Holiday Inn Bristol Airport Review

Great start to a lovely holiday with our car in safe hands until we returned 2 weeks later... the transfer mini bus ran like clock work! Well done!!

Everything was fine..until someone came into our room when my husband and I were asleep !!!!...when we shouted out who's there, he asked if our room was ok and warm enough !!, then disappeared with no apology. He had not knocked the door prior to entering, how he was able to come in is a mystery as our door was supposedly locked.
I tried to contact reception but phone was faulty.
I had to get dressed and walk to reception to report this.
They said it may have been one of the shuttle drivers/handyman delivering a heater !..we had not requested a heater.

We could not get back to sleep following this . It was very upsetting to be disturbed in this manner as we needed to get up at 3am for the shuttle to the airport.
Holiday Inn Bristol Airport need to check their security policy !

Friendly welcome all the usual facilities and only 5 mins to the airport

It is a rather simple hotel. The British cuisine and food preparation does not suit my taste.

Rooms are old and outdated, our double room was actually two single beds and two single mattresses stuck together. Breakfast was acceptable quality.

Pros: Nice rooms, very convenient to airport. Cons: Bar prices expensive, fee for airport shuttle

Comfortable and convenient airport hotel with good service and a good selection of food and drink.

Reception stereotyped and impersonal. Room ok. Restaurant in the evening not recommended. Service unmotivated and listless. Breakfast, however, good. Location very good.

Forced for three days to Britol due to strike .. in Italy ... of the air traffic controllers ... the easy jet airline has kindly offered us this unexpected stay, all inclusive, in this structure, where we found, as well as two Italians ... Vinay and Bartolo who were valuable for information in Italian, a team of friendly, kind and nice people .. congratulations !!! Even the kitchen turned out to be good and plentiful in the portions .. one of the few places where fortunately you can't find the "" carbonara "" ... in the English that is all ... except carbonara. Thanks to all of you at the Holiday Inn and easy jet.

Close to the airport, does what you need. Can rent cars here which is good.

The parking is a bit of a nightmare when full and they have a system whereby you have to type your registration into a tablet at the desk.

Simply awful.

Food terrible, no hot water and then the hotel failed to pick us up at the airport; despite them saying four times over a two hour period they were just leaving.

Staff not helpful I rang after I left and to say they wasn't helpful is a under statment would not stay here

Very clean, good food, comfy bed, powerful shower, just dont let them put you in room 101 as its next to the gym and a door that slams everytime someone walks through it, the running machine drove me mad.

Useful for overnight before early morning flight, comfortable and reasonable restaurant, which offers a range of continental breakfast from 4am and cooked after 6am. Guests also have use of a small fitness suite.

Great room, great service. Only surprise was a Maintenance guy coming into the room at 5am! Front desk staff were very apologetic the next day.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are adequate but no more. Unfortunately the heating failed so we had no hot water in the morning but staff were very apologetic.

Staff young but very helpful. As expected, but a fiver charge for parking in the car park!? (It's on the countryside for goodness sake). Oh ! Just remembered. They initially have me a room that had already been slept in.

Reception staff this evening - not very friendly - enquired about holiday inns business and regions and tried to engage with receptionist about general chit chat and tried to be spirited and humorous but it wasnt reciprocated at all. Bit of customer service staff training might help fill this gap.

We were given off site parking that we weren t informed about. The receptionist didn t care.
Our evening meal took over an hour to arrive. The waitress was a bit apologetic, but then I heard her getting plenty of practice.
Breakfast was lukewarm.
The staff were at best indifferent. I complained about the breakfast and was told by reception that the chef is cooking. I asked another member of staff who informed me that they weren t kitchen staff but went to talk to the chef and then sauntered off. The chef came out of the kitchen and peered at the food and went away again. No fresh hot food was provided. All this against the backdrop of too loud background music.

Nice place to stay if you have an early flight to Bristol airport.

Very slow at taking your order and a long wait to receive.got the burger meal all you could taste was garlic

We stayed the night before travel and we also stayed after our return flight. On both occasions we found the rooms to be very comfortable and clean. The staff were all really helpful and the food was very nice indeed. We're looking forward to the next stay there.

The shuttle is quite small and is not reliable in the "every half an hour" schedule. Apart from that, it is what you would expect from the price.

Let me start by saying this has nothing to with the staff as they are all polite and helpful. But the sheets on the bed had holes in, The large "double bed" was two singles pushed togeather although this is not unusual there was not a double mattress or even a topper to cover the gap. This was my most uncomfortable night stay in any hotel, The rooms were clean and tidy and the food is very nice but the bed for me was a MASSIVE let down as the main reason for going to a hotel is to sleep, I did not sleep well at all

We stayed at the Holiday Inn the night before flying off from Bristol airport. It is a very nice hotel. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room was exactly what we needed. Big comfy bed, Nice and warm, with tea, coffee making facilities.
The bar prices were reasonable too.
Every member of staff that we encountered was pleasant and friendly

Lovely place to stop overnight if you need an airport hotel. Staff really friendly too.

Superb, clean and quality hotel.

We had a stop over here and checked in at 1.30 am - the night manager was pleasant friendly and helpful making sure we got up on time to get our bus transfer.

The room was superb and immaculate with probably the best powerful shower I've had. There were some nice touches in the room with a well stocked courtesy tray.

Free WI FI is good and there is the opportunity to purchase faster speeds which seemed extremely - the first time I've seen this superb price structure.

Breakfast was full English or Continental we had a Continental and it was well presented with plenty of choice. The full English was help yourself and seemed plentiful. Service was great from Kat?? and we enjoyed our stay here.

We will return.

Only popped in waiting for a friend to rent a car from there but the receptionist was very hospitable and there was free tangy orange juice drink.

Great for relaxing before your fight, rooms very comfortable and always a warm welcome.

Staff was excellent helped in everything they could do, receptionist was a real star! Evening meal was also really good, we had the steak & Ale pie, which was crammed with flavoursome meat. Would definitely stay again here if in the area

Could do with an update, some poor young girl on a busy front desk in training no clue what she was doing. The desk manager in the back office putting her feet up. The girl had to keep calling her out with each customer. Not fun when your trying to check out at 4:00am for a flight.

Close enough to airport but not too close !
Good room, quiet and comfy.

No heating in the room, no iron, shower had to be repaired, bed was unsteady.

Very friendly staff, room spotless and food really good. Bed comfier than my own.

Staff is very friendly there. The rooms are quite basic and it is a bit far from the airport but still it is OK for one night.

Had a breakfast not that inexpencive and some of the foid was cold

The stay was fine, room clean and comfortable.



Lady at check out was nice.

Shower could be better, it was too low and the water went everywhere.

It's a Holiday Inn what can I say, staff are great bedroom is great food and drink are as is.. happy days....

Super overnight stay before an early flight, highlight after a long drive was the plate of freshly baked cookies at reception!!

Stopped here to charge my car, spent a pleasant 20 min in the foyer/bar .

Classy and rooms seems to be in the tent eating breakfast and excellent secure parking tv payment is just inpiedi short if you can avoid the great rest if you want something near airport

Great value hotel with its close proximity to Bristol airport. The food is tasty, the airport shuttle service is excellent. Tushar the duty manager and Jasmine on front desk were very helpful, as were all the staff. Thoroughly recommend

On arrival the staff were so welcoming , polite , and very helpful . I was very pleased with our room it was nice and modern clean and tidy . Our eveing meal was excellent. Id defiantly recommend a stay here .
