When you shop here make sure they take the alarm off your clothes.
A shame that the Christmas window display gracing Ste-Catherine street is no more. The bagpipers are also gone. I've been going to Ogilvy's for 40 years and loved the Christmas cheer it brought to all who passed by.
Very disappointing.
$60M Reno budget but a window display for 7 weeks is too costly.
Donated to the McCord (add 1 star). You can see the display for free.
Renovations, renovations, renovations. Most stores are currently not available, only the men's clothes section (4th floor) and the beauty section (underground and main floor) are open right now, a major inconvenience. It would be best to wait until the renovations are complete before heading here.
I live between 3 continents and I travel the world, Emmanuelle Giroux from Givenchy was by far one of the most knowledgeable and kind beauty advisors that I have met. After presenting Givenchy products, she extended her service to another floor making sure that I found what I was exactly looking for. Thank you Emmanuelle for a great shopping experience !
If you looking for luxury clothes in Montreal, Ogilvy is an excellent place. Very good service and high quality products.
I went to the Beauty Hall opening, aka phase one, and I was very impressed with how the space was transformed! The Beauty Hall was chic, spacious and every luxury cosmetic brand was on full display! I particularly loved that Erno Laszlo had their own private, boutique. The service I received at the Erno Laszlo boutique was excellent and they definitely showered me with deluxe samples after my purchase :) I look forward to the rest of the department store being completed! Montreal needs at least one luxury destination.
Love shopping at Holt ! Many brands that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. High end latest fashion trends. Good customer service from the staff.
We are going there as part of a special event. Lots of organized stuff, bites, cocktails, fashion show, live music band. We have discovered a lot of new things. We stayed until the end. We have been there two years in lines.
Really nice evening!
Wish they had more selection of Burberry trench coats. But very nice and informative staff.
During my last visits to a cosmetics counter at Ogilvy, I had not a good service, but an excellent service from an employee who was not only dedicated, but appreciated what he was doing. Very pleasant.
The grand old man of down-town department stores. Very high end, rather expensive, but totally worth a visit. The selection of foods downstairs is really impressive.
Terrible after sales customer service. Do not respect their own return/exchange policy.
To buy trendy and high quality clothing, this is the place in Montreal.
Very nice new location. Lots of selection. 4th floor is very nice especially the shoe section leading into the Four Seasons. Definitely recommend.
Expensive but as expected.
Expensive but meets expectations.
Went there to get a Christmas present and as usual from luxury shops the employees will ignore you if you are not dressed to show off, and will even act somewhat surprised when you won't flinched at the price tags and actually proceed to buy. But I guess you can't expect something else from people working in that field where they sell stuff so that people can show to the world they can afford expensive stuff.
LV shop are great, polite and everything, but the Center is ogilvy, has lots of renovation going on right now, the mall is super small, not a lot of people shop in there, and the merchandise wasn t that interesting either.
Hands down the best place for luxury menswear in Montreal.
Nice customer service a lot of beautiful stock in store love it
Gotta love the Chanel cosmetics spot! Venus is really nice!!! She won't try to sell you things that don't fit you. She's just honest and natural. I might be a demanding customer but I just love how she treats her clients!
Big beautiful multi story retail store. Good service and. Very expensive
LIFE IS NOT A VIDEO GAME - IT INVOLVES REAL HUMANS
If what you get is what you read and see,
Especially if it is at Ogilvy (1307, rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, Montreal, Canada, H3G 1P7)
Then you are highly advised to throw in the trash the movie,
When your customer service involves,
Profanity, obscenity and vulgarity,
Of mind, spirit, tongue and body.
If what you get is what you read and see,
And realize that you are nothing more than a Quarter,
In a giant symphony to either yours' or God's glory
Unfortunately for you Ogilvy,
No matter how many times you restructure,
Or get sold, and resold, and demonstrate apathy,
The public will wake up and smell the coffee,
And refuse to be spat on, and insulted indiscriminately,
By your staff who are foaming at the mouth,
With hatred, incompetence, and arrogance,
Just to try and purchase; forget about wearing,
Your useless Tiffany, Rinaldi and Bugatti.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
If this is what Ogily Canada does to customers in public, I cannot and do not, want to imagine or know what they do to their employees in private, or to any of God's children, on any given floor or their store, and certainly not in their basement.
Santa Daniel is hereby replacing Santa Claus' effective immediately: do put all of your movies and video games in the trash, they are heretofore historically inaccurate, factually anachronistic, timely obsolete, and if the future obsolete, especially those containing obscenity, vulgarity and profanity.
