This is the not-quite-finished new Holts/Ogilvy hybrid. I enjoy that it was attached to our hotel. The areas that were completed were very nice, aesthetically. Staff at Prada and Yurman were lovely. Staff at Chanel made me feel quite pressured and as I later found out from my SA, told me a lie regarding a product I was interested in. I was going to purchase some items there (anf some from my SA), but that rubbed me the wrong way, so I purchased nothing and I ll buy what I can from my SA, the items I miss out on... oh well, not worth being lied to. Holt Renfrew staff in men s department were not super helpful either... however, I do hope things are improved once this location is fully functioning. I will be returning a few times this year and we will see. Overall, I have hopes, but not impressed yet.
It's pretty and high end. If you cannot afford to spend more than 200$ on a shirt...just walk out...
The new shop is pleasant. Ladies from Chanel were consistently not friendly and couldn't be bothered (both three times that I went there since late last year) but Allen from Jo Malone was very helpful and accommodating. I would buy my Chanel toiletries and perfume online but would continue buying my Jo Malone products here just because their service is top notch.
Alex and Vincent from Fendi are absolutely amazing. Perfect service, SO friendly, shopping with them is so much fun. We bought something downstairs from Vincent. It was an amazing experience. We then went and browsed upstairs where Alex was working, she was so helpful and gave us the best service possible. Our experience due to both of them together and separately was absolutely outstanding. It was our first time at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much guys!!
If you are very RICH, it's the place to go. You will find all the expensive Boutique.
I used to love going to Ogilvy, especially for Christmas. It now lacks that special lustre it once had, a true shame.
Time to get a facelift Ogilvy. We keep waiting and waiting. U gettin ugly.
The only thing I dislike about this store concerns employees who give you this look and judge you before actually helping you. I was going to buy something at The Tiffany counter but the clerk was just saying anything to make a sale. She was so unpleasant to deal with. Ended up ordering online from Tiffany making the experience enjoyable. Customer service shouldn't be taken lightly in any company.
, , . , . . . .
Oh wow i just found out today when i visited that, all the men section of each designer has been transferred in the Ogilvy section which is a block or two from the Ritz. My major concern is the super high temperature inside the Ogilvy store. They crank up the heat so much it gets discouraging to shop. Please fix this. Oh and there should be bathrooms at least on each floor.
The new renovations rejuvenate the place that was much needed. Large expensive brands for ordinary people but for those who do not count, you'll find plenty of choices for spending the monthly salary of an average family.
The luxury in an aesthetic and relaxed atmosphere. A very eclectic choice. Related prices, sometimes a little too much. But the quality is there.
People are watching, nobody is buying ... now is not the time to waste money on luxury rags at high prices ...
Excellent service and choice of products up to my expectations
Wow, wow and wow. Its great to see a luxury store like Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in Montreal. You would think you are in NYC.
Worst Cust Service Ever, This Place Won t Change Never. Went In Men s Winter Coats Section Where s Mackage Etc... I Did 2 Rounds & Doing Some Toutching, 3 Men s Sales Asso Speaking Together Near, No Hi No Hello Nothing.. I Mean I m Shopping for a 1200-1300$ Winter Coat Here.!! I Stayed About 10min in the Dept.
Not at the level of the parisian printemps or the english Harrods
Lot's of shop in shop. Looks a bit outdated, felt like back in the eighties, not much is going on there besides showing old brands in the higher price range.
very limited menswear, staff extremely unprofessional, lack any sense of style ,lazy, they don't even have good taste in clothes. it's always empty;I wonder who manages this place !
Just love the new mens department on the fifth floor.
steven shopnick loves this place Canada is the greatest place to shop.
This is the Bergdorf Goodman of Canada and aervice like a Level 4 Nordstrom shopper. Loved it!
Wonderful experience, exquisite cologne and exceptional service from Jeremy.
Upscale shopping experience, harkens back to the quaint old style department store experience, but some floors lacking options or out of stock, especially in the men's department.
The sellers are adorable at chanel in the perfume department and the sellers at Gucci too
Such a disappointment! During a recent shopping trip their escalator malfunctioned and ripped a giant hole in my expensive coat. I was told not to worry, they would take care of it. After several months the coat was returned damaged without even a note to say they were sorry for the incident. A beautiful store does not make up for such poor customer care and responsibility
Super interesting. Always find what you are looking for. Very effective counselors to find what works for us.
Top luxury department store in Montreal. Great old school decor. An absolutely awesome travel back to the time where class and good taste were still in fashion. Did I mention LIVE bagpipes?
Just another over priced store, it's lost its tradition and charm with the loss of its pipers, and Christmas display !
Very nice good service prices some specials some normal , it is a high fashion place all good , nice people
Shopping center for branded brands, so ... It's pretty obvious. Whatever we feel that management cuts costs, so quality
Very beautiful little Christmas decorations in the window. To have!!!
