to get involved in. Plenty of opportunities for experiences, advice, personal and spiritual growth. It's the perfect balance between not to small and not to big. Every professor has something to give, educationally and personally. I love this school and highly recommend it.

University os okay with good course work.

University os okay with good course work.

but the worst thing in this university for international students is that they try to put the English courses for almost very student who is on F1. I believe its their business strategy to make more money.

Also there are couple of professors who themselves need English courses so that they can communicate better with students.

Thanks to it being a private university my student loans went from $50,000 to nearly $250,000 since I graduated in 1997. I was stuck in those days the interest rate was over 20%. I went back to school to become a respiratory therapist and during that time they told me I could go on a deferment but me not knowing the interest would accumulate and the amount I owed went up drastically and I became petrified and kept putting it on deferment because there was no way I could pay over a thousand dollar a month student loan bill and next thing you know it will be $500,000 even though I ve been paying on it for well over ten years.

If you don t want a Christian school, don t attend a PRIVATE, BAPTIST UNIVERSITY. Geez. It s not that hard. This is not a party school and some people (me as well as most the people I know) love it that way. Don t come here and waste lots of money if you don t really want a Christian environment. Prayers in class, small classes, very nice professors who will even invite you to their homes. Sure Bawcom doesn t serve the best food but everyone complains about their cafeterias food. Lots of inside jokes and friendly people and chapel on Wednesday s isn t actually that bad. I was hesitant about mandatory church but I find it quite enjoyable as well as the theology classes we have to take. You can feel/see Christ here and it s really amazing. I ve never felt unsafe on this campus. Go cru!

This is not a Christian place. If you fail, you fail alone this University is a heartless place. They boast community and Christ yet have 0 compassion for students. Certain professors do, but if I could go back to 5 years ago I would tell myself to stay FAR away. Disappointed. 100% waste of money. Please avoid.