Santa Daniel is looking for Mama Daniel, whomsoever she may be and wheresoever she may reside, in order to begin international operations
Santa Daniel, who is a VVUP (very very unimportant person), and who delivers goodly goods and discerning consultation reports for VVIP's (very very important persons) hereby gives notice that there is still time to repent before God Almighty to be put back on the nice and worthy list for this Christmas
Ogilvy Canada has lots of space and no heart to fill it. No product diversification, no content, no product density, and definitely no customer service anywhere to be found as ascertained in the following official observations:
1) decisions to misinform, non-inform, or fraudulently inform (floors, restrooms, products and products availability)
2) decisions to make unprofessional, unhelpful, and disrespectful remarks that are unwarranted
3) decisions to profile and follow a customer obnoxiously around the store in the most uncomfortable and non-legitimate fashion possible
4) decisions to refuse customer service and product descriptions, explications or material compositions
5) decisions to unjustly and illegitimately expel a customer from a store premise/building
6) decisions, once offered grace and reprieve, for their vile and inhuman behavior, to refuse to revisit and reassess their expulsion procedures and legitimate reasons thereof, and thus, a decision to continue in their abhorrent and deceitful behavior towards a customer. The pretension that they refuse to entertain a customer looking for Christmas stamps with scenes of the Nativity on them, and that they refuse to acknowledge Jesus-Christ as King of Christmas is their choice and opinion which they are entitled to, but that Ogilvy Canada refuses to acknowledge one simple fact of customer service excellence, that The customer and his shopping needs/questions is king, in unacceptable behavior and service of the most base and intolerable nature for any legitimate, civil and legal business operations, and which may or may not, lead to their eventual bankruptcy, or the disapproval and rupture of business relations with their various suppliers who will not tolerate this level on nonsensical, non-sensible, and irreducibly foul and revolting low levels or non-existent levels of customer service
7) decisions to be in disregard of federal law by illegitimate and unlawful refusal of service or access to service of a State sanctioned postal service (Canada Post) contained within their business premises and operating on their fourth (4th) floor.
Ogilvy's is like having Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills, right here in Montreal. It's always been a favourite store of mine (for many different reasons), so, I'm looking forward to seeing how the renovations turn out, when finally done in 2020. I know the prices of items might seem high, but it's not Walmart. When you go to Ogilvy's you should expect to see higher prices. Even if you can't afford to buy much, I still think it's fun to have a look around. Most Montrealers probably can't shop in Ogilvy's on a regular basis. (I know I can't.) But, that doesn't mean you can't "window shop". Ogilvy's is great eye candy. Maybe it's a store to buy something special, for someone special. Maybe you'll have to save up to buy something, instead of "instant gratification". Maybe you have nothing else to do one afternoon, so stopping into Ogilvy's might be just the thing to pass some time. Ogilvy's is a Montreal landmark. We are losing alot of retail stores, to online shopping, so hopefully Ogilvy's will be around for a long time, to come. All I know is that it's fun to visit. You just never know...maybe something will catch your eye one day and with any luck, it'll be on sale!
My favourite Ogilvy's feature is, of course, the window display at Christmas time.
The Steiff animals are so cute!
Selection for men is small and the suits are very dissapointing. Customer service was also dissapointing, salesmen couldnt be bothered to help find anything and continuously pushed to purchase ill fitting clothes or an item I stated I did not like.
Very pleasant instore experience, sales are very friendly
Where to find exquisite clothes with de signer service +
I have been a customer of Ogilvy forever! Really enjoying their cosmetics counters and the warm intimate service! Since they have merged with Holts I have visited the cosmetics counter twice, and with the exception of the Guerlain, the rest of the staff are quite standoffish, and negligent! I am originally from Toronto and I have never gotten such bad service in any of the downtown Toronto branches! Really disappointed! In some cases I had to wait for the sales associates to finish their chat/or get off of their phone to attend to me. In one case, the woman kept taking to me in French, even though I was speaking to her in English and she could see that I am struggling! I just expected much more from Holts!
If you like personalized, friendly service and absolutely beautiful clothes this is the place to shop. The second floor is a treasure trove of gorgeous high-end styles. I am especially fond of their Eileen Fisher section where you can always find a comfortable great-looking t-shirt or skinny great-fitting jeans. This is my go-to place whenever I want to spruce up my wardrobe and feel that I have something truly fashionable to wear to an occasion.
For those who have luxurious taste I would love to have this watch it is worth $ 25,000, but hey I already have a sportech watch from Jean Coutu at $ 25 it's crazy what it can do 0