Great service that comes at a High price. I know, you get what you pay for, but c'mon, $275 for a men's dress shirt? At least it was tailored for free lol. No parking, unless your an Ogilvy member. This place is in constant renovations, kind of like the construction of city streets in Montreal.
Top notch service from Manouch. By far the most professional and knowledgable sales representative i dealt with in the parfums section. Will definitely refer clients!!
Fantastic service. Selection is a bit limited in comparison to holt renfrew
Great customer service. But they made this location too complicated.
The people at the Louis Vuitton department are very knowledgeable and helpful. As for the rest of the store you get the occasional flake who pretends to be nice to you just to get a sale but for the most part the staff is very respectful and pleasant.
The last of the Ste-Cath Victorian department stores! Do not miss their mechanical Christmas window display during the holiday season!
somw store clerks will ignore you if they think you dont have money. happened to me more than once and some of my friends too
I like this business that offers exclusive brands. However, I can not understand why unilingual Anglophone employees are still hired. And I'm not talking about older salespeople who were engaged in another era, I'm talking about young employees. Clearly, the employee Creed booth, unilingual anglophone, and non-verbal unsympathetic, Holt Renfrew worth these unfortunate two stars.
Nice and quiet. Can just grab what you want and try it on in a nice changing booth. Workers are nice. Lots of brands and clothes to pick from as long as you're filthy rich.
As per usual with these kind of stores, Ogilvy is overpriced, has poor selection and snobby snooty self important Sales Associates who look down on you unless you are a rich white middle aged woman clad in Hermes from head to toe. Skip!
Un grand magasin un peu comme la bay, beaucoup de marque, plutot cher et haut de gamme
Great service for the fragrances on the bottom floor.
High-end $$ department store. Didn't buy anything so cannot comment on service. Bring your credit card[s]!
Ogilvy men. I am a regular buyer for several years. Since Holt Renfrew bought Ogilvy, the new staff / new faces at Ogilvy man look rude, unmotivated, customer service that pitiful! they spend their time watching you as an extraterrestrial and they talk to each other as if the customers did not exist. Before, I had fun coming to find beautiful things to relax. Now, it will be said that it stresses me to go there with the faces serious / without smile or formulas of politeness. Come on, Ogilvy pay a little more salary for more professional and pleasant staffs !!!
Phenomenal place. Rivals Harrods and Selfridges in London. This is what a department store should be.
Saw someone s positive review as ...number of staff is almost greater than customers.... Ummm sorry, there is a reason for that and it s not positive (think about it). It gets 2 stars. One for its convenient location, and one for some of its products. Hopefully with the large renovation next door they ll fix the public stadium restroom style side entrance. Also Fyi... quality over quantity is the way to go when talking about customer service... IMHO
The Ogilvy house is dead, long live Holt Renfrew Ogilvy! Ogilvy was class and luxury HR Ogilvy is extreme opulence and super-luxury ... without class But if you are looking for abundance and have the means, have fun! Regulars of the Ogilvy House (the original) will regret the attentive service of the former employees, the majority of the employees have been replaced and it is no longer the same thing. Long live the change? It s still a must on rue Ste-Catherine, the holiday windows shine brightly, the essential mechanical decorations are to be seen at least once and the establishment is one of the most beautiful in the city. To visit, even if you don't want to buy anything.
Worst customer service ever. We returned a neckless that cost around $800 with tracking and the proof of delivery and they refuse to reimburse us because they claim the package was empty. They then proceeded to accuse my mom of stealing it. Despicable customer service and store clerks. Never buying here again.
Ranks pretty much one the worst from the upscaled department stores I ve been to. Layout is so poorly designed especially the beauty sector, at least with some flowers, better lightings or have some sort of wall design please? Four out of five times I had no one helping me out at men s fragrance/ men s shoes no one was on duty or no testers for all products. Five out of five times I had no one asking what I m looking for or guiding me to the fitting room at men s casual wear section, no such thing called service.Feels like I m in a fancy winners. Good experience with gentlemen s brands, they did offer some help and good suggestions. Have some decent deco please, and have more ppl, Toronto ones deliver an inviting and energetic ambience, this one is kinda.... bitter
Did NOT have AC on a 35 degree celsius (42 with humidity) day. Crazy.
Wow they carry name Ouds! Go c Khadija at the Cologne counter.
The cafeteria is one of the best things about shopping at Old Navy.
Worst customer service for Prada. The sales associate was an old woman with horrible customer service skills. She was not dressed professionally and was forcing me to purchase a bag, questioning me about why I wanted to get it online/ wanted to try them. I told her in advance that I was trying the 3 different bags that I had in mind, but she had the audacity to try forcing me to purchase it. She has so much attitude. If I need time to decide, I have the right to do so. I was not impressed, please hire some young talented people with energy in order to help with selections.
